Super loud. Lots of unhelpful employees walking around. Cool looking giant retro games though.This was our first time here. My wife and I stopped in to just check it out before going with others. I found one interesting 3d game you play against others, some sort of battle game (towards the front). It had a payment hardware kiosk saying it took so many credits. Ok, so how much is a credit? I then went to a kiosk where you buy cards for the games. Even there, nowhere does it tell you how many credits you get for any chosen dollar amount!On the way out I was going to ask an employee about it, but they were all hooping it up for a customer who won $500 somehow. The employees were more interested in helping someone who was taking their money than a potentially paying customer. Probably wont be coming back.

The online schedule said that they were closed on monday and tuesday i went wednesday and the schedule changed to closed everyday besides the weekend and nobody ever answers the phone

Arcade, High Ropes Course. Kids had a blast. The 12 year old said best day ever. Great family fun. It will cost a little, but not too bad. High ropes course $12 a person. Arcade is a little more than usual

My kids and I made a trip to Apex in the Destiny mall today and I must say that it was beyond wonderful. Every staff member went above and beyond to make sure that the kids and I had a blast!! They saved us money.. and pretty much walked us through everything being that it was our first time there. The food was great and not too awfully bad priced. It was just an overall amazing experience and we will DEFINITELY go back! The gentlemen who cashed out our tickets even let my daughter get a stuffed animal that was a little over what she had because he seen how much she wanted it. I will be suggesting this place to anyone and everyone I know. Thanks APEX for an outstanding family night!

Fun games. Kids love it. Bowling fun. Bar is always understaffed. It seems every employee is constantly rushed. Don’t expect fast service. Food menu could be a lot better then microwave pizza.

Went there to bowl with a buddy last week and had a very poor experience. Im not a professional bowler by any means, but I bowl frequently enough to know good from bad lanes. These are BAD lanes. It is very evident that they do not care for them nearly as well as they should, which kind of makes sense because this is not a bowling alley... this is a giant entertainment complex in a mall where bowling is just one of about 14 things this place offers.On top of the extremely poor conditions of the lanes, the service was bad. We waited 5 minutes standing at the bowling counter to even be acknowledged, much less assisted. And when we finally were, the woman who helped us acted like it was the first day she had worked there despite clearly having some tenure. Another worker had to come over and help her finish the transaction because she didnt know what she was doing and when he did, she just walked away from the counter completely with an attitude of like not my problem any more and I dont care how to learn to do this correctly.It really felt like a situation where the parents were away on vacation and they left their inept teenage kids in charge of the whole operation.Oh and it costs $30 an hour to bowl here! Hands down the most expensive place to bowl in Syracuse. Unless you have like 10 people splitting the cost and sharing one lane, its not worth it and even then, youd get one game in per hour so you mind as well go somewhere else where they take better care of their lanes and have people in charge who are qualified to run something other than a lemonade stand on the side of the road.

No doubt, there are many activities to keep you entertained. Be forewarned, APEX is is not for those on a budget. An hour of bowling, one shoe rental, two drinks each, an appetizer platter, and a few games in the arcade was over $200. This is something we’ll indulge once every few months, but at these prices, I don’t see value. There are a variety of other establishments in town where you can have great bowling and food, or great arcade games, or laser tag. The only benefit to this establishment is being able to enjoy a wide variety of entertainments in one place. I’m happy to report that the service was top notch. The food was average if not slightly above. The layout and atmosphere were well designed. I can’t understand why they seem to have a surprising surplus of employees on the floor with little to do, but I’m sure they’re working out the kinks as they figure out how many employees they need based on the crowd they have. Hopefully the prices will come down to reasonable rates. If not, I fear their fate will be the same as their predecessor in this space.

The service here is tremendously slow. Don’t even try to get a drink at the bar. The atmosphere is decent, though it’s too loud to hold a conversation. I would recommend coming on a weekday

Lazer tag, bowling, bumper cars and an arcade! All at 1 place with pretty fair prices. Absolutely loved it! My friends have gone here twice in the last few weeks and both times we got the lazer tag arena to ourselves! It is so much fun!

