A great place to come with a group or just by yourself to blow off some steam. The staff is friendly, welcoming, helpful. Stephen especially, hes an expert and gives great advice.

This place was awesome. If you can survive the five flights of stairs then you will love it when you make it to the top. The instructors are really helpful and down to earth. Ben was the man. He really helped us on our form. Important side note here--this place is BYOB, so bring a six pack and let the good times roll.

Such a fun night! Ben was great he gave us clear instructions and advice for improving. went with a group of 12 women, split into two teams and did the axe throwing tournament style. (Even though it did the worst it was still a blast.) All of the employees were really nice and seemed to actually enjoy being at work. Definitely got our exercise in 1. With the throwing 2. Its up 5 flight of stairs and no elevator!Bonus the music selection was on pointDefinitely looking forward to going again!

Idk her name but she was great. We started with archery but the axe throwing is way better. Didnt get to try the knives but I would love to go back and try it sometime. I like that you can bring your own alcohol. Not that we had much time to drink because we were so busy.

Great location! Great time! My friend and I were a Walk-In on a Saturday. It was our first time and we had a coach for the entire hour. This was a great time and the location is great. Really adds to the experience. Its located on the 5th floor of an old warehouse in Syracuse.

I visited Far Shot with a group of 8 for a birthday party, and we had a blast! Loved the balance of training and practice followed by actual competitive games with points and friendly face-offs. We did both the archery and the axe-throwing, and it was great. Only downside is an hour and a half didnt seem like enough time to try and squeeze in both activities. If youre doing a party Id recommend picking one or the other, because the more time you have with one, the better you get at it.

Been going to Farshot for over a year. Lots of fun and cant wait to get back there after the shutdown.

Amazing staff and lots of options. They have many different axes to throw, shuriken, knives, and even archery! Special props to the staff member with the neon yellow highlights in his hair. He was very helpful, friendly, funny, and patient.

Amazing friendly staff good prices for groups and couples for a great night of fun they dont sell alcohol there but you can bring your own which is cool. We went axe throwing as group and we had a great time and they helped me as much as they could and I ended up starting to get it.

I went here with my friend because we took a day trip to Syracuse. I will say it was well worth it. Drew our trainer with the awesome mohawk was super informative and helpful in teaching us how to throw the axes and knifes. If your looking for something different and out of the ordinary give this place a shot! They have a drink and snack machine incase you forget your own. And they environment is very chill which makes you feel much more comfortable. Trust me its worth it to just go out of your comfort zone sometimes. Thank you for the experience Far Shot Crew!

Came out with a group of 5 people for my husbands 30th for axe throwing. Drew was an awesome instructor... great cues and helpful tips. We live an hour away but will def be making the trip back out ! SO FUN

Great place to get a bachelor party going. Not just anyplace lets you throw axes and be obnoxious. Steve was really cool, too. Not the easiest place to find at night, though. Google maps brings you to the front of the building, but you have to park in the back and find the right door to go it. Hint: its the one on the middle.

This place is great! My wife and I went to the open house and tried ax and knife throwing as well as archery. Far-shot provided safety minded instructors for each discipline to show us the basics. Its easy to find and theres plenty of parking. I cant wait to go again!

Came in for a walk-in and the counter help was extremely rude. He seemed to have disdain for the fact that we didn’t make a reservation, even though a phone call made a day prior told me that a reservation wasn’t necessary. I was also told that I could not use my own equipment and would therefore have to pay the 10 dollar rental fee, even though I was ALSO told on the phone that I could use my own. Needless to say we were disappointed and we left. Seems like a very disorganized and unprofessional operation in a sketchy building.

Awesome place! Had the chance to attend the open house with my wife and had a great time. Couldn’t leave without signing up for the axe league in April. Can’t wait!

I went to both open houses and Anna is great at teaching you to throw an axe! I’ve done archery before but not axe or knife throwing. The experience is awesome!

It would be 4.5 stars really. It should be a bar also. The guy teaching us seemed to know his stuff but the elevator was out of order and its on the 5th floor. Not usually a big deal, but if you have any medical issues that make stair climbing difficult, then wait until june/July and confirm the Elevator is operating before you go.

I thought about going out to the farm show at the fairgrounds, but the show closed at 4 in the afternoon. At heart, I am a carnie and I have loved every time I have tabled at a trade show. I decided to make an evening of the near West side of Syracuse and set out walking for a five story warehouse on Fayette Street. I was looking for the newly opened Far Shot Syracuse studio, a studio where one could throw axes and knives. Newly opened, fourteen bays await for throwing axes safely and four for the tossing of knives. The long gallery of windows commanded a remarkable view of northern Syracuse, all the way to Lake Onondaga and beyond to Liverpool. Just below, I noticed the sculptures in Lipe Art park emerging from the snow in the strip of grassland along the railroad tracks. A crew of friends happily sipped their PBR tall boys and took turns throwing whirling axes into wooden targets. The wooden targets probably need a weekly refresh because piles of kindling accumulated on the floor, like peanut shells at a biergarten. I bought a soda and watched and planned a walk even farther west.

An absolutely amazing time, ask for Drew hes a great teacher!
