Located in the east Syracuse near westcott, it is a perfect place for kids and students. It has a playground, tennis and badminton courts.Besides the park, It has a walk trail opposite to it alongside a canal passing through the place. The trail is a calm and peaceful way to walk or bike.

Grew up around this park, it was a childhood hangout spot. Very large, the pond trail is very nice as well. Great for all activities, dog walkers and joggers. Parking has never been an issue though during a soccer game or event I could understand if it gets busy. If you get the time, go on tge morningside cultural trail, it starts at a kiosk in Barry Park.

The area is so quiet and peaceful. Cars rarely pass next to park and the view of the lake is spectacular. I wouldnt recommend it for a night visit though. The goose are so used to people and if you are lucky you may get to pet one! The Tops market is near so buying some snack and having it by lake next to goose might sound a nice plan (make sure to take your trashes though, the park is super clean!).

Nested at the intersection of the Nottingham, Westcott, and the University neighborhoods of Syracuse New York lies the reason why Syracuse is such a livable City. Barry Park is several acres of city park that is comprised of sporting facilities, playgrounds, and nature preserve. It is a gathering place for people living in the city for it is within a few blocks of several hundred homes. Once you are in the confines of the park you will question if you are really within the midst of a densely populated city. The park is well maintained. Many organizations including schools, the Parks Department and individual organizations such as Eastside Soccer have made use of this park for their activities. There are great bike paths and pedestrian walks through the park. There are areas you can commune with nature. It has always been a place where people have gather to have pick up games utilizing the soccer fields, basketball courts, and tennis courts. I have seen people play Ultimate Frisbee, football and there is even baseball diamonds.People have use the open space to launch low power rockets. This is perhaps one of the safest parks within the city limits. If you live in this area and you are not a regular visitor, you should become one. For this is truly one of the great resources that we have in the City of Syracuse

Public so sport fields, a playground, activity center open in the summer, two poorly maintained concrete tennis courts. The best part of the park is the running/waking path that surrounds a pond/Creek. Theres many birds and small wildlife. Its a brilliant repose of nature right in town.

Re
Review №80

Its a well maintained park. Basketball and tennis courts, ball fields, playground, picnic tables, and a mulched walking path around the detention basin. The boulevard is divided into a one-way road and a closed off road for young cyclists, skate boarders, etc. that requires flattop, though it is too short to do much with for distance.
