Wonderful place to visit to see that the Peidmont of NC had some famous country western singers that grew up in Shelby NC. Earl Scruggs became famous in this North Carolina town.

This museum is great. Its not too big so you can see it all in just an hour or so. Wednesdays are free for locals. The guides are the best! They love to chat and share info!

First class displays. I believe they worked with Smithsonian to create them. The interactive play-music console is great fun. A collection of antique Radios & TVs play episodes of radio & TV shows that Earl appeared. If you come to Shelby this is a must see.

The center itself is a nice looking place, but the sound system was not all that great. And when Pam Tillis was doing autographs, there should have been more order, like putting people in a single line!

My sister works there and she loves her job. She trained at one of the best schools in the country for cooking (Johnson and Wales University) and they hired her instantly to be Event Planner and Facility Rentals Coordinator! I am proud of her and love hearing her talk about all the fancy events and food she has prepared and whats next! Give this place a try, my sister wont let you down.
