Was a beautiful fall day.

October 8, 2020 - boat ramp is being redone so bathroom area is closed as well. We’ve been to this park prior to today and it was well maintained but today the grass was up past my shins and there was damage to pavilion roofs allowing huge wasp nests to build inside to the point that some pavilions weren’t safe to sit under. Unfortunate because this is a really nice lakeside park and beach other times.

Lovely, well kept CLEAN spot to sit & relax in the sun, drop your boat in the lake or picnic with the kids! Quiet, nice family oriented crowd. Restrooms were spotless, grounds well groomed & FREE of TRASH! Not a HUGE spot, but perfectly nice for a quick trip to catch some rays & a dipRecommend a visit!

Nice public Veterans Beach Memorial ParkGood place to walk near beautiful Lake Jackson. It has several picnic areas, and a playground for fun.

Nice municipal park on Lake Jackson with good boat ramp facility and restrooms. Playground is fun for the children. Covered picnic benches provide shelter in inclement weather and there are plenty of water birds to enjoy. Nice memorial for our Purple Heart recipients also. Parking is ample.

Construction going on to update the boat ramp, so you cant put a boat in for now but the park area and picnic areas are open.

Labor Day weekend & I have this place all to myself. With Hurricane Dorian moving NW, straight towards us, most residents are battening down their homes & outside gear. Im picnicking.

My get away place if only for a few hours.

This is a small but wonderful park. Plenty of parking. There is a wide variety of wildlife present and the numerous picnic structures are really great. There is lots of shade and several beautiful, mature trees. This would be a great place for a birthday party or small family gathering.

I will update this review later now that I have sent complaints & frustrating images to who maintains this location. I find it embarrassing for our hometown city to maintain our boat ramp as this one has been. All I will say right now is hopefully it will improve. Best 2 pics added to post. Ill save the rest for now, given opportunity.

Nice and clean lakefront location, with accessible boat ramp. Bring hand sanitizer or soap as the bathrooms have neither. A good number of available pavilions for use and a playground for the kids. No cost for entry or parking.

Park seemed to be under construction possibly having the utilities worked on... Terrible smelling mud(?) everywhere....

Very beautiful park.

When we are in town we enjoy sitting here by the lake and listening to the water, birds and other critters. Its always fun to watch the boats come and go as well.

Saw this area on trail app for biking. The route around the lake is ruff sidewalk. There was a bike lane on West side. I stayed on sidewalk as people drive like they have a death wish down here. Cant tell you the number of beer bottles have just missed my head riding in the bike lane and that was 25 years ago. The park itself is very nice.

This was a weekly stop for me. It was an awesome memorial to meet others alike. God bless America.

I love the peace and quite, at this place, was able to put my pole in water, didnt catch anything, but I was with my favorite guy, my husband, my friend, so it was worth the stop.

The memorial is well done. The park is beautiful since its Renovations. But they dont have enough for smaller kids. Every done the talk really well to a nice place to spend the day!

It needs some TLC.. and a play ground for the smaller kids.. other than that it was nice having a small place to go to in the area..

We park here and Walk in the mornings as the beautiful sun rises over the lake. Plus it has the only public boat ramp to Lake Jackson!

Its a good place to take the kids to play and they have pavilion the adults can sit and watch them and socialize.

Nice park right on the lake and clean. Bathrooms could use updated lighting they are very dim and swim area could use a sandy beach area for kids to play in.

I love the pavilion and the view is second to none of Lake Jackson... but the bathrooms are not the best... with poor interior lighting

Beautiful view of Lake Jackson. Restrooms and surrounding areas clean and well maintained. All around very nice park.

Very nice park. There is ample parking for both truck and trailer and cars. The boat ramp serves 2 at a time and is a very modern ramp. The beach and swimming area is perfect for children. There are 2 larger pavilions and 6 smaller ones with picnic tables and grilles. There are restroom facilities as well. As a nice touch, there is even a bike repair station with tools provided!

Nice place the kids to play and have a cook out. No water fountains so bring your own drinks.

Nice swimming area and lots of picnic tables. I was here early in the morning and the sunrise was spectacular! It has two boat ramps but truck and trailer parking looked a little crowded.

We bought a sub from Jersey Mikes and went over to Veterans Park, overlooking Lake Jackson. It was a beautiful day, the birds were looking for food, but didnt come on the table. Just a gorgeous day.

Walk by there virtually every day. Nice little park with picnic tables, grills, and kids playground equipment. Also a nice memorial to our Veterans and a reminder to never forget our Prisoners of War/Missing in Action.

They have grills and covered tables as well as public restroom. Boat ramp, playground. Great place for parties

Good place to go. Relax and look at the beautiful lake. If you have a boat its a place to go. Fishing is not that great. But you can find it relatively nice

Its really an awesome park. They really need to spend some money on repair.... it is coming, but wayyyyy too slowly.

A place mainly for putting your boat in the water. Very scenic location. Free parking.

Tiny beach on the fresh water lake, very shallow. Lots of nice picnic shelters. Bike maintenance supply post, with air pump and most common tools you would need to do enjoy route repair s. Boat launch ramp.

Nice family oriented place. Well maintained with multiple gazebos for shade and picinicing. Plenty of parking. Bathrooms are available. Worth checking out if youre in the area looking for light hearted fun in the sun.

Not much for small kids to do. 5 and up is the ages youd want your kids to be so they can play.

Small playground but my daughter loved it. Theres some fun obstacles for parents too.

I hate that a lot of the area will hold water making the pavement slick and the grass really mushy and gross but other than that we love going to Veterans Beach. The playground area really isnt toddler friendly its better for kids a little older.

The park no longer has swings and has a lot of suspicious people lurking around. I dont feel this is a safe place to bring my child anymore

Great park for the kids, plenty of pavilions for shade many picnic tables and benches for all of your gathering needs, bathrooms. Great view of the lake, perfect to ait on the picnic bench and watch the boats dock
