Its beautiful!!!! Like gorgeous if you ever get the chance to stop there then gooooo! I love it i just moved here 2 months ago and have already been there like 6 times it is gorgeous. Great for swimming or hiking!

Nice and peaceful. Even has a playground off the trail for kids. The river is so nice.

Beautiful place to visit! Always clean, perfect place to take a kayak too. They have numerous grills to cook on, pavilions to eat at, benches as you walk the trails, countless spots to fish from including a pier. Even a little beach area for kids to go in the water safely. During the summer months they have visits bring out different animals and creatures to educate the public.

Since I’ve moved here this is my favorite place to come hang out and swim peaceful and away from the city

This is Phifer Cabin, one of the landmarks at this incredible greenway. Theres lots of well maintained trails, beach areas to picnic and enjoy the water, picnic tables and grills, a playground and restrooms. A great place to spend the day.

Weve been here before and its beautiful. Unfortunately because of covid it was closed today. Ranger was really nice on assisting us and giving us information.

The river trail is a very good walk out and back. Well maintained trails and great river views. There are picnic tables in several places alongside the trail. At one of the river view picnic tables there is also a bench swing overlooking river. Many more trails to explore and i will be going back.

Nice trails, beautiful and serene environment, and crystal clear, cold, water, along with some massive rocks! Take a cooler, picnic, etc... There are picnic tables all alongside the trails.

This place is great! There are picnic tables spread out all over the place; some with grills nearby. There are signs displaying information about the trees, plants, and wildlife. A great playground with picnic tables hidden down one of the trails. There is also a nice little fishing dock! Absolutely beautiful!

Been going since I was a teenager. They keep improving, adding trails etc. It really is a Greenway and natural area, so watch for snakes and biting insects. Sometimes the current can be swift, but generally a good place to go for hiking, casual swimming, etc.Part of the Carolina Thread Trail Network if youre exploring that.

Very nice place to bike but did manage to get two flat tires from this ride...and I do wish they would clear fallen trees from the paths...

Great family friendly place! The kids have so much fun when we go, they also have a playground, they love it! You can cook out, they have hiking trails, you can even bring your dogs as long as they stay on a leash. We venture there a lot during the summer!

I have been kayaking here and Ive taken my dogs for a hike on the beautiful trails. You should give it a try if you enjoy outside activities or just want to have a picnic.

Beautiful Trail. Bring $5 cash and a pen so you can pay the parking fee. Money goes in an envelope and you put your license # on the envelope.

Love this place, great for big famlies

Great place to go and just sit in a river. Its wide and shallow. Becareful because their is big rocks just underneath the water. I would advise wearing water shoes.

I love walking here. The atmosphere is absolutely mesmerizing. There are lots of different trails to take and you can have picnics as well as go swimming.

I think the $5 entry fee is over priced, due to the ammenites not being that great. A $3 fee would be reasonable, consdering the park doesnt have a lot of picnic tables, or places to have parties. The trails need to be maintained as in less dirt, roots, and slippery hills to walk on. Also, If you dont have the exact $5 fee, then you have to get change from somewhere before your visit, or drive a considerable distance to get it. Debit or credit cards arent accepted.

Lovely place to take your loved ones for the day. Theres picnic tables and grills,hiking trails, a fishing pier and sandy areas to get your feet wet! Very pretty and peaceful. Sunny and shady areas abound. A day pass to park is only $5!

Love this place. They have a new canoe put in, have not been to it yet though.

Im tempted to give this wonderful place a bad rating so I can have this hidden treasure all to myself. You will see dogs and horses while walking beside this beautiful river with the sounds of rapids as you go.

Awesome place to hike beside of broad river and has a playground area and multiple charcoal grill and tables along the path and also a swimming area just be watchful for snakes. Awesome place for a family day out.

Great trails. Saw a variety of wildlife, including a blue heron and a herd of 11 deer. Great trails with some being challenging and others being very easy. You can hike for hours and not repeat a trail.

We are so fortunate to live near the greenway; what a gem!

Great river!! They have a playground just for kids!! They also have grills!! Many people complain about the rocks and well yes there are rocks!! There are currents which some times get strong but other wise its very very beautiful!!! No other river like the brg!!!

This is a beautiful spot for a short walk or a picnic. I highly recommend it for some private time, date, or family outing. The only downfall is the parking fee. It used to be free...

Nice place to take a walk and enjoy nature. Theres a playground for kids. If you plan to picnic in the summer, watch out for bees, theyre everywhere!

For too long I didnt go to the broad river greenway then when I finally did I loved it but it was a month before I moved away from NC. Perhaps one day I can be close by and again enjoy the wonder and beauty that is there.

Awesome!! Loved this place! Peaceful trails; loved the picnic tables along the river. Only setback was there wasnt any paper maps to take with you. We were on the river trail to the left of the restrooms. At the end was two forks in the path, we started one and thought we were going deeper into the woods. No map, no compass, no cellsignal; was getting late, trying to figure time back to when park closes.. We need MAPS!Definitely will go back; we found our reading spot! Throw out a blanket, listen to the river, read a book, sunbathe, relaxation all at one time!

A great spot for easy hiking, horse trails, jogging, swimming, tubing, fishing, cook-outs, birthdays, and get-togethers. If it has rained a lot recently do stay clear however as the trails can get very muddy and wet.

Very nice day for a walk down by the riverside. And its always nicer with a friend.

Miles of beautiful trails and plant life, fishing dock, informative signs along trails, picnic and grilling areas, not a bad place to swim, bathroom on site.
