We visited the Zoo, which as a child I had visited and was very depressed about, but now! It was so nice! The slight hills made me and my kids feel like we were on safari making animals discoveries along the way. A lot was closed due to COVID restrictions but it was worth it to visit. There were activities for kids and plenty to see with staff to answer curious kid questions. The baby elephant was our family favorite but we a enjoyed visiting all of the outdoor enclosures. The indoor enclosure that is currently open is very well ventilated. They have a ton of hand sanitizing stations and ask kids not to tough the glass...as if thats possible. We found we felt best with a sanitize before glass and sanitize after approach for COVID safety.It was a great time!

Hung out in the shade for just a little while. Roasting hot outside so we enjoyed a couple pints of Ben & Jerrys. She had Peanut Butter Cup & I tried Everything But the... Pretty good stuff.

Great park. Big and playground and benches and adult workout equipment. Lots of green areas and picnic tables in the shade

This was a very clean small city zoo. The attendants were very polite and informative

Golf course is great if youre a mountain goat, I personally enjoy it. The pool... Well, youre getting into the water that has soaked the population of an urban center. You do the math.There is a strange little exercise course too. Caution: sometimes contains birds.

It was super quiet during our visit. Very few people there. Like having our own private zoo! We had a snack at the cafe. The food is high quality. My dad had turkey on whole wheat. Me, tuna on white. Fast friendly service. Our family are members of the zoo so we go a lot. Still sad about the passing of one of the Tigers.

Its a good place to walk or run.

Clean! I cant even say enough about how clean it was. We had an awesome family day here. I will be returning when we are in the area. So much fun! And my son finally saw a sloth in real life? He didnt want to leave.

Best 9 hole course in City of Syracuse!

I grew up swimming, golfing, sled riding and going to the zoo at Burnet Park when I was a kid in the 70s. My kids ate now enjoying the same minus the sled riding. Park is kept clean and well maintained.

It was fun but different than expected! Its like a hayride at an apple orchard! It was great though! Pluse they have lots of great things for the kids inside!

Whats not to love about animals. I still hate masks

This is a perfect place to spend time with your family. The Zoo is fantastic for kids with a great assortment of animals in an accessible environment and well cared for. The park has a pool and playground, a golf course, picnic tables and tennis courts. A really nice place.

Heard they host a lot of community events here. The Haunted House was ALL THAT and FREE! Can’t wait to see what they do next year

Burnett park such a nice place. It use to be nice, now it is just another junk/grave yard of a park. Is spooky and scary, just neglected. Shame on you Syracuse. No one cleans noone picks up trush no caps visible. There just youngsters gangs running around so whenever I will go through I always look/prepare for being mugged or something. Fortunately it didnt happen yet but its just a matter of time, I believe. So if any one decided to go there for a stroll, be cautious. There in the back is a monument for memory of these from our community, who gave life for our freedom in world war ii and until recently the city did not give to much to it. Finally just after memorial day they put a new flag pole line on the pole but I did not see flag flying. Unless it was for a very short time flying up there. Shame Syracuse, shame.

Had an excellent time at the Burnet zoo! Was a beautiful day n almost all of the animals were out to be seen!

Nice and quiet, kids at play, people running kids looking for Pokemon go items. Pool looks inviting but possibly was not open on Saturday.

Zoo is very nice! Not overly large but will take you a good afternoon to see all the exhibits.

Space for Yur children to run around and enjoy a nice day at the park. Good quiet area thats safe and clean for children to play.

It has one of the oldest golf courses in New York thats a good place to go camping take your kids swimming its a beautiful area

Nice place to go and unwind during the day. While I dont go there for, or use them, the park includes a golf course, ball fields, large swimming pool and other amenities. The zoo is also part of the park. But that has a separate entrance

Fun park updated... has a timed mini ninja warriors area for kids. 8-14ish.

Great park with a lot of space to bring dogs, run, golf and swim. Great little area right behind the zoo.

They dont really have animals to see needs to be updated too expensive $14 a person its not worth it

The grounds are beautiful .The animals are in the best possible sites .And they are beautiful and interesting .It is a wonderful walk in nature !

I grew up in Syracuse and would visit the zoo. It has been great seeing all the changes they have done.

Beautiful park. A little remiss in cutting grass and picking up dead limbs/debris. A few patrons apparently feel picking up after their dogs is beneath them or doesnt apple to them. A small number of folks also occasionally feel compelled to share their poor taste in loud music...but overall beautiful park, great trees, soccer and baseball fields, mini golf course. Not crowded.

Such a great part to walk the trails or even play some golf, use the athletic fields are always in great shape. New backboards and rims for the basketball courts we installed I think 2 summers ago.

Very nice walk on New Years Day. The park was clean and there were several people walking their dogs. Been here hundreds of times.
