I take the dogs there for a walk. Most owners clean up after their dogs and they keep the park very clean. Upkeep on cutting the grass is top notch. Water fountain is wet and flowing. Very nice place to relax....maybe eat a lunch on one of the picnic tables.

Great place to go and read a book and fresh air this is my hang out spot when I want to get alway from my apartment for a while and to be with nature yup that park is the place to be

I like that you can sit and read and its quiet and you can put your feet in a fountain and

Its a great place for a restful pitstop. Its close to the criminal courthouse so every now and then someone with less than a human regard for common decency will make their way to the park. Overall its not a park for playing baseball, its a park for quiet reflection and a brief urban getaway to sit on a well maintained bench and eat your lunch perhaps. If you want to say something romantic to someone for the first time, it definitely has that aura to it. It also has a few photo friendly landmarks throughout. Not bad for a relatively tiny park space.

Very peaceful place to take a lunch break or just want to get some time with mother nature. Landscaping is very appealing and when coupled with the fountain makes for a nice relaxing environment. Plenty of choices for seating with multiple bench on the inner perimeter of the park and benchs surrounding the fountain. Plus Firefighters Memorial Park offers an opportunity to acquire information about Fire Department men that lost their lives. Overall its a nice peace of serenity in a busy downtown area.

A little park in Syracuse. The Park is surrounded by offices, the Onondaga County Sheriffs office I s located at the right side of the park, this park is located at Syracuse Downtown, four blocks at right you can find the OnCenter in State St.

Nice place to sit and chill, take in the wildlife, people, and ambiance of the sounds of the city.

Local, downtown its relaxing there is a pond with a fountain and alot if semi-private benches

Nice park to quietly sit downtown on your lunch hour. There are NO amenities though except a few benches. They put pretty Christmas lights up during the Holiday season too!

Lots of options for the kids, good shaded seating for parents to keep a good eye out. Ground around equipment is padded for falls.

Bruce Gordon. Clark Kent. Hamilton Salisbury White. Citizens until the alarums sound. Heroes when the moment called for one. Gordon and Kent belong to fiction. White belongs to history. On March 13th, 1899, White and his wife were attending a concert. The Mowry Hotel caught fire, placing the life of ninety guests in peril. White answered the call, his coachman bringing helmet, gear and protective clothing, as instructed. Whites coach had awaited in readiness, the words Syracuse Fire Department painted on its sides. The coachman knew where to find White, at the concert hall.Ninety guests roused from their beds, the fire fought to a loss, not one guest suffered a major injury.In the aftermath, White sadly mistook his chest pains for heartburn. He took a medication salvaged from a pharmacy he had helped to save. He collapsed on the sidewalk, stricken by a heart attack.
