We came here for our anniversary and really did not know what to expect, but this was probably one the best anniversaries ever. We did the Evil Dead room and there was so much detail that is was mind blowing. We will definitely be back!
We had such a blast! Our host was awesome! We will be back to try other rooms! Absolutely recommend this place!!
Just played Evil Dead 2 and loved it! Our game master Seth was super nice and helpful and had great character work that really sold the experience!
Ghostly Gallion was our first ever escape room. My sister and our spouses went and we had so much fun! Very cool room, the puzzles were challenging and interesting! Cool surprises with the puzzles. The staff was so friendly and we will be going back for other rooms in the future. It’s open during COVID, they will check your temp, and you will have to wear a mask during the hour in the room. Even so, very fun and worth it!
We had the best time! It was extremely well thought out.
This is one of the best escape room places Ive ever been to! We did the Evil Dead 2 escape room and it was so true to the movies that some clues we were able to sort out just from our knowledge of the movies! Fantastic decor, clever puzzles, and an amazing attention to detail!I definitely want to check out the mummy one next as I hear it is their best one.I highly recommend Hourglass Escapes to anyone looking for an awesome experience!
I took a group of 5 to the Evil Dead escape room for my birthday. Were seasoned nerds, and even though we solved it early, the whole experience was a blast. There was plenty of content to experience, with nothing necessary to remember from the film itself. It was full of easter eggs from the Evil Dead series, so if youre a fan, youll get a lot of bang for your buck! Great immersion into the story, and we never came to a dead stop without direction of what to do next (I hate when there are too many red herrings in a room).
My experience here was amazing. Upon entering the building our room leader made sure we were all checked in and knew what to expect. Once in the room you can tell they take a lot of time to ensure you have a great experience. My office went here for team bonding and we plan to come back :)
The staff here have been unbelievably helpful answering questions and getting my group rescheduled. They have been understanding and always responded quickly. Such a pleasure to deal with.
It feels like youre in a movie set room at Universal Studios, except that youre allowed to interact with and touch everything! This was my third foray into playing an Escape Room, and it did not disappoint. Our group was blown away at the puzzle props, music, and tech used in the room. Rise of the Mad Pharaoh is an immersive, superfun mind-bender, and it executes the Mummy adventure/mystery theme flawlessly. It is challenging and I recommend taking a group of 6-8.
We went to the Evil Dead Escape Room and it was awesome, so much fun with our group racing against the clock to figure out all the clues. There are a lot of easter eggs and nods to the movie, it was a delight. I highly recommend it, and Im looking forward to the Innsmouth one. Our host was fun and knowledgeable too, and helped cement our enjoyment of the experience.Thank you Hourglass Escapes !
I played online version of the Evil Dead 2 Escape Room Game.Very exciting time I had!Thank you so much!!
We love it and had a great time
This was my first escapee room experience. I’ve been a die hard Evil Dead fan since I was a kid and I have to say I was not disappointed on either front. You don’t have to be a fan of the films to enjoy the room but if you are, you’ll be pleased with all of the wonderful Easter eggs throughout. And it was a blast. What a first experience! Great staff, truly immersive, challenging and fun. I would recommend this to anyone as a fun challenge and will absolutely be coming back for a sequel.
The puzzles were great! And the videos to compliment the story were quite professional. Well thought out.
My boyfriend and I did the Evil Dead 2 escape room. We had a great time! The puzzles were fun and not too hard or easy. I have not seen the movie and I still enjoyed it. My boyfriend is a massive fan and he got a geeky and excited! The guy who helped us was also very nice! I definitely recommend it!
Very impressed with this place! Did the Evil Dead escape room, and found the staff was engaged, puzzles were clever but non-linear, everything worked, high production values, and it was lovingly thematic with tons of easter eggs for those of us who loved the movie. Great experience!
Best Escape Room been too so far! Extremely impressed with the detail of the set. Highly recommend the Evil Dead 2 one
Very fun place, reasonable prices! We did the Ghostly escape room, and it was absolutely awesome! Its definitely challenging, so if youre into challenges, give it a shot, you wont be disappointed! However, four stars because it is hard to find, as there is no signs nearby the building pointing to the correct location.
