When I saw this place together with my two kids, I was encouraged to let them play alone for I knew that the place was safe. I was enjoyed watching them for they were wearing gear as a scientist and they were able to use the toy apparatus for the experimentation. I could conclude that my kids are really good. I was so appreciative! You make this game great learning yet enjoyable!

Fun place to visit with the little guy. Usually not very crowded on weekdays and a good place to make new friends. We started coming here when he was 13 months. Staff are always friendly. Taking a star off because many of the exhibits seem pretty dated and need of an update. At the same time that’s kind of what gives the museum some of its charm (you feel like you are going back in time). They seem to take care of what they have as most everything is in good working order.

I feel why I missed to visit this place earlier..may be because of my little one. This place is just next to the Space Needle downtown Seattle, and have very different experience of commute using monorail if you decide to take transit..I loved the way the things are organized and the things they included in museum is mix of all flavours which kids from any family might like it doing at home daily..say it playarea with slides and puzzles..a fan of cooking.. fan of shopping ...a stage performer .. have interest in trying hands on with been doctor..fire fighter..postman.. transit driver..I am sure you kid must be doing one of this if they are between 1-10 yrs which is the restrictions of this museum on kids age allowed here..Being a parent I think we also get a chance to explore things and places like this.I would definitely recommend you or your friends to visit this place and have kids have blast of the world live in there mind..Again thanks for those who built in such effective way.Price?? Not much compared to the fun your kid will have over there..

Closed during Covid though there was no mention on the website, allowed us to purchase tickets for $36 and no way of contacting the company for a refund. Incredibly rude and inconvenient when trying to plan a family fun trip. Seriously why would it not mention this on the website or even when you call?? Would not recommend.

Fun filled activities for kids of all ages. My nephew had super fun here. They have kid version of opticians, super market, cages where kids can dress up like doctor, fireman, construction worker. They have many activities planned for kids as well like story telling, basket weaving, bracelet making etc.

My son had a wonderful time visiting the childrens museum. It was easy to fine. We paid 20 dollars for parking because I didnt know about the 1 dollar parking at a garage near by. Luckily, we have a membership thanks to a friend but I feel that it is way overpriced, especially considering that the parents are just going for their kids. This center is fun and educational and offers children a variety of ways to grow and learn about the world in a fun way. I love that they provide activities throughout the day like storytime and yoga as well. The museum we clean and well laid out and the staff were all very cordial.

We saw this museum on Blippys youtube channel and thought it would be amazing to visit! So we drove up from central oregon just to see it. 1. Personally not worth the drive. 2. A lot of the make believe areas lacked play items ( we were sure to ask if it was stocked before we bought the tickets and was told it was fully stocked! ). 3. Too expensive for the lack of play items, the playground outside was way more entertaining and it was FREE. The museum is cute for super little kids. My daughter just turned 4 and got board pretty quick. My son is 8, and thought it was okay. It took us about an hour to do everything in the museum. It cost over $80 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Wish we put it towards another museum in the area.... best of luck if you try it out.

We spent a solid few hours playing around in the Seattle Childrens Museum. My kids are both 3, and loved all the different spaces they could interact in and play. Theyre favorite spaces were the different countries and cultures area, especially Japan with the train car, the traditional house set up, and cool vending machine, as well as the forest area. Well definitely come back and play again another day.

Went there today to blow a few hours before nap time and my 16 month old had a great time running around and playing with other kids. From the armory, you can view the glamorous outdoorsy section of the museum. Its centrally located, with a bunch of smaller themes sections around it. The majority of the other sections felt... dingy and old. But the kiddo loved it all! There was a sign posted explaining the different monthly themes, but there was absolutely zero themed displays or decorations. Probably something they once started and just havent kept up with - which matches the condition of most of the displays and objects.I was impressed with the town which was a bunch of small themed stores (post office, fire station, grocery store, burger cafe, eye glass store, and theatre) each of which had a mailbox for someone fully committed to the post office experience. Some of the stores had outfits to wear as well. Lots of interactive play and objects that can be played with. The worst were the homes from around the world. The first one felt like a third-world home cop-out because of how used and shoddy everything was. In fact, the best one was because a display was obviously busted and the kids could get access to the food bits to play with (the rest is behind plastic, preventing actual play). The few items kids could play with were severely limited in quantity and in really poor condition.Honestly, I dont think its worth a membership. This is once-a-quarter trip worthy, and Groupon has amazing deals on single visits.

Could use more activities. Had to pay full price for my child (1.5) who spent a lot of time watching other kids play. Only 2 trains on the train set. Only one car. Only one control station in the theater. Visit the world in make believe houses - nothing to do but look & imagine. The mini grocery with plastic fruit was nice & hands on, but as one of the few hands-on exhibits it was crowded. The 0-3 play area is largely decorative with only a couple things to play on- so if theres more than two tots there its occupied.

It may be a large space, but felt smaller than other kids museums weve been to because a lot of the rooms were kind of empty. This museum is very dated. It is still the same as I remember it as a kid. There are a lot of role play areas which could be fun for some kids, but there are not a lot of toys or props to role play with especially in the multicultural houses that take up a huge part of the museum. It would be great if they updated it to include more interactive hands on activities like the surrounding childens museums in Olympia, Bellevue and Everett etc. My 3 sons ages 10, 7 and 4 took less than one hour to go through everything and they were asking to leave. At the Hands on Museum in Olympia, we were there for close to 4 hours and they still didnt want to leave. The bathrooms had kid friendly size door handles, toilets and sinks which is really appreciated.I think it is more fun for little ones under 3 because there are some designated areas for them.

Visited here with my two children, aged five and one, last year when we first moved to Seattle and was looking for things to do. Frankly, I was underwhelmed, considering the time and cost it took to drive to downtown, find parking, ride the monorail, etc. Many of the displays were missing parts or broken, the “world village” was more of a ghost town and had nothing to interact with. When we went, the place was filled with barely-supervised school field trip kids that were swarming the few areas not broken. All in all, we spent maybe 40 minutes there. Certainly not worth the effort and cost to get there. The most enjoyable part was riding the monorail to and from the museum.Maybe they’ve updated it since we visited. But I won’t be returning any time soon.
