This venue offers parking directly across the street for easy access. The theater offers beverages (alcohol and non-alcoholic)and food prior to the show if you wish to arrive early. The seats are very comfortable and I always enjoy the plays that are performed there. I would highly recommend this venue.
Great show tonight. Thoughts Of A Colored Man was amazing. Very thoughtful provoking and relatable. Everyone should see this show. Amazing cast mixed with reality, music and a good storyline. Syracuse Stage is an awesome venue. There are no bad seats in the house and plenty of leg room. Staff is very accommodating.
I just returned home after being fortunate enough to take 7 of my students to see Beauty and the Beast! The show was AMAZING and has a fun filled cast. My students were very excited to take a picture with The Beast and Mrs. Potts and I really appreciate that they both took the time to speak with them. I, also, want to express my gratitude to a woman who helped my student and I. My student, during the show, got a bloody nose and we had to sneak out. Tracy came to help us and she offered not only suggestions, tissues, water and support but she also cleaned my students shirt! She encouraged us to go back in, when his nose stopped bleeding so we could enjoy the rest of the show, while she cleaned his shirt! Your actions were more powerful than you will ever know! You made an impact on my student and he was talking about how kind you were to him when we drove him home. Thank you for lending a helping hand and for role modeling the Christmas spirit to us both! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday- thank you for making a meaningful one for us!
Saw Beauty and the Beast. It was great! Everything Ive seen here has been great.
Amadeus was an amazing show, I hope folks choose to watch the video footage because it was my favorite production of the year, and probably in my top 5 ever out of the 60+ shows Ive seen there
Me and the woman went there for the first time in my entire life. First time I ever seen a live production. Had a great time.
Saw the SU Drama production of The Crucible and saw A Chorus Line last month. These students are rising stars. Quality productions with great talent. An economical way to see Broadway shows.
Broadway bounded up and coming theatrical plays. Limited accessibility. Seating is snug, cramped as older theatres, seating. Good place to view old and new themes of life. Polite partons and staff.
Syracuse stage is a treasure for our city. Ive been a season ticket holder every year since their first-half season in 1973 - 74. The theater is intimate and comfortable, and the prices are very reasonable. Most importantly, the quality of the productions is excellent. Purchase season tickets and youll have a thoroughly enjoyable evening out every six weeks or so from September through May. Also, this year with the purchase of season tickets you get a 10% discount at the bar where you can order drinks in advance for intermission.
Went to see Pride and Prejudice and it was a very good show. We live loved it!! The actors were great, the seats we had were perfect, the ticket prices were reasonable and the theater itself is very nice. Staff there are very helpful and we have been to many shows there. Would recommend to any and all. Just pick out your favourite show and get tickets and go. Well worth the time and effort.
Syracuse Stage is probably is the best kept secret of Central NY. The theater is intimate. There isnt a bad seat in the house. The staff is wonderful. They are helpful, respectful, and very enthusiastic about the shows AND THEIR JOBS. I have been attending the Stage since 1990, most seasons buying season tickets. I dont think there has been one show that I can say something bad about. I can name some that were outstanding!! But that would take up too much time and space. If you have not taken advantage of this first class professional theater, you are being foolish. Take advantage of what is enlightening, entertaining, and reasonably priced.
Located conveniently near a few restaurants and parking options, Syracuse Stage can host a number of wonderful evenings out with that special someone you love spending time with. This venue has performances year-round, making it a prime location for theatre-lovers. Before heading into a show, you may choose to grab a few drinks at the full-service bar. And if youre still in the middle of one when the doors open, you may also take your drink in by using one of their lidded cups!If this review was helpful, please consider a thumbs up. It would be greatly appreciated!
Just love to see plays there. I saw Pride and Prejudice and it was excellent. Remember, if you cant find street parking, the large parking complex across the street is your best bet. Take your parking ticket to the Stage Box office where they will give you a voucher for a discount. $5 for your entire time. During intermission you can purchase a hard or soft drink but remember it needs to be gone before you re enter the theater. My recommendation is to share a drink. Ladies, the line in the bathroom looks scary but it moves quickly. Those are my tips, enjoy your show!