Did the Evil Dead 2 experience. Hourglass was very accommodating, the Escape was very fun, and they give a tour of the rooms Easter eggs for Evil Dead fans. Basically a flawless experience.
We celebrated my daughters birthday and had great fun. Its not easy to find an activity for teens where they let go of their cell phones and interact with each other. This perfectly did the trick. It was awesome seeing them looking for clues and solving them together. The staff was helpful when needed but only when needed which was great, and gave them the satisfaction to solve the puzzle with a few extra minutes. The artifacts were truly beautiful and full of surprises, none scary. While our group of teens was able to solve all the puzzles, they were definitely challenging enough for adults too.
So much fun! We loved the Evil Dead room! Not claustrophobic at all and the puzzles are great. A must for horror fans!
Definitely a hard intense escape room with a lot of puzzles, didnt finish but had a good time
Had an amazing experience with our friends. One of the few places that allowed for a group of 8. The rise of the mad pharaoh was great.
SO MUCH FUN! A group of friends and I escaped from the Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn room. You can tell it was created by real fans of the movie and it appealed to both escape room and Evil Dead fans. Most of us were first-timers and we had a blast! I wouldnt be surprised if we returned for another one of their rooms.
So much fun. The employees were chill af. They helped to give us the best experience.
We did Tales of the Ghostly Galleon. It was...not very exciting. There were a few interesting puzzles, but it felt like we had to do a lot of reading. The room was littered with interesting props, but very few of them had to do with the puzzle - most had a sticker on them saying they werent used for any puzzles, which kind of ruined the immersion. The hosts were very nice (they gave us some extra time at the end because there was no group after us), but this was overall a pretty simple, low-tech escape room.
Unbelievable fun! Hourglasss escape rooms are super difficult, challenging, and entertaining. Will definitely be coming back for the Evil Dead room!
We had a work event here. It was fun! It absolutely required communication, thinking and teamwork! The room was hot and stuffy even with the portable air-conditioner on. The specific room listed 8 people max, we had 9, I would say 6 would be a more comfortable number.
Lots of fun. Get a group! Definitely need to work together! Would recommend.
The evil dead puzzle room was great. Even though we only had 2 or the possible 6 people allowed it went well. The staff was amazing and friendly! Will go back for additional adventures
The Evil Dead 2 room is legitimately one of the best escape rooms Ive experienced. My group had die hard fans of the film and others who barely knew it and we all had a great time.
Had a lot of fun doing the evil dead escape room! Will definitely come back for another.
Such a great escape room. Lots of detail and if you love evil dead its even better.
They were little disorganized but they definitely made up for their mistake! we never did get through the three room escape room that they put us in after they had put somebody else (they thought was us) in the room we were supposed to be in.. but it was all good, it worked out
Super friendly owner and the staff were very enthusiastic. Fun atmosphere and the guys running it made you feel very welcome
Absolutely A+ Puzzle Room - the clues, timing, professionalism were all on point. It was a super realistic room with fantastic ambience, great characters, and varied and challenging puzzles. Our Ensign, Sara, kept her cool and even the secondary clues were still puzzles to keep us guessing. The theme was evident in every detail and its clear that Hourglass Escapes goes the extra mile to make it an amazing experience. I would definitely go back, and I cant wait to try their other puzzle room.
Well setup and great staff. Had a lot of fun on a corporate outting here. They have different levels of difficulty for each room and various themes to fit whatever your group enjoys. The puzzles are hard but not crazy and the production are them are very good quality.
I had never been to an escape room even before so it was a treat to go with my coworkers as part of an after work outing. The experience there was super fun; the puzzles were the right amount of difficult that meant we had to talk to each other for help with any clues we had that may hold the answers. The staff were super into the scenario where it became believable that they were part of the experience but also out of the way enough that you could focus on the puzzle yourself without feeling like they were hovering. If your looking for a place to have a fun adventure with friends, family or even your coworkers, Come and visit here for sure!
