We had an absolute blast here!!! The volunteer we had at the sting ray tank and turtle area was extremely knowledgeable and informative. My 5 and 7 year old NEVER grew bored listening to all the information. The woman at the big game area was wonderful at letting us know all the issues plaguing our local water ways and ways we can help. But the woman that was manning the front was so unbelievably sweet. She was so kind to my boys and challenged them to come back to her at the end and tell her one thing they learned. And sure enough she remembered and asked them and was blown away with how much they learned and retained. We will 100% be back

$12 admission. You need to time your arrival so that you experience all 3 scheduled activities. It is definitely worth it. If you dont, you will likely be disappointed and feel the $12 admission wasnt worth it. You will need to arrive Monday- Saturday at either 10:20 or 1:20 to participate in the 10:30/ 1:30 stingray touch and feed. Then at 11/ 2 there is Sea Turtle Time. Followed by the shark feed. Sunday: arrive at 12:50 for the experiences starting at 1:00. Also on site is a 1 mile walking nature loop.

This is a great place for kids to learn about thier local environment and animals. Make sure you go during the stingray feeding and talk. Kids love feeding them and the touch tanks are great too. It usually has a wait list, but its worth it to get 4 people in for free.

Took my grand daughter here and was so happy I did. I was remiss in going an hour before closing because some of the exhibits were not available. You do need to give yourself some time here. We met the greatest employee Kai there who spent time with my 5 year old grand daughter despite it being close to closing time. He was the docent of the sting ray exhibit. I assume he was a trainer and docent because of his incredible knowledge of each individual stingray. Truly this young man represents the nature and philosophy of the center. I brought my mom and 2 year old here on a Thursday. We arrived just in time to feed the stingrays. That alone was worth the trip! After that we saw the sea turtles and sharks in the large lagoon. It seems to be laid out to stick with a guide who talks you through the exhibits but my little guy was disruptive so we broke away from the group. They have a small area with touch tanks, a small butterfly garden and small aquariums inside with seahorses and other creatures. There is a small area for kids to free play and a nature trail area where I did not go. Overall this is a quaint place that was perfect for my 2 year old. Just big enough for him to stay entertained, but not so big he was overwhelmed.

Beautiful lagoon setting (750,000 gallons) with a broad selection of local fish and wildlife. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children 3-12 (under 3 = free). The staff call all the marine life ambassadors because they are representatives who are there to teach us about the local marine life. There are sea turtles, nurse sharks, tarpon, cobia, pompano, snapper, sheepshead, spade fish and more. There are three types of native rays in a touch tank, and a one-mile trail walk through the mangrove swamp to the Indian River Lagoon. Lots to see and learn. Great experience for the whole family.
