11/10! This is my Church! Well one of. I love it here. The intensity and the vigor that course through your veins. Some of the trails are a bit steep, so believe in yourself and power through because the views are always worth it. This peaceful spot makes you forget your only 15 minutes out of city limits.
Closed for public use and has been logged
I have always liked this place even since I was a child. There used to be a fireman tower you can climb. I imagine they removed it because it was dangerous but when we were kids that stuff was okay. I think its permanently closed shows theres hours on the weekend but I dont think so. Anyhow, its worth a look if theyre open I would take a walk or hike!
Love to go hiking here! The trails are so fun and there are beginner and intermediate trails. Just wish they didnt change to only Sundays!
I come here with my Grandparents all the time and I love it sm!!
One of the longest hikes that I have done couple times in the past was closed. Someone purchased the land and the sign said KEEP OUT. Definitely, without this hike its shorter hiking distance in the park. I though it was not nice to keep well developed hike with benches and views away from public use by the new owner. I think purchases like that should be allowed ONLY with permission of public use hike!
Decent hike. As usual, some dog owners contribute a bad to the rest of us who are responsible and respectful enough to pick up after our dogs and keep them leashed. Please, show a little decency and etiquette toward others. Thank you in advance.
Excellent venue for a beautiful wedding! The cabins were very useful as a staging area for the bride and groom parties. The staff was nice, helpful, and informative. Aside from a little trouble with yellow jackets (which are everywhere this year, so its not the venues fault), it was the perfect setting and we had a great time!
Very nice out-of-the-way yet close to civilization hike. Easy trails and plenty of shade under the tree canopy. Perfect for a hot and sunny day. Parking is free, too. Only thing is, the restrooms were locked even though it was during park hours. Bummer. We had to leave early because of that. Great place to have a walk in nature but dont drink too much water! ;)
Easy access from Wilsonville. Nice place for quick hikes. Theres water running through, a small hill to climb and with changes in tree density and canopy. Not too many critters. They are cool with dogs but please be well-behaved. They are thinking about disallowing dogs because of bad owners.
Lovely site! Few birds though. Trails could be better marked. Pleasant trails!
Great place for a short hike. Nice trails.
Awesome hiking! So peaceful and so many trees!!
Magness Tree Farm has quite a few great little hikes for my four-year old daughter and I. We went on a Saturday morning and only saw a handful of other people. Nothing breath-taking about the place but awesome for those who may not spend a whole lot of time outdoors or are limited physically. There were some pretty steep, long hills on the hike we did.
This place has a few good hiking trails with elevation. Not difficult hikes, but they will get your heart rate up. They offer two hiking route suggestions, one quick and one long one. They also have a few picnic areas and it looks like you can reserve an event space.
Magness is part of the World Forestry Council and the acres are devoted to growing trees for timber. There are hiking trails and picnic areas. One trail is paved and it is about a half mile loop; the paved trail is suitable for walking when trying to regain fitness after an illness. Dogs are allowed on leash. There is no user day fee. The gate closes at sundown. If you live near Newberg or Sherwood, you will enjoy walks or hikes here.
Nice venue for a wedding. Friendly staff. Dusty with less than convenient load/ unload
Its quite up their and a very peaceful place to walk alone or with family and friends.
Took the Cub Scout troop here and they all had a blast.
More shade and less people than the refuge and close to Sherwood. Other than that, not much to see, the trail is near the road in many places. The only thing that made this place special was exploring the trail along the creek that went past a waterfall, but that trail has been blocked off by the fun police. Now the tree farm is like every other mediocre trail in the Willamette Valley.
Used to hike here throughout the week. but now its only open sundays
Nice place to go for a small hike, i went once with a cousin and theirs a cool little water fall and the south fork corral creek runs through it.
Great hideaway close to townNice trails easy hike
Nice World Forest Center with clean portable bathrooms, trash cans, and picnic table area with lighting. Nice trails and creek as well.
This is a GREAT place to take kids to introduce them to nature and hiking. We just did 4 miles with kids 3, 7, & 9.We love this place!
A nice place to hike and have a picnic.
Awesome trails. This is a hidden gem nestled in the countryside between Wilsonville and Sherwood.
Park of what made it so special and unique was the firetower. I wish theyd rebuild it.
Very pretty. Great event venue! But not a good place for heels. Lololol.
Its peaceful & pretty here. It can make for a nice small hike.
Great place to go for easy family and dog friendly hiking. It is absolutely beautiful!
Beutfull, quit, streams, many descriptive, notes about many trees, plants, flowers, history.Nice parking, all very clean.
Always beautiful in every season. Never crowded but great for quiet reflective walks
Loved it so amazing.
Good for short hikes. It is rather hilly. Poison oak area is clearly marked.
Nice place for a short intense hike
It is a very nice place for a walk or picnic
A quiet, well-maintained hiking area less than a 15 minute drive from Tualatin. The paved path has been a great avenue for introducing my young kids (2 & 4) to nature this year. The paved path is short (~ .75 mile), but is packed with impressive trees, informative signs and plenty of wildlife (garter snakes, birds, crawfish in the streams, etc.)If you happen to be visiting on a clear day and make the approach on Edminston Road (via Wilsonville Road). there is an awe-inspiring vista of Mount Hood and Mount St. Helens from the road at the top of the hill near the vineyard.
Love this little getaway in the forest.
Great place for a quick hike.
