The upgrade is amazing. This will rapidly become a community destination. Beautiful park. ️
Very cool there are lots of unusual water plants here and plenty of wildlife also the view of the pond is beautiful
Limited parking, small but nice.
A beautiful park in Shoreline. I took my dog there for some serious ball fetching and the place was empty. We played till we couldnt play anymore.I think this place is overlooked a lot. Check it out during a weekday.
On the beaten path and off the beaten path kind of place
This is a great small park! My dog and I chased geese and got lost in the small bog trails. I had a great time! But the best part is the map layout, it helps you identify the species of plants within the park. The park is small, but barely has other vistors. Its a great saculed area where if you can tune put the loud freeway, it can be your own personal paradise.
Ronald Bog Park! Having grown up in Shoreline, I have seen many changes. This park stays very much the same, despite all the growth and whatnot, a fact that I truly appreciate. A wide open grass area, a calm lake, a pleasant forest path, and a location which is unique in that not many large green areas can be found so close to an interstate and other busy roads.
Ronald Bog: actually a pond, but it used to be a peat bog before the peat was harvested. Its never very busy, I dont usually see more than one or two people here at a time. Nice open space by the pond, but its usually muddy and covered in geese poop. The geese LOVE this park. There are a couple benches around the edge of the pond where you can sit. You can find blackberries in summer, and if you head into the grove of trees in the northwest corner theres a little trail where you have a nice view of the pond. I saw a heron there once.On the east side, towards the highway, theres a path that loops around maybe a dozen different trees and shrubs. I believe its called the conservatory. Theres a parking lot here.TL;DR - Overall, its not the greatest park but interesting enough to poke around a bit, and a nice quiet spot to stop and have lunch or read for a while.
Beautiful park, there is a trail if you decide to walk, geese for your dog to chase, and an amazing view, lots of trees, just gorgeous
Lots of ducks! Good place for senior photos
Small and within walking distance, neat for walking your dog. Bring baggies.
I bring the dog once in awhile to run free (psst dont tell anyone) as there is rarely anybody here. As mentioned by others the grass can be muddy and covered in goose poop. The park hosts two sculpture installations and the Pacific Northwest Conifer Arboretum (really just a little trail with several marked conifer specimens.) Its nice to have these little pockets of nature in our City of Shoreline. Keep in mind the parking lot is only accessible when driving eastbound on 175th.
Love this place. Its big and unpopulated with beautiful grounds and its an arboretum so the have signs identifying all the different trees and even the different types of underbrush.
I love this park its beautiful
I love this little park in the middle of the city. The best sunsets and beautiful reflections for pictures. The ground gets soggy in spots but it is a bog.
Loved to walk around.
Good place to fish and picnic
Home of the most polite homeless campers in Shoreline.
Nice place for a stroll.
Its ot much to look at..Or access.
Fun place to go. Great
The Weeping Willows near the waters edge are absolutely breathtaking.geese, ducks and turtles call the pond home while younger dogs enjoy swimming in it as well.older dogs can enjoy cooling their paws off by standing in it for a minute or few.benches near waters edge provide excellent view of ducks and geese .large open grassy area is great for everything from remote controlled vehicles to frisbee and boasts beautiful green grass blanketed by miniature daisies in early spring.a thatch roofed structure provides overhead coverage.east side of park and parking lot is where pnw coniferous mini forest and trash cans are located.many beautiful species and examples of evergreen trees dot the short, narrow, slightly gravelled trail that winds through the coniferous forest.a few blackberry bushes and Oregon grapes are present as well as many beautiful flowering shrubs outside of park on Meridian Ave.N.bus stop at park on the corner of 175th and Meridian.
Quiet park. Neat conifer arboretum. Turtles in summer.
Not badAlso spreading the wordGreat Danes of the PNW. Facebook page for local Great Danes
This is one of the nicest small parks and its nearly deserted
This is the remaining postage stamp sized remnant of a once vast bog wetland. So sad that this is all thats remaining.
