Great place to bring your kids to. They have 2 different age group parks. A nice tennis court, basketball, football and soccer field. I like the fact that it was not super packed too. I definitely recommend coming here.

Great place to play soccer indoor and outdoor. There is also an indoor swimming pool. If you like to walk or bycicle, you can find a great network of trails to Burke Lake and other small lakes of the area. Trails (in the wood) are always clean, easy to walk or run, with some moderate uphill and downhill. Parking lot is wide and usually you find a spot.

Nice park, always clean. Not usually crowded, but we are in the middle of a pandemic since I started using it so that may change. My youngest daughter was introduced to swinging here and it has become her favorite activity

Great place to get out doors in fresh air. Would have given 5 stars, but too many maskless folks.

We went to the go ape there. Real good course with professional and courteous staff. The rest of the park is super nice as well. Lots of sports fields kept in good shape. Nice dog park, but out can get a little crowded at times. The rec center is here as well.

Great facilities: playground, 2 turf fields plus a covered smaller turf field (inconvenient is that if the temps are extreme its worst in there) just wished they maintained their grass fields a lot better.

Hugebrec center with every sport field you can think of. I came to jog around Lake Mercer, the trailhead connects all the way at the back of the park.

Hidden jewel to go and hang at GoApe in the back. Awesome time there cant wait to go back

Lovely place for walking, biking and running

Very nice paved trail with lots of maps throughout guiding you on the trail.

I like this place. Its a big territory a lot of activities. There is a Go Apes location here as well as a fitness center with the swimming pool. Parking is big enough to come almost anytime. Enjoy!

Nice place with a beautiful park and a nice little river where you can go over by an arc shaped bridge.

This rec center has everything you need -- equipment, pool, racketball, etc. Well kept, friendly staff, large locker rooms.

The kids area is clean and nice, if a bit small. The trails are nice and lead to local neighborhoods.

Another great RecCenter in the Fairfax Parks system. There are a great number of trails that are available for walking/running.

A large modern fully featured county rec center. Encloses an an amazing indoor over-olympic sized pool which includes a large whirlpool and sauna. The facility sponsors numerous activities including dance-aerobic classes, spinning and many more.

I went to the swiming pool.almost I became frozen. The emergency doors to outside are not enough sealed. You can see from the swiming pool the one inche gap betwen the door and his frame. A stream of icy air penetrates the interior, putting health at risk. I payed 10 dolar but the person in charge did not give me the receip. The facilities are very good. Fix this please.

This is a great county rec center with a lot of awesome amenities including a pool and nice playground. Its really affordable for any family looking for a gym.

Fields are a bit narrow and bleacher seating is on the same side as the team benches. Portable bathrooms lacked sanitizer.

Great park with lots of space and very clean. Expertly maintained with nice rec center. 24 hour gym with hot tub and indoor pool. Great place for family. Also great hunting ground for pokemon go. Will add photos soon

Nice for workouts....great trails outside. The climbing and ziplines park is nice but expensive.

Built a new attraction.

The best part of South Run Park is the awning putting the entire playground in the shade. Lots of people can tell you about the other facilities, quality of the field grasses, and which water fountains have the best pressure, but the playground is where it is at!

Big sports park in Fairfax county. Soccer fields in excellent condition. However the baseball fields were in horrible condition—-fields not lined, no pitchers mound and the portable mound was wobbly and unstable and not usable, many bad hops on infield ground balls. Expect better from Fairfax County

I pulled over to take a nap. A good nap is when you wake up after 10 or 15 minutes and have no idea where you are. That was one of those naps. Easy parking, easy in and out, no one bothered me. Perfect.

My daughter loves this place, they have toddler play class and a great shaded playground. Plenty for the kids to do and see!

Always a good place to take the kids to do something fun. Playgrounds, big pool, open fields, a wooded path, and now Go Ape.

The park is great. Well maintained. Lots of space. Nice hiking trails. You can use the bathrooms in the recenter. But bring water. There are no outside fountains.

Absolutely love South Run Park. And I am especially enjoying the summer soccer program and the great gardens around the rec center bulding.

One of Fairfax Countys gems. Huge facility. Lots of fun classes for children and adults. They now have zip lines as well. One of our favorite parks. Oh, and a great dog park area too!