Excellent venue. Not a bad seat in the house.
We always enjoy the great shows that are offered and try to catch as many shows here as we can. With the seating area there is not a bad seat in the house. The performers make you feel like you a part of the show.
The place is small and the picture on the website makes it seem like the stage is further away from the front row then it is. We thought we got great seats but we were so close it was hard to see some of the show. The place however was really nice and the play we saw (Elf the musical) was fantastic!! I would recommend this place but dont sit in the first two or three rows.
Saw beauty and the beast here. Great cast great voices especially bell and the beast.
Always great performances with a wonderful, intimate venue. Staff is very friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate our group with my mom who has difficulty walking, they let us take our seats early. Their holiday shows have been spectacular.
We saw Pride and Prejudice with a lecture beforehand. Informative lecture helped me focus differently during the production. I enjoy the lectures/ cocktail hours. Adds an extra to the performances.Cute idea to have a Bennett cocktail.
Great performance, ambiance and lighting. Tip: Have a drink in the expansive lobby before showtime or during intermission.Important: Sound system is mediocre. Try to avoid the balcony and instead opt for orchestra center seats only.
The shows in the larger theater are always good.
The talent and theater experience in CNY is outstanding....Syracuse Stage should be proud of the wonderful venue they present
Great theater without a bad seat in the houde
We attended the Sunday evening performance of Noises Off and were impressed by the amazing talent on the stage, as well as the fabulous set. It was a lively show, and we stayed for the talk back with the cast and director. It was fabulous. What a great night. Thank you!!
The play was awesome. They had parking available for $6. They have drinks available for purchase. You could use cash or credit. If youre a plus size person the seats are a little snug but still comfortable. Get to the womens restroom quick or youll be waiting awhile haha. Other than that, great experience! I will definitely come again next year!
I enjoyed the play, Thoughts of A Colored Man. Realistic and thought provoking.
Love this play house! They bring big classic hits like A Raisin in The Sun and smaller productions like The Missionary. I love the variety of plays they offer and the packages are a great option to look into.
I saw Pride and Prejudice, and being honest it was the best play I have ever seen! The actors were amazing, the theater is clean and modern, and the staff is so kind! I wish I could experience the whole thing again!
It is so amazing to have such a wonderful, community engaged theater in the Syracuse area. The production quality of the shows is top notch and comparable to those in much larger cities. We are fortunate in Central New York, to be able to enjoy the hard work of both our community members and SU students.
Thoughts of a Colored Man was extraordinary and should head straight to Broadway.
Such a great venue for the performing arts!
We went to see the Drag Battle. Loved the whole show! Staff were very courteous and helpful.
We recently saw Possessing Harriet in this great facility. Having attended shows previously and having been seated in different locations throughout the auditorium, I can assure you (although some seats are better) there are no bad seats in the house.
Every seat has a great view of the stage.
Excellent production! Comfortable seating, wheelchair accessible, and professional staff. Beverages and food available. It was a great experience to meet some of the cast from Elf!
The shows are spectacular! I have been to most of the performances this season and last season. So great. We are lucky to have this amazing venue for live theater here in Syracuse!
Saw Beauty and the Beast, very enjoyable
Beauty and the Beast is a must see!
Everytime I swear show here Im always impressed, there isnt a bad seat in the house and they always kill the performance.
Great small theater with a variety of shows each year. Really not a bad seat in the house.
This play is very entertaining. The slap stick comedy definitely reves up in the second and third acts and the audience was laughing the entire time. It was amazing to watch the cast execute this comedy. Loved it!!!
Loved the preformative there.Mary Poppins the costumes and tap dancing were breathtaking.
