We played 27 holes at Hyland for 2 days in a row for a golf trip and had a great time! The staff was friendly and the course was a very fun layout with some nice elevation changes. The greens were in great shape. I thought they were very receptive to holding well struck shots and they were also a nice fast speed. I would definitely play here again or highly recommend to check out if youre in the area.

None of the staff were wearing masks. Seemed very irresponsible and disrespectful to us. Although the course was nice, will not return, restaurants in the area were much more considerant.

Absolutely LOVED IT!!! Reminded me of the municipal gc I used to play in Hope Mills NC, and the ones on Camp Lejeune. GOING BACK SOON!!!

Just Wow, thats all I got, WOW. What a course, had a wonderful time. My new favorite course, just hate its an hour drive one way. Condition of course was wonderful, didnt look like winter. Wasnt even crowded. Perfect day of golf, thanks Hyland!!!!!!!

Hyland was the best value of our trip. All the people from the pro shop to the snack bar were EXTREMELY nice and welcoming. The course was in terrific shape......fairways were really good and the greens were the BEST of any of the courses we played. I enjoy the layout and the fact that Hyland is one of the better draining courses in the area is a plus. Price point is also very good. We will definitely keep Hyland Golf Club in our rotation on our next trip to Pinehurst.

I will never play this course again. DO NOT GET AN EARLY TEE TIME TO PLAY THIS COURSE. THEY SEND PEOPLE OFF THE BACK SIDE AND YOU WILL CATCH THEM AND WAIT EVERY SHOT. The course is in great shape and the greens are great. However we had an early tee time the other day and after not waiting a shot the front 9, we caught up on number 12 to groups that started on 10 and waited every shot. I was told they rarely do that. Today (5 days later) we had an early tee time and again caught up to groups that got to start on the back on the 12th hole and waited every shot coming in. I was told that some groups that thought they had 9:40 times really had 11:40 so they sent them off the back. So those groups made the mistake but I get punished. The course can run the business the way they want, but there are other places I can play so they can run it without me.

Very nice and challenging 9 hole course

It was the first time I played there. The course was in good shape and you can tell they are putting in the work to make it even nicer. The bar/restaurant they have there had great food. The service was great as well throughout the whole place. I’ve worked in restaurants for over 25 years and the club sandwich they had there was the best I’ve ever had. I plan on going and playing and eating again there next time I am around that way.

The course layout and greens are great, however, fairways, rough and tee boxes need attention. Can easily become 4-4.5 stars with TLC.

Course conditions were very good. They are fixing up the place. We will be back next year.

Friendly staff. Outdated clubhouse. T boxes need help. Fairways decent but not great. Some interesting holes and terrain changes. Very good greens. Just seems to be missing something for a golf Mecca destination. A decent play but would not be hurrying back.

This place has the disadvantage of being one of many many golf courses in the area and doesnt really Stack Up too much better options close by... Fun layout but greens were not in good shape and very fast and challenging!

Do not make the mistake of attempting to buy food/drinks in their pro shop. You will be accosted by a crazy lady that accuses you of holding up play on a dead July afternoon. I guess Im happy to hear the course is doing so well they can afford to be absurdly rude to their patrons. I wont ever be going back, and its probably for the best. The course seems to be in worse shape every time I play. There are much better places to play in the area at or below their price point.

The staff is very personable and makes you feel welcome. The course has a great layout and looks to be in the best shape in years. Great Value

Great place to play golf

Had 7 AM tee time on June 18, 2018 No one got to pro shop until 7. Several greens had bare spots. Had to wait on several holes while they mowed greens. They were also watering greens. If you can’t get course ready by 7, don’t open then. Missed the former staff people.

Greens in excellent shape!! Fairways are spotty but it is a fun course. Friendly staff reasonable in price. Driving range is terrible.

Probably the best putting greens in the Pinehurst area, but the course was in bad shape. We enjoyed the course, but for peak season, there was no excuse for the lack of grass in the fairway and tee box. The staff was really friendly. If they took care of the teeboxes and fairways like the greens this would be a 5 star course.

Disappointed. Had higher expectations coming to Pinehurst area to play a course with decent reviews online. Front nine was very rough condition with a boring layout. Back nine was better, so salvaged the round. Clubhouse & Facilities are run down and dead. There was no food available. Also, the GPS & yardage book was not correct on most holes. Use a range finder, if you go. For the price, there are much better courses to play in the Pinehurst area

Best experience imaginable. Service is impeccable and the course is undescribably fun, fair, and challenging. Kudos to Bridgette in the Pro Shop, she is remarkable. Ben, the greenskeeper, great job. He has the ultradwarf firm and fast everyday. LOVE IT!!

This course in fantastic shape and if you get a local VIP card the best deal around. Interesting lay out with some testy par 3s and 5s.

Myself and a friend decided to play Hyland Hills in late March and WOW what an experience. The Lady at the desk was so friendly, along with all the staff and the course was awesome! Our pictures taking of the course were far better than our golfing scores lol. If you dont play this gem of a course, you are truly missing out.
