We got Nelsons ice cream down the street and searched a place to sit down and eat our ice cream. Pioneer Park is clean and has such a beautiful view. The playground is awesome too-a place to come back to once the littles can safely play again.

I absolutely adore this park. Its got a wonderful view of downtown Stillwater and the river and the new bridge. Its not usually very busy so its nice to go there for evenings or lunch.if you can get there really early in the morning you will see the most spectacular sunrises.

Small but good. Good place for a picnic. Has a band shell which was locked up when we went there. Great view.

I lived across the street many years ago. The park has changed over the years but its still one of the best views in Stillwater, especially with a nice breeze flowing through on a warm summer evening.

Beautiful park. Big. Nice play structure. Clean, new bathrooms. But trees are overgrown and the river is hardly visible anymore.

Nice park with great scenery. People have been polite each time the family has been there. Closely located to Teddy Bear Park for when Teddy Bear is closed for the season

The good: This park has a nice view and adequate benches, picnic tables, gazebos, and barbecue areas. The grass was soft and well maintained; it has several large, shady, and cool-looking old trees. There is a neat little amphitheater/stage that Im sure would be great for music nights.The bad: The playground is pretty old, wooden, and a wicked splinter hazard. It has missing and broken equipment (notably swings that arent the toddler kind). The bathroom was extremely dirty and malodorous.All in all, its not as crowded as other parks in the city, but it definitely needs some serious TLC.

The new design is much more accessible for people of all abilities, but a lot less fun to play on. The old equipment was so unique, whereas a lot of the new accessible platforms dont have anything to play with. Additionally, they removed all the climbing structures from the toddler area - all that remains are swings and one tiny playhouse big enough for maybe two toddlers.

Beautiful park with phenomenal views of the St. Croix river. Lots of picnic tables for gatherings and seasonal bathrooms on site. Two different playgrounds; one for little kids and one for older. There is a clamshell for concerts. Parking is limited to the street only.

Wonderful quiet wedding ceremony location overlooking the St. Croix river and historic downtown Stillwater. Reserve site A with the shelter from the city. Great views!

Amazing views of the river, the lift bridge and the new MN-36 bridge. There are plenty of covered picnic areas and a recently updated playground. Lots of green space and a walking loop. There are bathrooms and water fountains too. On-street parking along the hill on 2nd St.

Nice shelters and playground. Terrific view! Only complaint is that there are no lights in the bathroom, despite the fact that the park is open until 10. Overall its a nice park.
