Highly recommend! We watched Much Ado About Nothing and it was absolutely fabulous. Lots of laughs and brilliant acting. The amphitheater in Thornden Park is a gorgeous setting and truly perfect for a production of Shakespeare. We sat at the back-center of the amphitheater and had no trouble hearing or seeing the play. We took our own snacks and a blanket to sit on, and we were perfectly comfortable. Social-distancing measures were carefully observed and abided by.

For a delightful few hours in a shady and gorgeous outdoor amphitheater, watching a lively troupe of dancers and actors explore Shakespeares imaginative story-telling, you cant do better than this. And free yet! There are still a few problems with the amplifiers especially from the upper audience right, and actors skills and parsing and projecting vary, but the joy of the total experience carries the day. Ronald Bells devotion as director, house manager and even ice cream seller deserve celebration and gratitude from the community.

We had such a good time seeing Much Ado About Nothing! Wonderful performances and such a beautiful venue. It was so nice to see a live show despite Covid. So happy they were able to perform and that they took the necessary safety precautions. Awesome show!

I was very impressed with the attention to safe health measures regarding the coronavirus- designated entrances for reservations and walk-ins, singular exit for patrons, 6ft spaces marked on grass. Actors/actresses gave an enjoyable performance. It was wonderful to be able to attend one of my favorite Summer events in the midst of these troubled times!

My wife Kelly and I have enjoyed performances by SSITP at Thornden Park many times over the past decade or more but we found this years show more special than usual. For us it was the celebration of Live Theater Amidst a Pandemic;--need I say more? Thank you Ron Bell and for all who participated in bringing joy to the people of Syracuse through the shared experience of Shakespeare performed.

It was fun to watch these actors so comfortable in their Shakespearean rolls, especially under streaming conditions. The actors and story line get 5 stars, the production was a bit too long. Perhaps headsets would create better clarity? Bravo for bringing us an enchanting evening!

We enjoyed it very much. The acting was outstanding and the sound system and costumes good as well. You did an excellent job with the COVID safety measures and social distancing.

My wife and I attended the August 9th performance. It was our first time attending an SSITP event - and it was wonderful! The venue is beautiful, the audio was clear and easily heard, themed music played throughout and the cast was excellent! Most especially we loved having the summary of each scene in the playbill - made it so very easy to follow. We most definitely would recommend this and plan to go to other events!

Amazing experience. Specially loved the lead actress!! It was a bit hard to hear, improved sound system would make this even better.

The acting was terrific with the story line moving right along! And very much enjoyed the guitar, which also helped set the time period wonderfully. Unfortunately connection issues on my end would loose the video occasionally.

Enjoyed Loves Labours Lost. my first experience of a Zoom Shakespeare. It really worked! Everyone using a similar backdrop and coming in and out of the scenes, it was easy to follow and huge credit to the actors who really managed to convey their characters and their interactions and so make it come alive. The Bard would have been proud.

Loves Labors Lost, a fun play to watch, and seeing it on ZOOM a unique experience ! When I see a play In the Park I get to experience the rest of the audience in a special way...experiencing it ON ZOOM gave me an up close and personal way to see each actors performance. They do a great job- worth seeing !

Just a wonderful setting to have this show. A true Shakespeare experience with great acting

Recently saw their online production of Loves Labours Lost. A delightful virtual experience, and well done by quality actors. They thought of many details that made the show enjoyable, including ambiance, live music, consistent backgrounds in the actors zoom screens, a park background, great costumes, and appropro entrances and exits.The actors were hilarious and I have nothing but good things to say. My one suggestion would be to have more pre-production photos of folks in full costume, kind of like a character introduction. Gives the audience more context and the costumes deserve visibility and credit. But it didnt affect show quality at all. The show was fun, entertaining, and delivery of witty lines was on par with true understanding of the language that is Shakespeare.

So good to safely see live theater! Good performances and enjoyable dance into by the Syracuse Ballet!

We have thoroughly enjoyed the plays at Thornden Park Amphitheater. The acting is strong, and it is a wonderful feeling to see a Shakespeare play while sitting outside.

Syracuse Shakespeare-inthe-Park is always a fun, entertaining and enriching experience. Highly recommended! We attend every summer!
