The trails are marked, but the trail map is not accurate and detailed enough. Be careful on north trails as you can get lost. A good APP to use is All Trails. During rain season most of the trails are flooded and muddy.
Great voyages to be had here!! And I love the different sceneries on the variety of trails!! However when I brought my dogs back and bathed then they had ticks ALL over them so definitely inspect them after!
Walked over 5 miles in this preserve and still didnt see all of it. Convenient (but small) parking lot. Saw a variety of bird species, an armadillo, and a couple of gators.

Beautiful trails that are easily navigated and marked. Plenty of nature experiences and even some geocaching around to make the hike more adventurous!
Very nice trails, from wide stretches of grass to a thin foot path. There are spiders deep into some of the smaller sections though.
A wonderful place to see unspoiled nature. Be careful to stay on the trails. Its easy to get lost if you dont know your way around.
Sun N Lake Preserve is a beautiful Highlands County Preserve of 1,350 acres. A great place for fishing, hiking, bird watching, wildlife photography and off-road biking. The biking trails look challenging with creeks to cross on narrow bridges. Thank you to the people of Highlands County!
Beautiful trails, but wearing pants for the hike wouldnt be a bad idea. Lots of wildlife in your backyard.
Great place. Me and my dog walk the trails 5 days a week. Only thing is needs a little trimming around some of the trails.
