I beautiful walk through African American culture and history. The setup is a nice pathway to walk you through history from the 1800s to mid-2010s. Plus its free. The area is kept up nicely. Has restrooms, benches, water park feature and open grass area. Definitely worth the trip.

What an incredible way to tell a story! As Downtown Tampa rises from the ground it is a powerful thing to remember how it all started. Take a stroll around the park and back in history for an artistic presentation that truly captures our past. A walk not to be missed.

Love history. I was very pleasantly surprised how beautiful and clean the area was considering there was lots of homeless people there. But they didnt bother us.

Nice arts park, long stretch park with a MLK outlook to it, a nice stake park.

Picnic tables. Water park. Trees. Plenty of grass. Skate park. Close to local bus, greyhound, train, and airport. Apartments nearby have easy access to all amenities park.

This park has the worst amount of food litter (talking actual food stuffs not the wrappers, but those are all over too!). Allergy food litter!

I did my family photos at this amazing park! Go for a beautiful stroll in this park to learn about Tampa’s African American history! Not many know about it- some take it for granted. If you’re looking for a place To have a cook out, family picnic, community party, this is the place. They even have a sprinkler the kids will enjoy!

Amazing park very nice open area!

Nice community park. Has a very good skateboard bowl where people can practice their skills. Many grills but no picknick tables. Has a couple of basketball courts as well as a hardtop trail... Several awesome murals decorate a couple concrete walls. Nice sculptures can be seen at the park entrance... It has a beautiful water fountain that dances. Well maintained.

Nice park but prepare to have your space invaded by a homeless person.

I love this place I come several times a week at 840p to watch the light show and listen to great music for 10 minutes its so relaxing.

I visited this park two years in a row for veg fest and it never disappoints. The scenery is beautiful but I really enjoy how clean the staff members keep the bathrooms and the grounds. They are also really pleasant people. The events at this park are always a blast. Way to go!

My toddler loves the splash pad and the cool looking Jazz statues. It’s a great place to take photos of something unique. It’s rarely busy and easy to park along the sidewalk on the side road in front of the splash pad. They have speakers but haven’t heard them play music before even in the summer. There is a skateboard park, basketball court and other things to do within walking distance of the splash pad and you can find scooter rentals all around.

Nice place to walk and do a quick workout

I thought the park was dilapidated and run down. I never saw the statues that I see in Google maps for I didnt want to get out of the car and near the troupe of homeless vagrants manning the benchs. This is not recommended for children or anyone with something worth stealing.

This park is underrated. Wish they still had the water fountains during the pandemic.

It was really nice I was able to just sit there and read in the shade then when the night came I received a very welcomed surprise water works color show as well as soft music now that was very delightful then the park closed the end to a beautiful day

The pool at closing time is absolutely fabulous an to vote during the day time on a sunny day, well dont forget your your bathing suit, you have to cool off thats for sure an if you like history take a still day the side walk an it gives some history of the wars an the folks involved in that time an ara,then the entrance you will see if you could manage to visit, its a nice place to visit during the summer hot days

The bro bowl is a fun place to skate. Its an open park that accommodates boards, blades, bikes and scooters. There are restrooms and benches in the park. There is also a splash pad which is always busy when its hot. There is a large grassy area and two or three basketball courts. There are no refreshments available on site, however there is a burger king close by.

Lots of Tampa history is shown as you walk the right side of the park.

It’s a lovely little family friendly park with great art and history enhancing it. Sadly the staff can’t keep up with maintaining bathrooms.

Its a small park I sat in occasionally. Good for walking your dinner down taking in the lovely weather. Not much to do until they are throwing a nice musical event or what have u. Dog owners walk their dogs here got to be careful. Otherwise you can find a spot to briefly sat a spell & just enjoy your day.

Perry Harvey Park is another park thats been reconstructed and I must say its a nice very nice job theres a splash pad for the kids to play you see historical Central Park and Central Avenue you have the mirrors up to tell you the history of the area a lot of history there a lot of history but all-in-all is some nice park to go just relax they have a lot of events there like the dog dog shows and just a whole array of things happened to that Park you have to really keep up with it or youre really miss something but all in all its a nice part

Very lovely park. Gorgeous artwork that celebrates local artists. Complete with interactive waterworks for kids, basketball court and skate park. Lush greenery. Great for outdoor concert events.

Veg fest was great! Lots of variety

If you were around at the time, it would be a nice place to call your walk down memory lane. For me, theres not enough events to bring life to the park. Of all the famous people that paraded this area for a stomping grounds should already contribute more than pictures of the past....get out there and rebuild.

Would have given this park 5 stars, but the older gentleman who is a park employee does not pick up trash in the mornings or at all. The younger guy is friendly and picks up everything. This is one of Bob Buckhorns pride and joy. He even does drive bys and we wave at him. Keep it clean for everyone to enjoy.

Cute park great for kids to play and have picnic at the same time, the park is clean as well obviously highly maintained.

Clean and open park with benches and tables. Big grass area with statues and art. It would appear to include a small water park or play area for the kids during summer with a beach shower to wash off and public bathrooms, too.

Recently remodeled and open now to the public. The city did a fantastic job with space and educational mission of the park. They have a wet fountain area for children to play in with an available outside open shower to rinse off.There are restrooms on site and chilled fountain water, a nice touch on a hot humid summery day.
