Nestled near the heart of Shelby is a pretty nice trail. It also links up with Ingles supermarket on Highway 74 West. Good for walking, running, and just being in nature.
Great trail. 2.85 from parking lot and back. 18 ft of incline
Almost fell off the train tracks to my death. 10/10 Would Recommend. The trails are really nice, and looked kept up. People come and go often but you dont see a large amount of people hiking and riding their bikes on the trails. I am currently sitting on a grey bench listening to the water rush down the stream. It is a very peaceful trail behind the Ingles of West Dixon Boulevard. The trail used to have gravel, but dirt and leaves over time have covered it. It is soft and nice to walk and ride on. There is a lot of greenery and there is a cool swing bridge over the creek. Families come here with their kids and people with their dogs. You should come.
Great little hike. Very easy trail that anyone could do.
Nice walking trail best to go in the am before it gets really hot out bring plenty of water with you family friendly
Great New Trail with lots of potential. Nice place to walk the dogs since traffic is still at a minimum....Im sure that will change as more people discover it. Love the suspended bridge. Nice job Thread trail builders! More building sure to follow after canoe launch is completed and hopefully restroom facilities are next on agenda. Also would make a great Hot Air Balloon launch area or future festival site!
Beautiful and easy walk even for small children. Great for mushroom hunts and small wildlife finds. Also a beautiful place for photo shoots.
We love This trail. It’s perfect for families with young children, they are able to walk the trail . It’s not difficult at all . It has a lot of scenery, and little bridges and things . The kids love it
Loved walking my dogs here
Not too far for most people. Runners probably will take a couple laps. Keep in mind you can run/walk across the parking lot and run the trail up to the road. Thats another mile, at least.
Nice easy trail bordering First broad river. Cool swinging bridge and nice benches. Good for all ages
Wonderful out door experience, short easy hike, bring the kids and the dog too
Fun and easy trail to walk
Many trails and great place to hike
Very nice. No bathroom though.
Excellent river trail. Well maintained.
Its clean and peaceful.
My favorite place to exercise
Wonderful trail that is well-maintained and a lovely walk. Great for a family hike or even a run. No water fountains, so come prepared!
Nice short trail,
Nice gravel trail by the river.
Nice area for a park but could use some sprucing up on areas ajecent to grassy areas.
Love it but not recommended travel
This walking trail was pretty much wiped out by flash floods back in March, and the city has closed the trail with no maintenance being done to it whatsoever. While part of the trail is accessible from Ingles two bridges have been destroyed and the trail itself is rapidly being grown over by plants.
Great for the family to get some exercise and experience nature.
Flat easy walk near the river
Love the bridge, trestle and river.
Very nice trail
It was relaxing and enjoyed spending time with my family. I wish my son would have went .
My dogs and I loved it! They were a little afraid of the bridge.
Cant wait to go back :)
I take my dog walking here a lot it is beautiful.