Sarah was our guide for the Pharaoh trap room. She was great, helpful, enthusiastic and all around a great tour guide. Rooms were challenging and in then end, after time ran out, the guide gave us a few minutes to solve the room. It was very fulfilling. I recommend this escape room to everyone.
The Y2K room was super fun and David was awesome! This was the first escape room I’ve ever done and I would definitely go back for the Mad Pharoah experience! Was also very reasonably priced compared to other options. Recommend 10/10 for rookie escapees!
Great attention to details and very good and fun puzzles
Evil Dead 2 room was awesome! Huge fan of the film.
I had a blast! This was my first escape room (came with 9 other friends so 10 in total) and it was super fun. You get a background which helps with immersion and the props were very good. You absolutely cannot just accidentally find the answer like I thought puzzle rooms might have been like. Very well thought out. :)
Took a group of mixed ages to help the doctor escape the pharoahs tomb. Just made it! Very fun experience. The staff was awesome! Think we needed one clue to get us out. Very well done, will be back for more!
The Pharaohs escape room was excellent. Michael was a fantastic guide, too. Our group of 5 barely escaped, which made the whole thing just that much more exciting!
The Evil Dead escape room was awesome! Puzzles were just the right amount of challenge, and the staff were helpful and friendly!
Just finished Hourglasss newest escape room (Evil Dead 2). Im always a fan of Seths escape rooms, especially what he gets done with prosthetics and live actors. Here in particular both of those elements go into extreme effect setting the immersion above and beyond most escape rooms.Special shout outs to the actor he got for Ash (Google tells me its Donal Thoms-Capello) for making the experience feel very cinematic as well as the fun way Hourglass brought the character into the game.Strongly recommend Hourglass as a whole and the Evil Dead room in particular. Grab a group of friends, Rewatch Evil Dead 2 and head out for the official escape room!
Very fun, enjoyed this activity as a first time escape room participant
Did the mad pharaoh escape room with a group of 10. It was a great escape room with a cool video intro. However, the staff member with our group spent several minutes in the beginning going over stuff that ended up being in the video and making us share the hints on our nametags which ended up not being necessary. I would also have preferred not to have a staff member in the room. They let us preview the pirate room at the end, and it looks very nice as well. However, we probably wont be back due to the staff things mentioned above.
Loved the ambience and how friendly the staff was! I went there with close friends and coworkers. An hour went by so quick! Wish the flash light was a bit brighter but loses no points there! Thanks for the wonderful time!
We did the Egyptian Room. It was fun and if you like Egyptian lor this room is perfect. The game master, in character, was in the room, creating a different experience and kinda cool, kept us going very nicely. Well made props that worked, which is a big plus. Would recommend doing this room if you enjoy puzzles.
Our group went and solved the room a couple months back. Great story and puzzles overall. It was a good challenge! Definitely would consider trying out another room in the future! There were some symbols that were designed just too similarly though, so we wasted some time trying to call out the differences to the group so the correct ones could be handed across the room. It was like trying to play a picture version of Telephone. Some colors too (seems to be a consistent problem with a couple of the rooms weve played though, where differentiating colors in dim light was part of the puzzle).Another puzzle kind of relies on having good vision and good light to solve. We solved that puzzle by chance prior to figuring out the guide fortunately, so we wound up not having to struggle through the whole puzzle as we wound up visually guessing and not using all the parts due to the lighting difficulties. The room for this puzzle is on the snug side, so if someone in your group needs space to work, this might not be the room for them unless you dont max out the player numbers for the room. I think we had 7?Parking is street only, though I heard there was a parking garage nearby. Carpooling recommended.First puzzle is spotting the entry door from the street! Its one of those units thats sharing a hallway entry with other businesses, so watch for an inset door. Theres not a whole lot outside thats obvious, so having a co-pilot with you to watch for it will help.
Fantastic experience. Our host was on top of things, the puzzle was challenging and fun for the 8 of us. The location downtown allowed for quality dining beforehand. Highly recommended!
Ran the underwater adventure with a crew of strangers and won!Knowledgeable staff helped when appropriate and let us figure things out.I thought this adventure was great for newcomers to Escape rooms but might have not been very challenging for an experienced crew.Would try their other adventures!