Place is cool. Food prices arent to bad considering that kind of establishment. Games are a little pricey

Loved bowling & having drinks at this place. We paid around $50 an hour for bowling (pays for lane and two pair of shoes). Surprisingly clean for all the kids running around. Much prefer this place to Dave and Busters.

My family and I came in was greeted at the front desk where to eat. We sat looked at the menu and took about 5 mins to decide and waited for 25 minutes before we left disappointed because no one came to take our order and it was our sons birthday

My family and I came and had great time. Food and service was on point as well. My kids havent stop talking about Apex. We will be back again soon for sure.

Fantastic atmosphere for family fun and corporate outings. Lots of activities to do such as bowling, video games, laser tag, and Virtual reality games. Good food and good customer service. Being in such a central location makes it nice to meet up with friends from across Syracuse. Lots of fun was had by our group.

We did Lazar tag and ate. Lazer tag was a blast! Took our 4 kids 7-12 years old and our 6 year old niece. The food was delicious. We had pizza, salad, and the 3 appetizer platter. Fun for the whole family!

Really great place to spend the day with your friends or family. Very kid friendly but also has a bar to keep the adult busy. If youre at the destiny USA mall I highly recommend giving this place a look.

Place was nice, good music and atmosphere. Much better than revolutions that used to be there. Grilled cheese was not great, same with the other food my group got. Also the bowling (and other activities) is a bit expensive.

Good entertainment but lack hospitality, been there twice and server took almost 30 minutes to take the order and then never show up to check again.

My family came in to celebrate my daughters birthday. We were the only table in sitting and no one was at the bar, it still took someone 15 minutes to acknowledge us. Food was okay, but our server never asked if we wanted refills or if we needed anything else. She kept standing at the bar, which was empty. The experience was horrible. Worst customer service Ive had ever.

Horrible customer service. We sat down to eat and were not acknowledged by any staff. I went to bar to get drinks we ordered after I asked bar staff to take order. No staff came back to ask if we needed more drinks. We waited an hr and no food so i paid for drinks and went to dave and busters.

My friend and I have been waiting for this Apex to open for over a year. We finally made plans to go this past weekend which became a disaster real quick. When inquiring on how many credits to get we went to booth employee was helping until he sent us to another booth to get assistance since guests were in line. This happened at three more booths. Employees sadly were feeling pressure and a lack of training was present. Hologate and other vr didnt work correctly and just terrible experience altogether that could have been fixed if management did something or helped out the staff. I vaguely remember seeing a lazy manager from the previous entertainment center that was there before entering. Apex in Boston is high end but this one needs some work to redeem itself.

A bit pricey but worth it. My son and his friends had a great time. Will come back but unfortunately because of price would not be as often as we would like.

Bowling was fun. Just wish we had more than 2 lanes for a corporate get together. 12 people 6 on each lane only 1 hr. Only completed 1 game. Laser tag was awesome. 2 floors and lots of fun!!!

