This is a popular place! If youre looking for a nice easily navigated trail for walking, running, or biking, youve found it. My daughter (9yo) & I visited Saturday afternoon. Lots of people of all ages were here. We enjoyed admiring all of the dogs that we met along the trail. It was nice to see that everyone abided by the leash rule. We enjoyed our walk and plan to return.One thing that I feel to be helpful to know about before visiting during the pandemic... The trail is a bit narrow in a lot places which can be problematic if youre trying to follow Covid19 protocol for being around others. Its impossible to stay on the trail & keep a distance of 6ft between anyone you meet. Theres no way to avoid other people here.

Beautiful park with well maintained trails and lots of wildlife. We saw ducks, geese, turtles, lizards and dragonflies. The trial was easy so it’s good for those who are out of shape like I am.

Great place to visit, we played disk golf and the course was great, a good fee trees on the course which adds a good complexity but not terribly hard to navigate. Difficult to get parking but very clean area

This is a beautiful park where I can walk by myself, or with friends. The trail that we use is a little over 2 miles, a lot of it shaded. My friend brings her dog and lets her jump into the water when were almost half way around. I really love Reservoir Park!

Fantastic nature walk, about 2 miles around the reservoir. Lots of ducks, geese, butterflies, pine trees. Restrooms available.

This is a great place to get out and visit. Its a very spacious, and the scenery is beautiful.

This is a great park with a beautiful reservoir, hence its name! Definitely good for paddle-boarding or kayaking. Parking at the main location can be a pain especially early in the morning when all the early-bird runners are getting their workouts in. However, they have three other parking spots for access to the other trails: Elizabeth Rounds Park (570 Pee Dee Rd) or Whitehall Trail (490 Pee Dee Rd) and up north at Nicks Greenway (7200 NC 22 Hwy).The main loop (David R White) is about 2 miles long around the lake, but they have plenty of other trails that you can mix and match to add to your run. There are also little work out challenges through the path so you could end up doing a circuit-like workout as well. They also have a disc golf course going on too if youre into that.Overall, its a lively park with a lot of people and is a trail runners paradise with all the paths to take. So grab your running shoes because there is much to explore!

Great place to spend a few hours either enjoying the well kept trails or enjoying lunch under the large shelter areas! They now have bike stations where there are tools and a tire pump (super awesome!!).

Nice walking place with nice people. The view is amazing and great for a place to go with your significant other. Very dog friendly. Great place for a run with seats and breaks along the way. The place has small workout areas to go along with it. The water can be fished but there arent many fish. The view is amazing and people are friendly and sometimes will even get a few words in before passing.

Beautiful for a walk around the pond ( reservoir ) . Clean trails with such friendly neighbors. Certainly a strong military presence. Connects to many other trails. Watch out for the sometimes overzealous bicycle enthusiasts!

Amazing place to have a picnic, bike, kayaking, hike. It’s recommended the 2 miles walk around the lake. It’s really relaxing and there is always people there that can joint you while walking your dog

Great place to recreate. Accommodates a lot of outdoor activities to include: kayaking, fishing, boating with electric propulsion, floating, running and biking trails around the reservoir. Parking fills up fast, get there early.

The disc golf course is awesome, and you get a great workout while playing. The lake is beautiful and there are a lot of friendly people there. There’s a two mile trail around the lake good for walking your dog, running or riding your bike. There are some sandy areas though so bike riding is more ideal in the spring and fall. When we have friends and family visit we always bring them here!

Safe fun walking trails the water is clean and it is beautiful! But watch out for snakes! The park is well maintained with running water and flush toilets. Great fishing and picnic areas. Lots of wild life turtles lizards and birds. Beautiful all times of the year.

Easy trails not too long or short benches to sit at and restrooms at the beginning also disc golf trail and a bike station. Really pretty views all the way around too.

Very nice place only down side is no swimming other then that perfect to walk, run, picnic & enjoy the outdoors.

The Reservoir is always a great place to walk, run, or bike. Add the Greenway that crosses Airport Rd. and you have a nice long route.

Great place to let kids run out some energy. Popular trail, saw several other families and dogs. Trail has built in challenge stops, where you can stop to do additional exercises. Beautiful place, will definitely visit again!

Great place to walk, run, ride bikes. A few docks around for feeding ducks and turtles. Make sure you have an off road stroller if youre bringing the littles. Walk can be done in 30 minutes.

One of my favorite places in the area. Enjoy the 2-mile trail around the lake, with exercise stations. Has one of the nicer disc golf courses in the area. Pavilion for parties. Lots of ducks. Kayaking. Unfortunately, no swimming. A fun and relaxing place to visit.

Great scenery. Its well kept. A nice long path so you can get your exercise in without making the same loop 10 times. I came to fish but there is an algea issue (ok so Ive still tried unsuccessfully lol). But Ive been told the fishing is usually good and there are plenty of spots open and more if you arent afraid of tall grass or general plants life. Nice little dock for putting in canoes, kayaks and other non motor boats I believe is the rule. Restrooms are lit by the sun with no air...most parks like this are like that though.ONLY complaint so far...for such a large area there is no such thing as feeling like you are alone and enjoying nature. Everyone has been extremely nice though. I just prefer a bit more solitude at these places than this one affords bc of the layout and bc it stays busy from just before dawn until nightfall from what Ive seen.

Great park with a sandy trail around the reservoir. Also connects to other Greenway trails that are being developed or have already been made. Park has a frisbee golf course too. There are plenty of benches around the park to sit on and enjoy the reservoir too. Bathrooms available to use as well as cook out spots. Trail does say it suitable for biking and walking. I used a hybrid bike and struggled on parts of the trail because of the sand so I’d recommend using a mountain bike. The park also has a bike station for you to pump air into the tires and do other things.

Still a beautiful place to walk but the large amounts of sand placed on the paths makes it very difficult to walk or ride a bike. You should go back to the very small gravel as it used to be. It would be safer for all.

Nice walking trails

Very pretty walk through the woods while viewing the reservoir. Lots of people with dogs, but friendly and all on leashes!

Usually go there for the disc golf course and trail riding. The park stays clean and updated. Dock available for non gas powered boats. Currently there is a warning about high levels of algae so they dont wa t people in the water

Resevoir is just a beautiful and incredibly useful park. Disc golf is a blast with friends and the trail is almost a perfect two miles for you guys who gotta get that run down! . Also the lake is gorgeous.

This little piece of heaven is absolutely beautiful and so very peaceful ️ its very clean as well.

One of my personal favorites to visit for a nice morning job. There is plenty of wildlife for the kids to enjoy. The 2 mile trail is meticulously well maintained by the town, and the patrons. Ive yet to see a single piece of trash strewn about anywhere in the park. Plus they have a disc golf course, some calisthenic workout equipment, well marked trail heads and numerous shaded benches and picnic tables. Plus a recently upgraded dock and boat launch.

It used to be a great place to go, but it is getting too crowded. Hard to run or jog there with all the strollers and people who cant control their dogs.

Had a great time walking the trails and fishing here. Only downside to this beautiful park is there are lots of people that come for photography sessions so you have to kind of work your activities around the people taking pictures. A great place to take kids to!

I was visiting the area for work and needed a run. Nice running trail, about 2 miles around the lake. Trail erosion could be an issue on the future. Some culverts would really help. Parking lot was 3/4 full on a Monday after work. I imagine ot can get scarce on nice weekends.

It was beautiful but the blue green algae prevented us from enjoying it.

Its a beautiful, quiet place that you can take your entire family to. You can even grill out!
