The activities for the kids are very authentic and offer real-world experiences for young minds. My kids absolutely love the kid-sized but highly interactive play stations. They have a lot of staff members on hand to sanitize and clean the areas where children play so there is a very low exposure risk of getting sick from germs and what not. I have been going for 4 years now and they never disappoint me or my kids.

Very clean. Buying the tickets were fast and painless.no drama but my kids are over this place about 45 min.

Great stop with the family! Its a newer center behind the old town sugar building, and I see they have plans to build up this area to make it a large entertainment complex. So lots of potential in the future. The museum is lovely, and while its on the smaller side... It packs a lot of experience and interaction for the kids. Really clean, informative, and staff is friendly. Will definitely stop by again when we are in the area!

A visiting little one loved it, especially Mexico! We were there over half an hour as he puttered around serving meals, making zapatos (paper sandals), sweeping the floor and complaining that strangers kept coming into his house. After lunch, we came back and he explored more areas. A favorite was the Fort Bend Herald. He rode the bike, strapped on the mail satchel and delivered rolled up newspapers to many of the different areas. Cant believe we spent five hours there!

We had a great morning here! I have a 5 month old and a 2.5 year old and they both enjoyed it thoroughly. We were in the toddler room for at least 1.5 hrs. They have you take your shoes off at the door and hand you a mesh bag to deposit toys your child has put in their mouth into before you leave. Three times a day they sanitize the entire room (literal wiping down every surface) as well as switch out the toys for new, clean ones. The rest of the center is a great mix of educational and fun playtime. I will definitely consider purchasing a membership here!

We love this place. We got a membership for Christmas and have been 3 times in the last month. Weve got a 3.5 year old and a 1 year old and they both have a BLAST. They just like playing and fiddling, but the educational bits are actually beneficial to me and teach me a lot so older kids can really benefit too. It can get a bit crowded with field trips but really there is enough room for everyone. We went to the members only day (first Friday of the month) and that was the best. Weve been 3 times and there are still some things we havent done so we have more to explore! Even if you have done it all, its so fun to do it again. They have a pretend HEB grocery store in there which is my favorite!!

Its a kids world. Children get to explore at their level some adult real world experiences. My 4 year old granddaughter loved the grocery store, the veterinary clinic, the kitchen and the farm. You could spend several hours here and not run out of things to do. The day we went was a princess event and the girls dressed up as princesses. Its about $12 per person and free parking.

The staff does a pretty good job keeping the place clean and organized. The attention to detail in each room allows children of all ages to engage in real life play. Each room is unique. My favorite was the grocery store. Worth the trip. I just wish it was not so $$$. #rainyday #learn #accessible

We had a membership two years ago, this year we rebought it. I was pleased to see that the exhibition at the front was completely revamped - now it is West Africa instead of Mexico. Great to see that the museum (despite its cozy size) is ALWAYS changing but stays as exciting as it was two years ago! Also, we had a birthday party there for our four y.o. - a director and all host ladies were excellent! Now my kids are 6 and 8.5 y.o. - still fun!

I prefer to take my kids here rather than chuck e cheese or trampoline parks because they get to explore and learn how things work. We love this place! Sometimes the volunteers/employees do start to put things away or clean while the kids are still using it, which makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. For example, if they have markers, glue, and scissors infront of them while doing crafts, the volunteers would come put these things in the bin. I get that they have to keep it tidy and I always make my kids put away their items when they are done making something but its crafts... give them time to just finish atleast! Other than that, it is definitely always a fun outing for us.

I just took my son (2yrs old) today for the first time. He had a blast! We received a membership for Christmas and plan on using it often! We have gone to the larger Houston Childrens Museum and while they have a lot more to do, more climbing, a cafe and things for older kids. It was always too crowded and kids will run you over. The Fort Bend location is much easier for me to keep track of my son and he had a blast. He wasnt overwhelmed by the other kids either. The ABC vet clinic was his favorite spot and overall we spent about 2 hours here. He was not very happy to leave. The regular priced admission is a little steep, so if you plan on going often, just buy the family pass. They are still building more on it and i cant wait for this to be completed. Clean, educational fun for younger kids when its raining or you just need to run them out of energy.

Definitely not worth the price, even with the Groupon. It was literally the same thing as Kidtropolis at the Childrens Museum downtown plus like 2-3 more exhibits not worth your money. I first visited the Discovery Center during the soft opening for members only. This location has been a long time coming and is a boon for the large young population in SW Houston suburbs. The indoor area is not as large as the downtown location but whats there is very high quality playrooms for children, e.g. restaurant, auto design lab, police lab, printing press, animal vets office, grocery store, and several hands-on arts and crafts activities (which change once in awhile) for kids to do. Overall Im very satisfied with this location because everything here is newer and cleaner and the size is not an issue for my family. When the outside play area is completed, I foresee this once iconic factory will be a new landmark for Sugar Land. I do hope they add water play areas like San Antonios Doseum.

Its important you know going in that this is not a childrens museum. I kept looking around for exhibits similar to the Childrens Museum in the museum district. Rather, this is a place for kids to spread their wings and pretend to be anything they want, from grocery clerk to veterinarian to mechanic, police office or banker. Its a tiny town where kids are in charge. And my kids LOVE IT!Learning is all around them, and its done in a way that the kids dont even realize it.If I had one suggestion, it would be to dial up the refreshment/concession offerings. Until then, run by your favorite coffee shop and grab yourself something before you get here.I enjoy watching my kids play, occasionally they will ask me to join their activities. More often there are enough kids and new friends are made. Then Dads incident involvement isnt welcome. Yet more skills being honed, friend-making and sharing.

I used to take my son here but I’d rather drive 20 minutes more to go to the downtown location. When you go on a slow day, the young staff in the food court and HEB areas are chatting so loud, talking about how much she hates about her school, and like to keep an eye on you and always ready to lecture you. There is no dining area inside but I see kids are eating on the bench all the time, if you have a 2 year old and you know they want to snack all the time, so I brought some sandwich with me, as soon as I pulled it out, the staff came and tell me he can’t eat a meal, but snack is okay. I don’t give my son any chips or cookies, and a sandwich to me pass as a snack, but she insists I can’t eat it. However on a busy day tons of moms are pulling out warm meals but nobody cares. She sticks around that I won’t feed my son, It feels unwelcoming and uncomfortable. I just left and I can feel her eye are on my back.