I would rate ZERO STARS if possible. This was my third time at APEX since they opened and will be my last. Came here with a group of six for a friends birthday. Every time I come here this place seems to get worse. Food is average at best and customer service has always been terrible, but tonight was absolutely unbelievable. Waited over 15 minutes at the bar WITH OUT EVEN BEING ACKNOWLEDGED! The bar wasnt event that busy, maybe every other seat was filled, Maybe. At one point another customer came up to me and said Are you getting any service on this side of the bar? To which I replied No, and the other customer said Same on the other side. There were three bartenders (using the term bartenders very loosely) and two were on the register the entire time I was waiting and the only bartender doing any work at all was Deb, even though she walked by me about 10 times, and I watched her make 2 drinks in the 15 minutes I was waiting. Even on the very limited drink menu, not a single drink had prices listed. Do they honestly expect customers to buy drinks without knowing the price? Ridiculous. Another employee also got into a dispute with another customer sitting next to me at the bar. The employee was a food server and I had never met the other customer but both customer and employee were raising their voices to each other in front of customers and things were getting pretty tense. I dont know the details about that other customers confrontation but it should be the employees responsibity to handle things calmly and professionally to diminish the situation, not escalate it. After 15 minutes I gave up at the bar and attempted to play the duck hunt game in the side room across from the bar, and the guns werent working, an employee was called over but was unable to fix the game. So we tried the arcade. Extremely expensive for the very limited amount of games available. While playing the games an empty beer bottle was found laying on the ground next to one of the arcade games. Clearly the staff neglects cleanliness. Played laser tag before we left and very expensive for what it is, after we purchased laser tag the employee at the register disappeared, we waited about 15 minutes before the employee showed back up and despite making us wait she was friendly, their was no current game of laser tag currently going on, so Im not sure why we waited so long to go in. She even acknowledged that we waited ling and told us that we would he given a free game of laser tag to make up for the wait, which never happened. We were the last game for the night and never got a second game or a voucher for a free game. Apparently the employees enjoy making customers wait, arguing with customers and lying. So done with APEX. Spent $50 between the arcade and laser tag with no food or drinks bought. The worst customer service I have ever experienced, expensive and filthy. I will not return and will be sharing my experience with friends, family and coworkers. Take my advice and spend your money at Dave and busters. Same level in the mall with way more to do, better prizes in the gift shop, way better drink selection (with prices), you get a drink in under 15 minutes and their employees dont treat you like garbage.

Come here for bowling, not for great service. I have never waited longer to simply place an order. I felt ignored as a customer. Then when I was finally ordering, I had to place 3 different orders because they claim to have all these gluten free options, but they don’t have gluten free alternatives, it’s just bunless or breadless options. I’m not one to ever complain, but I was not pleased with my service

Great venue, tons of fun games and activities. As stated in the other reviews, it is expensive ($1.50-$3.00 per game), but you’re already aware of that coming to any indoor family entertainment venue. Apex is top notch, they literally have everything and many games I’ve never even seen before! Connect4 basketball, two story laser tag, VR roller coasters, this is the best option for entertainment in the mall. Joseph, was a super helpful guide through the venue, and seemed to be everywhere when we had a question, great job! We will definitely be back, as often as we can afford.

Horrible service at the bar. I waited forever for a drink and food. Not for the order to be made but for them to even acknowledge that we were there at the bar. Our bartender had an attitude the whole time. I have never left a negative review anywhere before so consider yourself warned.

Apex was a fun place to hangout at and had plenty of activities to keep kids & adults occupied for hours on end. Me, my gf and our twin daughters had a great time there and can’t wait to go back.

Fun place. Similar to Dave and Busters although if you have a VIP card the cost for games is less. The VR X-Rider is over priced ($8) in my opinion for a 2 minute virtual roller coaster. Bumper cars are $5 a round which is similar to other places. You can buy a bundle of 3 activities for $18 which we ended up doing. Like most arcades be aware when you win points and make sure they are being added to your card. There are no paper tickets so everything is added to your card. My daughter won 575 points and they werent added to the card. The staff was great and remedied the situation but just be mindful. My kids were fustrated when they grabbed a giant ball on the claw machine (3 times) and it dropped right at the end because the claw was shaking and jarring so hard. Anyway, we had a good time and its good to see another place other than Dave and Busters.

Ok had fun server took happy hour menu away because happy hour over. I would have liked to look at happy hour menu for next visit. I will be back with family soon

Pros: It was a nice place to take children and grand children especially in NYs weather. Having anything to entertain the children indoors is a plus. Cons:Their service was very selective I feel. It took about 15 minutes before someone came to wait on me. There were many of them passing by my table waiting on others and some just fascinated with the bowlers yet I was very obvious. My daughter actually had to go find someone. And when I ordered, my desserts came before my water and I was very thirsty. Other than that its a nice place for kids and adults alike to hang out. The desserts were not bad.

Awesome place to hang out and have fun, whether youre a child or adult or an adult child. Tons of variety, food even alcoholic beverages if you are so inclined. Good place for team building and parties as well

Massive complex. Not as many arcade type of games as Dave and Busters but better pay out on tickets, prizes are better as well. My daughter preferred playing games here than Dave and Busters. Next we are in Syracuse, well be back.