Best escape rooms Ive ever been to
1. Decent escape rooms2. Good customer service3. Friendly owners/workers
My party was a little on the small side, but the puzzles were that just right balance of interesting, difficult, and entertaining! We managed to make it through with the help of our awesome Curator. A very successful escape room, and looking forward to trying more in the future!
The rooms have great attention to detail. You know they worked hard on these rooms!
Id been dying to do an escape room for a while, and Rise of the Mad Pharaoh was a wonderful first-time adventure! Its difficult, but every ah ha! moment is exhilarating, and with every team member having their own role, everyone gets to contribute and have their moment of discovery. The sarcophagus that Hourglass built for this escape room is so cool and intricate and impressive! Definitely check it out!
Awesome puzzle, was able to complete but only just in time. Beautiful props with real production value. More creative than other rooms Ive played. Great staff - they stayed open and allowed us to play with fewer than the minimum rather than cancelling.
The Escape Room was so much fun! It was really exciting when we unlocked one clue & were able to move on to the next- we cheered every time lol. We didnt solve the puzzle in time but the attendant was so kind to give us some extra time (and lots of hints) at the end to have our victory! I would highly recommend this adventure!
Friendly, helpful, and considerate staff, wonderfully crafted experience, loads of laughs for the whole group!
My wife and friends did the Pharaoh escape room on our vacation. It was a lot of fun! Definitely had some tough puzzles. Id do another next time Im back in Seattle.
We did the Rise of the Mad Pharaoh. The room was okay. The weirdest part was the clue master sitting in the room with us the whole time. He struggled with the equipment (a lot), part of the prop didnt work, the video didnt work, the timer didnt work, the sound quality on the video was terrible... It was okay.
The room was surprisingly fun. Brian was a really good guy, gave us a bit extra time in the end to finish. The 1999 virus room was a blast!
Really fun and surprisingly challenging! We needed a few extra minutes which the gal obliged us. Really clever and interesting lay out. We intend to return for their other rooms soon!
Had a super time! Great challenges - but not too hard. Fun for everyone and their mummy.
Best escape room in Seattle. Very thematic from start to finish! Supported by great sound and video effects. Ive played all the rooms in Seattle, I have to say I am really looking forward to what these folk have in store next.
Very fun escape room with beautiful, immersive atmosphere! Puzzles are challenging but not unfair. Great for families on a trip, team building or something new to do on your day off.
It was tons of fun. At first I thought I wouldnt get into it but by the end the adrenaline and immersion was real.
Got our butts kicked, but the puzzles were fun, and the production value is really high. All of the props and the sarcophagus looked great and had really unique interactions. Super cool effects.
My group completed Tomb of the Mad Pharaoh with 5 minutes to spare. A really inventive puzzle room, would highly recommend in a medium to large group (6-10)
Super fun, we completed the pharoes tomb in time. Awesome puzzle with cool surprises.
The escape room was very challenging and had a unique way to get to more clues. I would highly recommend this escape room!
Great setup. Interesting props
We had so much fun here! Our team is definitely returning again!
Awesome time for my family and I.
Staff was friendly and played in character very well. Room was fun and the concept kept it interesting.
SO fun and exciting!! I love that it can be just you and your friends. Challenging but accomplishable! Very theatrical and invites you into the atmosphere they created for the challenge. Does require teamwork and a fun heart! I would truly recommend this experience!! You can tell Seth and his other creators care about your experience and have truly created something out of a movie or out of disney world! Thank YOUUUUU!! I will back back for every single one you do.
Fantastic time!!! So much fun!!!
First time any of us had been to an escape room. We solved the puzzle with 1:42 left on the clock. Im hooked.
Staff was friendly and my group had a great time.
Great place to come with friends. Staff is very friendly.
Great puzzle room! We didnt make it out but we had a lot of fun trying!
Very fun!
So much fun !!!
Hard
Good challenge
Very fun and challenging!
Great experience!
Amazing fun!
Very fun, was worried it would be a bit goofy, but had a blast. :)
