Had a great time seeing all the animals. Masks were semi-required. Open air spaces that you could maintain 6 ft spacing they are not required but in closed air spaces like the manatee tunnel and other areas they are required. Beautiful Christmas are set up and starts around 4pm with extra vendors.

Wonderful outing with the kids. A variety of animals to see. The carousel is the hub of the park, with each continent being a spoke in the wheel- Africa, Asia, Florida, Australia/ kid zone.We avoid the kid zone when we dont want to be hands on or ride the rides and it avoids tantrums. The rest of the park is very family friendly, and the members discounts on food are a great incentive to stay through lunch time. There are benches outside the main entrance to do a picnic lunch, but the squirrels are pretty vicious, so beware.Masks are required indoors, but not out, so its also a pretty covid safe environment :)

This is my favorite place in Tampa. The price is very reasonable for all the multitudes of things you get to do. The David A Straz Manatee Hospital is incredible and if you can find a volunteer or an employee with some extra time they can tell you a lot about their rescue, rehabilitate, and release program. The Florida boardwalk really focuses on local wildlife and rescue. They also have a huge animal hospital! If youve seen this zoo on the Secrets of the Zoo Tampa show, its even cooler seeing all the animals in real life. Its like meeting celebrities! Highly recommend it, great family zoo with tons of activities and rides for kids and great educational moments as well. I absolutely suggest looking into some of their up close animal encounters. Ive done the penguin, both rhinos, and the giraffe feeding, and I couldnt be happier!

Went for the limited Christmas lights event. It was a night event. Park was probably around 25% full. Employees and guests that were in line for rides had masks on. They cleaned the ride after each use. It was a good time. My kid loved it. Especially after being stuck home since this pandemic started.

We made reservations prior to going to the zoo with the understanding the reservation was for crowd control during the covid pandemic. No one asked for our reservation number at any time. Masks were few and far between, but the people were not. There was no enforcing of masks or social distancing. High touch areas were not being sanitized. My wife, in laws, and infant son left quickly as we did not feel safe.

Very nice visit. Weather was great today, not too hot and not too cool. Park was in good clean shape, didnt look like a zoo lol, pun intended. Not too many patrons there either so it made seeing all the exhibits easy. We managed the whole park plus the quick safari ride within a 2 and a half hour time span. People were following mask guidelines as well. Been going to Lowry Park since I was a kid.

Since we dont have to purchase tickets each time, we make sure to eat or participate in special encounters any time we go. This way we continue to support the animals. I really really enjoyed this zoo we’ve got elephants they have a rhinoceros they’ve got many birds I’ve got many interactive exhibits. They have a nice slow moving train that travels through their Serengeti area With wild animals really nice for small children. My daughter lives in Riverview which is near Tampa where the zoo Tampa is wanted to have a family time outdoors with our 18 month old granddaughter it wasn’t so crowded that you had to wear your mask all the time because everyone was social distancing except when you got in the line. But lots of trees lots to cover it was just a beautiful day I have so many more pictures but they’re all family and I don’t post family pictures online but I recommend this place get the season pass it’s only like $36 for a visit but only 99 for the whole year and they are even giving away an extra three months right now

We love going to ZooTampa! While all of the rides still aren’t in operation, and the petting zoo isn’t open, there are still tons of great activities to partake in. The zoo is much bigger than it first appears, and is divided into several different countries/regions based on the animals native to them. The zoo staff is very quick to talk to you about the animals in the exhibits, giving you fun facts and the names and personalities of the creatures. They also have lots of alcohol selections! they have a great beer garden in Africa, and several locations where beer, wine, and liquor can be purchased for consumption. Also, the beer garden has BOGO free draft beers and well mixed drinks which is an awesome deal! Definitely a great time for the whole family, and bring the kids’ bathing suits for the splash pad!

I loved it! Honestly I think this is the first Zoo I have ever been to too! All the animals were out and about, eating and enjoying the sun. It took hours but I did manage to see every single animal the zoo had in store. I also paid the little bit extra to be able to go back for the rest of the year, which is more than worth it if you ask me. I can not even pick a favorite animal I saw during my visit, there were just too many! Also, I had no idea just how large, literally unfathomable, some of these animals were. I never would have guessed. I also enjoyed a bit of hide and seek with some of the animals, though admittedly they were in plain sight usually, which can disconcerting depending on which animal youre visiting. So, and I hate to cut this review so short... but I will be going back! 10 outta 10 would do again!

ZooTampa is a great zoo in an odd location. Driving up, we almost pass right by the entrance each time because its on a busy road. But, this is an amazing zoo with a lot to offer; and its much larger than it seems.Originally from the Tri-State area, the Philadelphia Zoo has always been my favorite. Ive been to Delaware zoos (nothing to brag about) as far as Las Vegas zoos. ZooTampa is a commendable zoo and its even more impressive that they have a segment on Disney+.The most impressive aspects of this zoo are the Safari your and feeding a giraffe for only $5. Neither of these experiences were offered at any other zoo Ive visited. Major kudos for offering such a unique experience!Ticket prices are pretty reasonable for all that the zoo offers (speaking from a family of four). They have plenty of parking which is nice. Even on their busiest days (just before Christmas), we were still able to find parking.Everyone is very friendly, and I love how the park is spread out and you dont feel like youre right on top of other guests. But be prepared to WALK. When approaching the entrance, it is deceiving because the park is rather large. On summer days, its unrealistic to tour the entire zoo in one trip (at least if youre not a native-born Floridian). You can easily get a workout while entertaining your kids, so bring sunblock, the tiny motorized fans for your strollers, and a mister.Oh — I also appreciated the uniqueness and ease of their COVID check-in when assessing temperatures. Its nice how hands-off it is and the employees even stopped to explain how it worked. Very nice.