While this is posted as an indoor/outdoor rec park, and I mean I guess it technically is, I didnt find that they had a lot to offer my son (4) on the rainy day we were passing through. There is an awesome play area outside for kids 2-12 that is somewhat sheltered but definitely not water proof. Aside from that, the only other activity offered to out family was access to the pool. Mind you, we were on a road trip and just passing though so that was a bit of a disappointment. But for what it actually is, it was nice, and I would recommend to anyone passing by needing to stretch their legs or run out their childs energy.

Great place for kids, has an covered outdoor play ground. And fitness equipment for adults indoors. Havent checked out Go Ape, but my daughters and son in law had a good time. Couple of ball fields, soccer/football,baseball/softball fields. Worth checking out.

Nice park with a variety of activities including multiple soccer fields, playground, indoor pool, racquetball courts, exercise room, and activities rooms. It also hosts a treetop adventure company (Go Ape) that lets you transit an obstacle course in the tree tops.

The park is well maintained. I was also surprised to see they already had the shade in place.

I have always played on the soccer fields, but since they re-did them they are nice to play on.

Beautiful park with several soccer fields and indoor pool/rec center. Located conveniently off of the Fairfax county parkway and easily accessible. Fields could be in better shape but two of them are artificial turf so the rain doesnt affect as much.

Spacious rec center with all-you-need activities and friendly staff. Several soccer/baseball/whatever-games fields. Tennis and basketball courts. Walking trails and Go Ape park are all in one area. Oh, theres also a dog park here.

Great for field sports as it has three soccer fields, and an indoor field and several baseball diamonds. Theres hiking nearby at lake Mercer and Burke lake and you can access the trails from the parking lot. It has a gym and a pool which requires a membership.The pool staff theyre the best Ive ever seen, super professional and highly trained. However, membership is pricey, which is unfortunate for a county owned facility.

Such a beautiful and peaceful place

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The place has a lot going in at the rec center, fields, and dog park. The gender neutral restroom is downstairs, in the back, through the life guard office. Thats a bit of effort. Also, soap dispensers might not be accessible for all people.Edit to include the playgrounds. There are two very fun playgrounds right next to each other for supper young kids and older kids. So good!!

We spend a lot of our time here. The fields have been redone, the gym and pool are great, the trails are wonderful for long walks. We havent done the zip line yet, but it looks great.

We love the offering of kids classes here for reasonable prices. They just installed a zip line course that looks amazing and theyve completely torn out the old playground and are putting in an accessible playground. Theres an indoor pool, soccer fields, basketball, tennis, field house for indoor soccer, dog park, dog agility course and several trails.

Must bring your own water, no taps.

One of my favorite parks has good trails for hiking and biking a dog park soccer fields and the rec center has a good gym and pool along with a relaxing jacuzzi for after workout. Only wish it would stay open later I would go there more often.

Large park right off Fairfax County Parkway. Go Ape is also located here. Several soccer or football fields. Ample free parking. There is a dog park that is fenced in.

Great walking paths. Once the playground is complete that will be wonderful again. Its got shade and activities for all ages.

The facilities are very dated and run down... the mens lockers room are nasty and none of the shower stalls have curtines, it seems incident, but its all about cost savings I suppose, but I was not a big fan of it. I also had my kids here for swimming lessons and I honestly wasnt very impressed with the teachers. Specifically, I think there were too many kids allowed in the class and the teachers dont do a good job of equally dividing their time with the students.Also, it is truly frustrating that during swimming lessons there are so many kids in the pool that all the kids are basically on top of each other and dont even have enough space to sufficiently learn how to swim. It is honestly a bit chaotic and not well organized. For a little bit more for the money, Im only going to take my kids to the kids first swim place.I do enjoy the walking trails and they are enjoyable. I have not tried the go ape activities, but honestly, Im not going to put my life in the hands of the low cost bid contractor who built everything.

We enjoyed our first obedience class with our dog Ronan this morning. He did well with sit, down, watch me along with the introduction of clicker training. Ronan showed polite manners to Moose a 6 month old Golden Retriever. Yeah Ronan

There is a really nice indoor soccer field here which you can rent out. Its turf but still nice.

Great place for family activities. Many things to do, and always well maintained.
