Not very happy with this place after renting a room from them for Thanksgiving. They were understanding about the ones in our group who couldnt wear a mask, but they made everyone give up their personal phone number. Not sure why or for what they are going to use it for, but there was no reason at all for them to know everyones phone number.Plus, the level of social justice warrior was a little on the crazy side. But to each their own. But a sign in the mens restroom asked you to flush responsibly because they had sensitive pipes. What the heck does that mean? Then, a lot of our group had to walk further so they could give the front spaces to vehicles that were low emissions. Seriously? Thats just ridiculous. But whatever. The room we rented was clean and had enough tables and chairs for our group. I do appreciate that.
This park is great! It has bathrooms near the playground which is always convenient. A large playground with several structures, including rock wall and swings. An added bonus is the fenced in baseball field and large grass area. It also has a large shaded picnic area with tables connected to the bathrooms.
What a perfect place for you get ones to play. The playsets are disabled friendly, and it makes it easy for younger children to explore. Older children also have a great time with the rock wall climb, and the tall slides. This is our all time favorite park to bring the kids to. No rocks, no sticks, just rubberized ground for accessibility!!
The park is really nice, but the bigger blue swings need to be fixed. As far as the actual facility, its the best in town! Ive lived in Springfield long enough to have tried out several gyms and fitness centres. The staff at Dan Kinney is helpful and extremely nice. I fully trust all the girls who work in the daycare and Im very picky when it comes to my children. The only fitness instructors Ive worked with are Susan and Amy, both are amazing and have really helped me reach my fitness goals. Ive been a member at Dan Kinney for almost 2 years, and every time I walk through those doors I know its going to make my day better.
My kids love this playground a lot of the parks these days especially the remodeled and newer ones are coming out with this great spongy like ground around the play equipment and its so nice Springfield is doing an awesome job with their upgrades in their Park
Small park. But fantastic jungle gym, and high end small baseball diamond (very small). My toddlers had a great time. Heads up though, in the hot sun, much of the equipment and the rubber flooring around it is dangerously hot.
It was very neat and clean, nice space, nice equipment for the kids to play on.
It is a nice little park.
Perfect park. Probably the only one in Springfield that’s worth a visit. Ground is made of soft rubber instead of wood chips, plenty of slides, swings and places for parents to sit and watch the kiddos.
This gym rules, super friendly staff, and clean!!
It really is the best park for beginners
Awesome playground for children of all ages! Love that there is a walking trail
Review for park only: I love this park. It is truly accessible and inviting for those in need of accommodation as well as those who dont need it. This is one place all kids can play together. Its a beautiful thing.
The gym is small but staff is friendly and it’s always clean. I was told that a future expansion project will include an indoor swimming pool. Really hope that comes to fruition! The playground is amazing and a favorite for my 7 year old. Safe and enjoyable walking path that circles the property. Added bonus: excellent place to have a family picnic and watch the sun set!
Pretty nice park to bring the kids to
Granddaughter loves this park. We go alot
Everyone is friendly here. They may not start a conversation until they see you regularly, but they will smile at you. No one hogs the machines. This is based on the morning crowd which is when I go. I go in anywhere between 6-9am.
Clean facilities. Good variety of equipment and classes offered.
Good place to go play
I love this place!
Terrific for children and grandparents!!!
We loved this ball field because of the activities it provided for my special needs grand child. Its a great ball field
Favorite place to workout! The equipment, members and staff are all great!
Good place for kids. Stays maintained.
We didnt go into the building, but there were some staff members hanging out with some kids. Kids are having a great time and the staff members were very friendly. we took our kids to the park, and were very impressed with all the things that it had to offer for our kids.
Great place they have a room they rent to do parties is great has sink tables chairs very nice place for party
When the scanners are down at the Y they dont chase people down with a clipboard to sign in. Spolier alert, people arent try to sneak in to lift at 5am!
Clean facility and great staff.
Very nice playground equipment. There are a couple of different rock climbing walls and different slides.
Fun for kids of all ages!
Great place to take the kiddos to burn off some energy!
Great variety of equipment, help available if needed.
Great playground. Super clean. Would definitely come back to
Great community gym. They have a great number of cardio machines as well as a wonderful weight lifting area. Nice indoor running track and gym. I use it when visiting from out of town and the day pass is a great option ($7). Apparently you can also purchase a set of passes (think they said around 10) for $50-$60, so a slightly better deal and you have a year to use them.
Their park is amazing! It’s one of the best in Springfield
Kids night is the best! Admittedly, we go more for that then the gym, but the exercise equipment is good too.
I rotate between this gym and Chesterfield but Kinney has far superior facilities. Very well maintained setup also
I love the park. Super new with activities for all ages. Gym is a little small so I avoid it for the 5pm rush hour. Great gym the rest of the time.
Loved it! Nice area to play baseball, kids stay clean.
A great place to workout with Your Favorite Trainer Tiana!
Convenient for SE Springfield, good equipment and tracks. Nice staff and facilities. Helps make keeping regular exercise going since its close and quick.
Greatest deal for a family working out
Have o my been there once. Great place for cant get togethers. Clean! Good playground.
I like love the staff. They always greet me by name and with a smile. One of the highlights of my day.
This place was awesome. It has the absolute best playground in Springfield, in my opinion.
Wonderful playground and ball field. Made for disabled kids, but great for the whole family!
I was introduced to the city/county centers at Dan Kinney. I now am a member at Chesterfield Family Center mainly because of my Dan Kinney experience.
Not really sure of the prices or activities. My sister had my nephews birthday here and it seemed nice.
The outdoor park is nice.
Dan Kinney Family Center is an awesome place to train to run a half marathon with Your older Sister that you lost a Super Bowl bet too! Also, The Staff there is friendly as well!
Close to home like the walking track
Fantastic place, great service, great amenities, great and very helpful staff. I belonged to a 24 hour franchise gym before and it was a really good place with very good personal trainers and a tremendous owner owner and staff. However, for me personally, The Dan Kinney Center blows the rest away with all they have to offer from organized sports, pickelball, basketball court, free classes, free weights, machines, more aerobic equipment (swimming pool you can use at Chesterfield) and it actually cost less than my previous gym and most other fitness centers in town. The staff has never been anything but very friendly and informative to me and the members were very nice and helpful as they introduced me to pickelball and let me get in the pick up games as a newbie where they offered me encouragement and instruction. As a tennis player it was a new experience and I love the camaraderie. I go every single day. Most people are just about as happy as they make up their minds to be and if you were treated rudely it was an anomaly, because I went in 3 times before moving to this gym and was always treated very well
Love the outdoor play area. Very family friendly
The only completely handicapped accessible playground in Springfield, MO. Has neat equipment for all kids, disabled or non-disabled, and even has swings designed for children in wheelchairs! One of our favorite parks!
Playground is lots of fun for little kids, but less than ideal. Its small and with no tree cover its very hot in the direct sun.
Rude and insensitive. Wont be returning, will be demanding a refund. Glad my old gym (that Ill be going back to) costs less and has a better variety of equipment.
Great park!
I wish the weight room was bigger but overall is a nice gym and very clean.
Great environment and lots of different workout equipment and things to do.
Nice park. Equipment has good upkeep. Spacious
Workout everyday here always clean great staff
Took my grandkids to the park and the facilities are wonderful.
Great facility! A little pricey, though, but kept clean and several workout options available.