You will find some difficult parking since this is such a popular place. The Syracuse Stage has always performed fantastic pieces for all ages and audiences.
One of the best classic adaptations ever! Such fun! Fantastic acting, writing, staging!
The play was amazing, 12 Angry Men! Our seats were in the balcony, so we could see everything.
Saw a wonderful show, like many before it. Always makes for a great night of entertainment.
Syracuse stage is fabulous! Even when you see a show that makes you think a lot about the content, the performance is of excellent quality! A superb evening out.
Lovely productions generally well-liked by the general public.
Its a nice place to go see a play and some stage areas are old
Love this place and the amazing performances they offer to the people of the Syracuse area. Top notch theater!
Great place to see a show. Small intimate theater.
The play was well written and the costumes and scenery really supported the plots storyline/theme. Storyline Made some of us cry and laugh at times too
My son did Shakespeare twice. Beautiful theater.
Wonderful theater, not a bad seat in the place. Always well done, interesting, thought provoking plays. Highly recommend going.
Went to see Noises Off for last performance Sunday matinee. Great set, dialogue, acting and costumes. Play was laugh out loud funny..I have never been to a bad show at this venue. Looking forward to Possessing Harriet!
Nice little theater! The venue is wonderful. The production of Elf was hilarious!
Best local theatre of anywhere Ive lived. Closest to off Broadway you will ever find. Stage design is always amazing as well as the caliber of acting.
One of many great live arts venues in Syracuse, its small enough where you always have a great seat but not so small that the production value suffers. Every show there has been a hit within our group.
A great venue for great theater
Had a great time and enjoyed the performance. Never been to a show here.
The play was good, even better with our Framily faves
Great variety of quality plays with acting that draws you in. Good for all ages and has several types of experiences including dinner and show, meet and chat with cast, etc. . Reasonably priced with good options for multiple show flex ticketing. Comparable to NYC Broadway right in our local area.
Great performances, great plays!
The play Native Gardens is very thought provoking and enjoyable, not mention funny
Great place to hear compelling stories
Syracuse Stage is a great local theater. I have been to many plays there and recommend it to everyone.
The plan as y was very good. I love Syracuse stage. I wish they had more plays during the year. I plan to subscribe for a membership
Possessing Harriet was such a good play, only an hour and a half but very captivating. Really enjoyed the play
Absolutely wonderful place to go and see a show! Tonights was one of the most hilarious shows I have ever seen... An absolute must-see!
Nice building, comfortable seating, $6 parking across the street, and nice lavatories. Show ws excellent.
Beauty and the Beast was fabulous!
Its a good place to see a play take a date with you or your wife I had an awesome time
Play was great. Seats too ! Odd about the break however, they offer a pre order drink option but even with that, it is hard to drink it before the play starts again. If you are in line for a drink, there is no way you are ordering and drinking in that short amount of time. Not sure what my recommendation would be, but something should change. Many upset people.
Have season subscription past two years. Love going.
I had a great experience in watching a play there. Seats and the accoustics is great. The magic play was different but has a great message.
There were at least 2 theaters here, on the smaller side, but well kept, clean and comfortable seating areas. Sound system was very good. Nice location with a few restaurants close by.
Great regional theater!
Lots of fun! Easy street parking.
Wonderful as usual.
Always classy. Great entertaient
Beautifully crafted stage and props added to a wonderfully executed performance
Beautiful facility. Excellent play.
Saw elf the musical...it was great, seats were great...had a blast
Outstanding performance...so many lines, so much quick action....nailed perfectly! Staff was great!
I enjoyed the play last night.
Excellent place offering a vast selection of shows and live performances can be a little pricey but worth a shot once in a lifetime experience
Great time at the Syracuse Stage, and the production of Noises Up. Highly recommended for everyone to go see a well done play.
Diverse
Great place to see performances.

Fantastic in every dimension.
Im a season ticket holder and aways love the productions. Ive never seen a bad show here!
Good theater. All seats have a good view.
