Excellent gym. Not just for a university gym, but objectively its one of the best gyms Ive ever been to. Plenty of space, good equipment that is well-maintained, a few lifting platforms with bumper plates, and 10 squat racks. The indoor track is nice. Locker rooms are clean. If I could add one thing it would be for them to open the group class rooms for stretching instead of having everyone cluster on the hard carpets in a small area next to the track.

Its a nice facility, unsurprisingly, as all full time students pay for it even if they have no interest in using it. Therefore it is not bound to the rules of the market. They have wierd hours and randomly close for things like throwing parties for their staff or to have a haunted house. In general they operate in a way that would cause them to fail if they had to actually compete for a user base. Staff is usually pretty cool. Ive made friends with several of them. The management however resemble domineering high school Administrators. Every time they are around I feel like Im about to be sent to the principals office.Edit: Removing another star because I again had to deal with the haunted house nonsense. This time they wouldnt let me get into my locker (that I pay extra for) because they were hanging black plastic and empty toilet paper rolls from the cieling on the lower level.

This is an amazing place with lots of great energy. Im not exactly an athlete but I didnt feel out of place at all being here. I regret not taking a picture of the place because its a new building and very nicely modern looking.

Best place and staff on campus besides the PSU (which is equally as great). Great selection of weight and cardio machines, and enough of them so there isnt ever a wait to use one thats in your workout routine. Pool and sauna are always quiet and never crowded. Rock climbing wall is great but it isnt always open.

It can get pretty busy. You just have to figure out where to go and when. Really nice place though!

Nice facility. Majority of student workers have no customer service skills. The facility advertises the music played is varied but I only hear rap or r&b music. Their jacuzzi appears to be broken 50% of the time. Otherwise a neat place. Awesome rock climbing wall.

I really liked working out at this place. They have all of the muscle groups covered on the machines, so theres never a group you may have missed. The staff keeps everything clean, and the swimming area is great. The sauna is clean and satisfying after a long work out.

Busy during school year. Need to get there around 6am to beat the crowd. Equipment is very nice and always growing sometimes not what is actually needed in my mind. They have got equipment I have asked for in after suggesting it too. However others and myself have complained multiple times about mirror setup and how mirrors are covered/not accessible and virtual worthless members compete over the small sections that are available. I have tried to inform and stress the fact that mirrors are safety devices that allows ppl to keep form when lifting heavier weight and why have them when they are not used. I have offered suggestions like relocating equipment to a separate room or moving them back to where they were approximately 5 years ago. Responses are always political. Ex: If we move the equipment(dumbells and their racks) blocking the mirrors to another location the women would feel less secure about using them the moved equipment. Or the way the gym is set up is to encourage flow. Im here to encourage growth, helth and safety. Moving on... You must be a student or faculty at msu or live with said person to utilize or be accompanied by a member. Pool hours differ from gym hours. This is also a problem in my mind as the sauna is locked when the pool is. I know thats typical for several facilities but can we not just sign a waiver. Also students are not allowed to not pay for gym ut is in their tuition fees bill. At the other school I attended I was able to opt out of their gym to go use local one that was more accommodating to my needs(24hr access)

Really nice workout and training facility. It has all of the equipment I could want. The only things keeping me giving it 5 stars are the hours of operation and the parking situation. They can both be very weird and inconsistent.
