Our wedding ceremony took place here almost 10 years ago so this temple holds a special place in my heart. A few years ago the main meditation center collapsed (luckily no one was hurt) so I was glad to know it was being renovated. It was the biggest Vietnamese temple in Houston; when the remodeling project is completed it will be even bigger and better. As such, on major Buddhist holidays and events, the place is packed. Parking can be tight but the organizers provide courtesy shuttle services from another lot to here. Leave your best shoes home on overcast or rainy days as the lot can be muddy.
Under construction now. This will be a great place to visit when its completed.
The best Vietnamese Temple.
Beautiful temple and can hold over 700. Grounds are still under construction and can be messy on rainey days. So far this is the nicest Buddhist temple. Highly recommended and a must see.
One of the Vietnamese temple thats my family use to go every weekend. Thousands of people come and go each week. Great atmosphere specially on the weekend. This temple have a school for Vietnamese kids to learn there language, history, culture, and the Vietnamese traditional. Also alot of good activity for kids and teenagers.
Beautiful place. Very peaceful. Hectic on Asian New Years. Everyone is very nice.
Good place for your meditation
Its one of the Houston attraction besides being a popular Buddhist temple. Enjoy the vegetarian food on Sunday.
It is a serene and peaceful place. Definitely a place to spend some quality time with yourself.
I love to celebrate New Year Year here the entire grounds are so beautiful and the dragon dancing is a must see
With an unpresuming entrance on a wide, sparely used road, this Buddhist temple offers a nostalgic reprieve from the business of suburban Houston, even if one is not necessarily Buddhist or religious at all.Inside, the temple grounds is impressively big, and many of the old buildings are being rebuilt/renovated to give it a fresh look. However, classic monuments like the impressively tall Ling Ung Pagoda can be seen from far way while driving. For those looking for a hidden gem in Houston, I highly recommend visiting Sunday afternoon, or morning (if youre not at church). The temple sells its own vegetarian food at a price cheaper than any vegetarian establishment Ive been to, even in Chinatown. Plus, the people and vendors there are very friendly and most can speak conversational level English, so there is no need to be intimidated.
Enjoy it, it is totally rebuilt. It is beautiful
Good place to meditation.relax
Beautiful peaceful place
Very tranquil
An amazing place. So much warmth and hospitality. Such a blessing to meet with the Master and all the nuns and monks.
The Viet Nam Temple is very great!!! The Buddha so wonderful in Houston Texas
The parking lot is way to tight. The road is full of holes. It is peaceful but it looks like the construction is slowly happening. The school buildings in the back look condemned and unsafe. It looks like a ghost town
Good place to worship still under construction of main building.
The host was extremely nice and very welcoming. Although they were doing renovations, we still got to see lots of the amazing place.
I Love my place,I Love my Buddha Religion.

The lion show ( Huyen Quang) is terrific on Feb 5, 2019.I really enjoy every moment.Wish you All leading an enlightening life
They are rebuilding yet very good pictures and awesome place to get back to basics.
Its beautiful!
If youre in the middle of a ceremony and cannot speak, then do not answer the phone just to hang upon me... rude!
Very peaceful place. Friendly people who leave you alone (even if youre not from their community like me) to meditate, self-reflect, ponder and wander around their amazing grounds.Been going here for the last 5 years. One of my fondest memories here - I was meditating by myself in their huge meditation hall, near their closing time (9:30 pm) on a humid summer evening. One of the resident monks who came for his prayers, turned on the ceiling fan for me, as he left the hall. Very mindful and welcoming of all practitioners and visitors.Great place to spend with family to enjoy quietness and stillness of nature. Generally not crowded on weekends.
This temple is very big with beautiful KuanYin & Buddha statues. Weekend activities & offer Buddha programs is excellent. Specially In Vietnamese Tet New Year celebration, must attend to experience it. It is great events.Uyen Phan
