We really enjoy this park. Great to take the dog and kids for a walk. Nice calm water to practice paddling. See lots of people fishing. The playground is nice and well maintained. They are doing some upgrades currently. Cant wait to see it when its done. We usually visit the dog park when we are here but it was closed for upgrades.

I love this park! The cons are that there are zero shade trees along the path. Im sure there were many large trees before the city came in to build out the park and the walking trails could have been built around some amazing trees...but thats not what they did. Boooo!Theres about 3 miles of trails around a small lake. Along your walk, or jog, you will find a butterfly garden, a playground, a monument for the Army (it was so hot when we were walking that we didnt make it to the monument).

Great time! People practicing safe distancing with masks, beautiful sunset and also had several food trucks. One of the trucks had natural fruit shaved ice flavors, I had a black raspberry/strawberry kiwi and mango combination, my wife had coconut/mango combo and was a great desert to top of the day.

Great place to bring your dog or dogs and let them run and play with other dogs. The 2 areas are about 2 acreas in size. About 3/4 acres for smaller dogs and 1 1/4 for large breeds. Both areas have a picnic table and benches. Its a must ot you have a dog that loves to run.

This is a great place to walk, ride bikes, fish, and run. It has bike trails, dog park, large field, butterfly garden, playground, Veteran memorial, pavilion, and restrooms. We come here frequently to picnic, let the kids play, and watch the sunset. I hear theres a gator in the lake. I feel safe in this area even at night and it also has emergency call boxes all over the place.

This was a very nice park. It looked new and had nice facilities and a pond. The playground was very nice and it features a military memorial. We arrived late in the evening, so unfortunately it was dark not Lind after we arrived. I intend to return as I heard good things about the mountain bike trail.

Its a very nicely maintained park, and has separate areas for large dogs and small dogs. The large dog areahas a pool for them to play in. This makes sense since almost all dogs that are predisposed to swimming are large dogs. I think this is the reason the small dog area does not. However, both have agility courses and drinking stations for the dogs. The crowd is usually laid back without the standoffish behavior some park patrons treat new people/pets.

Recently came here twice for art class. Such a pretty, well-maintained, serene park along a busy street. The large pavilion, restrooms and childrens playground are all conveniently located next to the parking lot. The memorial honoring five branches of our military is on a tiny island on the end of the lake, connected by a short bridge. The walking path around the lake is, I think, one mile. The first time I came, saw butterflies, an egret and a quite untidy swan. Second time, last week, there was a pair of swans that took a swimming break before flying off!Such a peaceful park with joggers, people eating lunch in the pavilion and the occasional big bird sighting. Theres a posted alligator warning, but I didnt see any and thats fine by me!

The only reason I would go here is for the dog park. The dog park is really big and has separate sections for small and big dogs. There is a pool for dogs to swim in and seats for their owners to sit in. The paths here are not good because there is no shade and here in Texas you need the shade. The paths are also uncomfortable to walk on and are just circles. The parking lot is fairly big and I like the location. The bike trail is pretty good and there is a playground and picnic area.

So disappointed with the HOA forcing the people who built these biking trails. What used to be a trail for all skill levels has been decimated to being likened to watching a g-rated version of an adult movie. As diverse of a community as the Houston and greater surrounding metropolitan area you would think that the trails would be hospitable for riders of all skill levels... However it forces the people who spend countless hours working for free to make features that make people happy to have to tear down, rebuild, and dumb down existing features to support people who dont understand the sport of mountain biking.Tldr; if youre worried about people getting hurt, educate them on wearing protective gear and using common sense before making obviously dumb decisions.

We go here every time we visit the grandparents. The boys have a blast climbing the rope tower and rolling down the hill. The memorial is a stirring reminder honoring those local heroes who gave their all for our freedom. The walking path around the lake is a great workout. Recommend this for great family fun.

We play disc golf on Saturdays and the course is laid out in a thoughtful way. First and last baskets are both next to the parking. Open baskets are mowed about every other month I think which is not to bad, but the wooded baskets do need some work. Still quite easy to lose discs in the fairways so be sure to track them.
