This is not just an ordinary park, this is where you meet nature face to face in terms of wild life it offers. A lot of migratory birds pass through here either going north or south based on the season. This place offers few choices when it comes to trails and it does not disappoint in that regard. The main attraction is the observation tower overlooking the lake. Probably the best park of its kind in Sugar Land, Texas.

I have been to this park at least half a dozen times, and I absolutely love it. They have a great walking trail, but I prefer to just relax and enjoy the view from the lookout spot when I am in the area. You can even spot an alligator if youre lucky. Its a great place to see the sunset or admire the lily pads on the lake. I highly recommend checking it out, especially if you enjoy parks in general like I do.

If you love the outdoors, and ridiculously long trails with no indication of their end, then this park is for you. The shear size of the place is very much so a surprise. Especially since, if you go down the path leading to the lake (yes we saw small alligators, kids loved that) the amount of space is limited. The rest of the area consists of nature trails that start off well marked and end up leading to mostly unkempt paths. We havent walked every path, but we did take the path to the Cemetery and followed it beyond until we ended up on the opposite side of the parking lot that we started on. The whole walk took around 2 hours with stops for photos and having small children in tow. It was a pretty fun experience, the only complaint I have is a lack of markers and obvious lack of grounds keeping in the more obscure paths. Coming upon days old animal remains was pretty jarring. All in all though, a fun experience that could be improved upon with very little effort. Definitely a good place to get the family out of the house

I definitely enjoyed my time walking the trails here.A well maintained park with plenty of wide walking trails that are easy to navigate. There is also ample shade. The boardwalk gives you an amazing view of all the lily pads and several water birds. Make sure to bring a camera, you dont want to miss capturing this area.

Small parking lot, but it wasnt busy. Though I did come in the evening after a heavy storm.Plenty of grills but the space between the tables could be improved. The updated restroom is a nice touch. The bridge/pier is the main attraction here, and it doesnt disappoint. Personally, Im partial to the small winding road that leads into the park.

For family fun outdoors, or just for some fun Bird sightings. Cullinan, has a really nice mixture of walking trails/excellent for biking and off-road mountain bike, and picnics areas.Plenty of flora and fauna. The boardwalk area is not huge, but It’s nice and the 2nd floor tower offers a great peripheral view of the Everglades scenery. Get out there and have some fun with nature.

A very nice park with a variety of walking trails, fishing spots, and picnic areas. It has gotten rather busy in the evenings lately due to Covid, but is still a great place to visit. The best time to visit is during the day and during the week when it is less crowded. If you arrive after 6pm, be prepared to park on the street as the parking lot is small and fills up quickly.

Love the mountain bike trails here. Yes, some parts are extremely wooded, but you’re in Houston, so that comes with the territory. The trails inside the little forest are priceless. I do recommend that you don’t go after it has rained because it does get muddy. Other than that, ENJOY.

This is a local park with some beautifully wooded trails. We just visited the park Saturday April 18th during this quarantine deal to get out of the house and exercise. The trails were pretty dry but there were a few muddy spots though we don’t really mind that at all. We also noticed the benches and picnic areas throughout the park were blocked off with caution tape to keep the social distancing in effect (bummer) but hopefully this will all blow over soon.Anyways if you are having cabin fever and need to get out and stretch your legs, this is an awesome beginner to intermediate level ride with some really cool trainer trails within the main ones you see on the map.

It is a bit difficult to reach if you are going north on highway six and will have to do a u-turn. If you are heading south then you can just turn in. The parking lot is very small and the park could use some updating. Hopefully that will happen soon. Dogs are welcome. The water area is small and not really anything to do here other than fish. The walking or biking trails is okay. The paths are either dirt or sand so it’s easy on your butt or feet. Paths range in sizes. I get lost a bit when I walk here because the trails are not marked clearly.

Trail map is horrible, be cautious. Ended up on a 3.5 mile walk instead of 1.7. Colors on trail are wrong and some directions aren’t even marked. Our dogs were exhausted and so was I with being caught off as I’m disabled and the 1.7 was already going to be a stretch for me.

Really nice park with a good picnic area and lots of trails to explore with some cool hills and valleys for off-road fun.If your kids like airplanes you’ll be able to see and hear some at the very nearby SL airportSUGGESTION: please add more helpful signposts and direction arrows and / or more maps posted with “you are here” location at the major trail intersections. I’d taken a photo of the map before going on the trails with my kids so we were able to use that + Google Maps GPS to find our way back to the parking lot. Later on a solo run though a boy and his dad asked for some help as they were without a map and apparently in search of an exit for a while.

Adore this park. So many little paths to walk through, and all of it immensely beautiful. The waterways, the trees, the way the sun plays off it all. They have a watchtower that allows you to look out over the lake, which is amazing to see. Every now and again you can catch an alligator out there as well, which always makes my day even though Ive seen too many alligators in my life to count.I always come back here, and I always find something new that I havent seen before.Would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys nature but doesnt want to leave town to experience it.

The forests in the back are lush and full of sweet aromas—sometimes you’ll even find wild dewberries. Please protect this park and keep it clean as much as possible. I sometimes bring a grocery bag while I hike and never fail to fill it up with trash by the end. Do your small part and we can all enjoy this park trash/litter free.
