Wow! One of the best courses Ive played in a long time. Fairways excellent! Greens were fast.

The course was in great shape at Talamore Golf Resort. As usual, the staff is friendly, courteous, and professional. An example of this was demonstrated when housekeeping locked our doors for us when they reset the room. I returned early and was locked out. One call and 3 minutes later I was in my room.If you’re looking for a high-quality course at a very decent price, especially for a large group, then Talamore is the best golf package place in Pinehurst.

15th year in a row I have enjoyed a golf trip here. Never had any issues. Talamore is clean, well located and has an outstanding golf course, greens are top rate. Golf trip advisor, Loraine Owen is very knowledgeable about the area and golf courses. She always makes sure that my group has a great experience.

Condos were nice golf was great the pig roast was a plus all the courses in our package were close by and it was convenient had a great time and are considering coming back soon as someone from talemore gives us a call to give us rates for april

This is the greatest place to stay and play golf and breakfast every morning. And great restaurants are everywhere.

We had a really poor experience today. The pro was rushing us around the course and degrading his staff. They wouldn’t allow us to have any food at the turn and required 10 minutes on the 11th tee with a foursome or had to skip it. I plan to reach out to ownership. This was supposed to be the highlight of our trip, and it ended up being the low point. I would go play Tobacco Road (nice folks there). This course is overrated and the pro is terrible. 0 stars would be ideal.The course was in decent shape. Customer service from the pro was trash though.

Played here 30+ times over the last 15 years and the course keeps getting better. Tag, Miles, and Lisa were more than accommodating. A MUST PLAY if you are in the southern pines area

This is one of the nicest tracks in the Sandhills - heck NC. Lots of fun holes with a lot of variety. Excellent condition, greens are very nice. Challenging but rewards good shots. Staff couldnt have been nicer.

Really nice course. Had a 3 day GOLFWEEK Amateur Tour Golf event in the area and this was one of the couses. Definitely will return. Greens were AWESOME. Staff was SUPER friendly. If in the area you should definitely put this course on your list.

Nice golf experience. Course is fantastic and challenging for any skill level with the numerous tees. New greens are a big upgrade and rank high compared to other courses in the area. Decent pro shop with a nice selection. Resort breakfast and Thursday pig roast are a plus, as is the bar area. Resort rooms are akin to a mid level hotel chain, but very clean. Huge negative is horrible cell phone service in the resort area. We did a long weekend and Talamore delivered!

Very nice villas, the staff were excellent, super friendly and busted their tushes from sun up to past sun down. The Course was in excellent condition - wow. Highly, highly recommend playing. The greens are tough but then again, it is a NC course in Durham and I expected nothing less as the greens played fast for this guy playing N. Virginia courses.Take your time on the course, plan your shots and count for the 3 yards of approach to the green being soft and you will enjoy.Yes, you can grip and rip for many holes and the benefit will be huge.

We been coming since 2014, and fell in love with the Pinehurst & Southernpine area. Great golf course, food and shopping if your into that. Talamore is a great place to stay and play. Golf course is in great condition every time we come. Good breakfast & their Pik N Pig on Thursday night is a great time

Course was in excellent shape tee to green. Challenging yet playable. Only complaint is greens were hard as concrete and not receptive to approach shots.

This is the second year in a row I have come here for a golf trip. There are a lot of great courses in the area and I have played 6 different ones the past two trips. Talamore is by far my favorite. The course is beautiful, the staff is friendly and the lodging feels like a 5 star hotel. I will definitely be coming back next year and would recommend this course to anyone asking about courses in the Pinehurst area.

Quite a spectacular golf course, challenging, fast greens, everything was well kept. Some friends and I went down on a golf package offered by the course in off season otherwise it would be too expensive. One cool perk was that the carts had a small tablet in them that shows each hole with yardage updated in real time as you drive the course. Very nice course.

We went here for our grandsons golf tournament. We are not golfers, but the golfers told us it was really a nice course. I enjoy walking the course, when we go to these tournaments and this was wonderful. The pinetrees are magnificent, everyone was helpful and friendly. AND our grandsons team won.

Stayed at Talamore for a golf trip this weekend. The staff at Talamore could not be more accommodating and the course is top notch as well. I made a last minute tee time this morning and Miles (asst. pro) could not have been nicer. Outside staff was great also! We played Talamore the day before and had the same experience. This staff truly understands customer service and I will be returning in the future. The golf course is important, but feeling like your business is valued adds to the positive experience. If planning a trip to the Pinehurt area put Talamore on your list!