My daughter wanted her 12th birthday party here, we had never been before. We opted for a package with an hour of gaming for all 10 kids and then pizza and drinks in a party room, all we had to bring was the cake. We had a party cooridinator assigned to us who was very attentive, checking in frequently. Overall a very nice place to have a kids party. They also have a full size bowling alley, lazer tag and bumper cars along with a huge bar and more tvs than you can shake a stick at.

Slow service & really bad food. Everyone around us was complaining: the nachos, the cheesesteak, and the chicken quesadilla were inedible. No offer to take the items off the bill, just a remake for it. Kinda shocking.

Fun time @ Apex for softball tourney activities. Buffett was just fair but the games were fun.

Took a walk through and everything was really expensive. Great place to go to get some exercise. Brand new equipment in here.

Smash tournament was quite packed. But was very fun. Games seem overpriced, but the $20 free game credits for first time attendants was a nice bonus.

The place is great but you swing through everything pretty quickly. And the arcade is pretty disappointing, its half the size of Dave and busters.

Very nice arcade and activities, especially for kids and teenagers. However, we specifically came here to bowl. And the bowling is absolutely terrible. The lanes are not genuine hardwood. Theyre laminate. So for someone who bowls competitively like myself, I couldnt even use my own ball or throw how I normally do. Which really pisses me off because I was looking forward to it, and secondly because you have to rent the lanes for $40 per hour. We didnt even finish one full game it was so bad. The bowling balls dont roll down the lanes, they slide because the lanes are so slick. Very disappointing

The staff member at lazer tag did an excellent job, made the experience fun for a bunch of kids and adults alike ( younger guy with a mohawk) The bartender was friendly and apologetic for the wait ( shorter guy) but everything was a wait, lazer tag started ten minutes after scheduled time ( with a bunch of kids to keep in line) had to leave and come back to the bar twice and still waited an actual 15 minutes for a drink order to be placed and a card to be returned. In the arcade, small problem with a machine fritzing out, flag down an employee... he says hell be back, never returns. Get a lane for an hour, order food from the bar ( faster service) this time. Ended up having to grab my own food off the bar. Nachos were filled with unmelted cheese in the center, so the one place they could have took their time, they didnt.Waiting to cash in tickets for kids... no one at counter for a good 5-8 minutes.So, the short version is, the staff seem great, friendly and responsive, but not enough of them around to be where they are supposed to be.I would still come back, facility was clean and has lots of great stuff. Just will make sure to grab a meal and a drink before coming in and schedule a little longer to be there than i originally assumed.

My boyfriend, brother and I went to the entertainment centre today on a Wednesday, weren’t sure quite how it worked and the front desk worker was very friendly and informative we all got cards and played the arcade games and my bf and brother had an amazing time in the virtual reality challenges, after we left they went back for another game! We didn’t do the bumper cars, and the laser tag wasn’t open which was a little disappointing but we will be back to try it out when it opens! Another great attraction in the Syracuse mall. I wish they’d expand to our Arnot Mall in Horseheads NY!

New to the whole CNY area and I love this spot, Its a fun little hangout spot. I love that they had a whole event/ party thing for mall employees, that was awesome! Shows as a company they are pretty caring.Customer service- Just like anyplace its a hit or miss. Ive had some employees help me a lot and go over the top and Ive had some just shrug their shoulders & do the job, everyone has their days.Arcade games- I thought it was a very small picking at first. Then i started playing, and I found some games I love. & the willy wonka card collection coin game? My top fav! Gotta get the golden ticket!Bowling- Was a bit pricey, however there is different type of bowling games you can play. like five or six including the traditional style. On the plus side you get service right there at your game. Drinks and food will be delivered to you as you play your game.Havent done laser tag yet.Bumper cars- I feel like they should be bumper floats, it look like one of them black donut floater tubes that is turned to a bumper car. ha, no very big but was big fun!The visual realities are pretty cool, Ive never done one before so I have nothing to compare it to.Overall, its awesome. Ill be back. You should give it a try, if not, two. :)
