We had the opportunity to see the first full moon of the decade. It is a small space, but a very nice experience. The people from the South Florida Amateur Astronomers Association are super nice and eager to share their knowledge and their private telescopes. You have to be a bit patient because there is a line to use each telescope, but is not crazy time... It is part of the experience.

The volunteers are so friendly and informative! The telescopes they use are phenomenal. This is a great place to bring the whole family on Saturday nights after dark. Make sure you put on bug repelant. But it is an amazing experience to see and learn so much from these knowledgeable folks. We try to get out here as much as time permits and when skies are clear.

This is a phenomenal place to view the stars in an astronomy show it is located in the front of the park behind the office. Check the Markham Park website for times and dates however it normally taken place on Saturday evenings after dark. If youre in the area this is definitely a must visit.

Be impressed by sights like the moon’s craters or saturn’s rings! And learn a lot about the celestial bodies above us.

The folks who run the observatory are really nice and they are very knowledgeable, always a spectacular experience.

Saturday night star gazing with the South Florida Amateur Astronomers Association from sunset to midnight. What a cool place! Markham Park is South Floridas gem.

Great place. Beautiful. Make sure to cover your legs if you go in the summer because the mosquitos will be out! I brought someone here as a surprised and she loved it so fyi its a great date idea if you catch the sky at the good time.
