We had a wonderful time camping at Phipps Park with our family. We stayed several weeks and enjoyed beauty and wildlife so much. We have already made reservations for our next visit and looking forward to our return!!!

Very nice park run by good people. The only reason its not 5-star is it could have been mowed. The weeds constantly left little hitchhiker stickers all over our shoes, socks and pants. Beautiful setting, not many trees though, if you are looking for a campsite in woods. Close to turnpike but didnt really mind the traffic sound as Im a heavy sleeper. Clean bathrooms, never ran out of toilet paper (lol) and hot showers! We will be back.

This is the worst place Ive ever been. Beautiful park, beautiful bathrooms, tiny laundry area, but grounds keeper does nothing but harass you. For 194.50 we couldnt even camp peacefully. The camp ground is being reconstructed so we were the only campers there other than the few that came to stay a night. Durning our stay, we were continually accused of smoking in the bathroom, again the park is open to the public and there are construction workers there. We were told that we had trash there, yet we dont eat there because they dont have fire pits, so we eat at an organization. We only bring in fountain soda cups in. No trash there. Only four cups a day. This has gone on since weve stayed there. Then to top things off, they have a gate with a code, but at 7:30 pm we have to get out of car to pull gate open, drive through gate, get out of car, shut gate. My money I worked for paid for to be harassed. Thanks Martin county for the real great experience. I can now see why there was no other campers there period!!! I have never in my life been accused of doing things wrong when I know I havent other than when I was child. Ive camped in different spots in Florida and never have I had an experience like this. Never again.

Great local campground with clean bathrooms an several upgraded campsites along the river . not full hookup but they do have a dumpstation . water and electric on most sites . no real shade at most sites so summer camping can be brutal . the staff take great pride in the maintenance of this facility and that you enjoy your stay they also have a kids playground and boat ramp

We got here at 5 minutes after they closed and we called the emergency number and the ranger actually came out and let us in. My girlfriend went to get firewood and he woke us up at 6 in the morning because we accidentally took a branch off a living tree. Thats not a complaint it just goes to show how much they care about conservation in the area. In addition they were really helpful in pointing out where we could see wildlife and the park itself was very well maintained