First time playing in Pinehurst. Great experience! Course was amazing and well cared for. Greens were very fast. Keep your eyes peeled for black squirrels and Llamas! Yes, i said it. Llamas.

Usually come down to Talamore in February with some guys. Reasonably priced and great location for a golf trip. Staff was helpful and golf course itself is okay too. There’s disc golf nearby and a nice trail.

Greens are too hard but a really nice course

This is an excellent course. Great layout and fun for all skill levels as long as you play the proper tees. New sand traps and Bermuda greens. The new greens are really nice. Pace of play was very good on a busy day. We played in just under four hours. Additionally the cart paths are in excellent shape and they have a nice clubhouse to stop in after your round. Highly recommend adding this course to your next Pinehurst trip.

Talamore is AMAZING! Weve been on 3 different trips for golf and the New Course is great. Lodging on site is very nice and lots of amenities. The staff is very helpful and go above and beyond to make your trip enjoyable. Pro shop has lots of stuff but is a little smaller. The restaurant and bar in the club house is quaint and has very good food and a wide drink selection. Would recommend staying and playing at Talamore to any golf fan!

Played 18 holes here with my brother, loved it so much we replayed! Greens were very fast and in superb condition. The starter as well was very informative of the course and gave us a wealth of tips before teeing off. Easily the best course Ive played in NC so far!

The price charged for the shape of the course was not worth it. Fairways were just dirt and mud. Impossible to play out of. The sand traps were in horrible condition. Fairways were ok but not great.

Very nice,great shape

Went in February, and this place is a steal price wise. Was perfect for the 8 guys we had on the trip, got 2 units side by side. Each unit was big in size and the furnishings were great. Also, they booked all our tee times for us, we just have them the order we wanted to play them in. It was my 2nd time there and will go back again for sure.

Good value round for the Southern Pines area. Nice layout, which I would also describe as really good but not great. It is playable and mostly laid out in front of you, but there are some challenging holes too. Some wide landing areas in the fairways but a good number of bunkers to catch you up by the greens. Conditions werent bad but the greens were very slow (June 2015) and there were easily some projects they could tackle if they wanted to up their course maintenance game. Service was really commendable from the guys in the shop. Pace of play was good, I would recommend checking this place out.

Most excellent course, layout and green complexes. Stay on right side of the greens or suffer the consequences. Staff is one of the best I habe.encountered in the area and most accommodating to our needs. Some holes are classic design with 7 tee sets to match anyones game.

Talamore condos are intelligently laid out, very clean, and enjoyable. The staff is friendly, helpful, and incredibly prompt addressing any issues that arise. Highly recommend 5 out of 5.

Talamore is one of the classic golf courses of Pinehurst. Its two nine-hole loops contain many attractive golf holes, laid out in a quiet and natural setting where pine trees provide the main backdrop to Rees Jones excellent design. From start to finish the holes pleasantly meander their way through much unspoilt pine forest, with real estate largely kept a reasonable distance behind the holes and much less evident on the back-nine.Since opening in 1991, Talamores pleasantly wooded charms, gentle undulations and handsome design has made it a popular venue for local and visiting golfers alike.

For the past several years I have stayed at Talamore for our annual mens golf retreat.This year the newly renovated course is great, the clubs hospitality is second to none,, and their desire to be a top notch location is evident.I would recommend it without reservation.

There are many courses at Pinehurst but the Talamore always stands out as a great course. On our yearly trip it is always included in our itinerary.

Contrary to popular opinion, this is a good, but not great Rees Jones-designed course that opened in 1991, but feels more like 1961 re. the feel of the course, the yardage and hole markers, and the course conditions. Even the renowned llamas looked puny in their corral! There are lots the signature Rees Jones mounding and bunkers, but the course conditions were average at best - greens & bunkers were fine, but the fairways and rough areas were patchy. A good course if you can find a discount card or coupon; otherwise, paying more than $50 per round is a waste of your money. Making my experience was the fact that our round took over 6 hrs. to complete due to being at the back-end of a single group of 13 foursomes ahead of us that the staff didnt tell us about before we started our round. We saw the marshal approach them only once, and then tell us he didnt want to rush them b/c they only visit once a year! When we complained to management once we finally finished our round, the clubhouse attendant only shrugged his shoulders and said, Im sorry... A good course, but not worth regular green fee rates.

Great location for a golf trip. Very nice spacious villas. Great golf package prices. Only negative (or positive depending on perspective) is very poor cell signal.
