Great trail. We’ve been out here many times but each is different. Fall is my favorite time and the most beautiful. It’s about 7 miles round trip. Busy trail.

Trails are not well marked. I would suggest you download the trail maps prior to getting there because cellular data is weak to non existing. Beautiful scenery and well maintained trails. Public facilities were available and the parking area is well kept..

Really cant beat this trail (and area overall). The scenery is fantastic, the trails are maintained and well indicated, and people are very friendly on the trails. A must see if you have the opportunity to hike or ride.

What a mystical place! Be sure to go to Boyton Vista to experience the Vortex full force. Most days Robert is there to play his magical flute. Enjoy it!

Out of all 4 known vortex hiking trails, Boynton is the coolest in shades and easiest, yet most pleasant in detail.. would definitely try it when the canyon runs water in creek alongside.. but, has to carry extra water for the distance.. ^&^

Easy to hike. Great place. Robert gave us heart shaped rocks. Those are awesome and beautiful. And if you go there in ten in the morning, you can hear some flute songs.

A nice six mile hike along the valley. Parking lot was full so we parked down the street which worked fine. Some crowd at the beginning but thinner out as we went. Some rocks on the trail so wear sturdy shoes. A nice feature is the change from a high dessert environment to a more deciduous forest. Nice view at the end

One of the best Sedona vortexes! Staggering desert beauty to be discovered and revered all along the Boynton trails. Majesty and magnificence will be your visit to this sacred, healing land of red rocks and upward spiraling earth vitality energy.

This is one of the four major vortices in the area. It is a little distant from the other three but worth the travel. Definitely my favorite out of all four. Can be somewhat difficult to find. If you have gone to Enchanted resort, youve gone too far. It is right before it on the right side. The trail is moderately difficult. You will need to exert some efdort and energy to get to the top. Once there, you will have a beautiful view of the canyon. This can be a perfect place for medtation since there are not as many people as at other locations. Also a great place for a picnic.

Because I love the hike on this trail I came back again this is my second time here! The last time I visited was 2 years ago! Famous Mr.Robert was there to entertain with his bamboo flute with his nice melody of love for all beings! Absolutely the most wonderful place to visit when visiting Sedona! There is two hike trails at the Boynton canyon. One is an 2/3 mile walk each to the end of the trail good for exercise and peaceful area. Other is a short 15/20 minutes walk trail that leads to the famous Male and Female energy receivable area! Must visit both if you have the chance!

Great Hike for Beginners! Here is what you need to know about this hike.#1. Get to the trailhead no later than 8am. Otherwise it will be too hot.#2. Wear sunscreen and bug spray and bring plenty of water.#3. One of my favorite parts about this hike is that it is mostly shaded, which is refreshing on a warm day (95 degrees).#4. Make sure to look up through the trees once in a while to see the beautiful red rock views.#5.There is NO WATER during the summer, so we hope to come back in the fall to do this hike again.

A nice hike. Its more shaded than most hikes in the region so good for late starters and hot sunny days.

PROS: Amazing views, cliff dwellings, wildlife viewing opportunities, well shaded (beyond resort)CONS: Borders a resort, heavy foot and helicopter traffic, minimal elevation gain, short distanceI gave this hiking trail 3 stars because it travels right next to a resort for the first mile or so and generally lacks solitude.Beyond the resort, the views get better as the canyon begins to branch out into Red Rock Secret Mtn. Wilderness.Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife like deer, javalina, and black bear. You can also spot ancient ruins up high in the cliffs, so bring binoculars if you have them.If you found this review useful please leave me a like. Happy Hiking!

A very nice, easy hike through desert and then forest once you get into the canyon. A perfect example of the differences in habitat you can see in Sedona. Be sure to make the final climb at the very end, the view is worth it.

Breathtaking view of the red rocks - various hiking trails and some offroad areas as well. Supposedly one of the strongest vortex areas in Sedona.

This was my favorite little hiking area right next to The Enchantment Resort. I had SO much energy in this area- IMHO- the vortexes are real. I even climbed on top of one after watching the much older flute player who hangs around the area, scurry up like a teenager. It’s my favorite, fun hike and the views are incredible.

Peace, beauty, reconnection with earth and self. I came with extreme COVID-19 anxiety that could not be handled by meditation, therapy and Xanax in LA. I hope this peace stays with me so I can go back to work and new normal ... and yes, there is a vortex and its energy is discernable.

From parking lot to end of trail and back again this is roughly 13km. Its a lovely mostly flat terrain trail, some small areas of climbing and ascending/descending. You hike through a forested area, past a hotel, between some mountains its all extremely enjoyable. At the end of the trail you have a chance to sit in an open area where youre surrounded by mountains and if you look way up there should be birds nesting on one of the rock faces. There are lots of butterflies, insects, lizards and apparently rattlesnakes along this trail so caution and watch your step. Worth hiking highly recommend it.

The trail head had a decent amount of parking spots (not like some other places around town), but I can imagine it gets busy at other times of the year. We walked up the vista trail, which had a bit of elevation but a fun climb. Nice views of the canyon rocks. There is a vortex spot up in this area too.We went back down and continued on the trail, it is relatively flat and easy walking for quite a way back into the canyon. Theres a resort area and its kinda ugly with a fence and buildings. Once you keep walking further there are some tall cliff walls on the side and you make it back into some taller trees, then it gets a bit cooler (eventually away from the resort). We didnt make it to the end, but it looks like it would be even better. Overall a pretty casual hike, nice plants and rocks.

Beautiful trail. Signs are poor since you have some choices to hike and I took the one that you have to return to the trailhead from its end. The other option is a round trail.

Very beautiful. If you want to experience a vortex this is the place to go in Sedona. You could feel the energy here. We met a lot of nice people on the trails here. Even though it was raining when we arrived we still went for our hike. I think the experience was even better while it was raining.

Great view at the top! Its a short hike so great views considering the ease. Climbing up to the top rock fixture is pretty fun for those who want a little more adventure. Theres a Sedona famous vortex here. I personally dont see it, but closing your eyes and meditating anywhere is good for you. Especially in such a beautiful area. Just know during the busy normal hours of the day theres other people around who might not respect that as much

Super easy access, although parking does fill up ($5). If it does, theres more for free at the Y intersection before pulling in. Wonderful trail only slightly marred by the resort. Dont let this deter you though. Shortly after it opens into the canyon and its well shaded and beautiful! At the end, be the mountain goat you know you are and explore - theres more than you think! Oh, and hit up the energy vortex on your way back

It doesnt get any better than this for solitude, and fall colors. As with other Sedona hikes finding parking can ve a challenge. While you need to get past the retreat community and the noise it creates, where you end up is jaw dropping enchantment and peaceful. Saw some javalina, but the fall colors (mid October) was stunning. Were full time hiking RVrs, blog link in bio.

Super pretty hiking area. Well signed so you dont have to worry about getting lost. Novice to experienced array of trails to choose from. My suggestion, when you get to an area where its just you and the landscape, take off your shoes and walk around barefoot for a little bit. Youll reconnect and be rejuvenated instantly.

Just okay. So much of the walk has the resort to your side which was super disappointing. Pretty hike, but not sure I’d recommend it or do it again.

Ju
Review №69

The start of the trail follows the back of a resort area so you dont really feel secluded, but once youre past that it feels like a true hiking trail. The trails are easy to follow but it would be nice to have mile or half-mile markers to keep track of where you are. The views are stunning and there is quite a bit of shade to help stay cool
