Spent a good few hours here on our last evening in Seattle. Loved the selection of arcade games in here!
For starters I do not enjoy this place and have gone to multiple events or parties held here. Food, bland and overpriced. Staff is good and usually has a spunky and nice attitude. Bar prices are overpriced here, but being next to the convention center I get it.Lots of kids running around on the main floor, very family friendly. Bathrooms have keypad locks on them, you have to get code from an employee. Bathrooms were a mess when I went last.Top floor is open to events and/parties, plenty of space for upwards of 120 people. It does have another bar up there with a cool balcony overlooking the first floor. Will I be back? Yes, probably. Will I enjoy it?
Came in on a Sunday 12:30 and it wasnt too crowded. They have the classic arcade games but after two or three loops around the place, it gets a little tired. I would probably spend a max of one hour here, which is more than plenty. They have a bar and pizza/snacks so I can see how families could spend half a day here but there are definitely better arcades out there. Location is convenient though.
Let me start with a few positives. This place is super fun to go to! My kids had a blast! Food was phenomenal. But the negatives.. my family and I went into the restaurant portion today and were completely ignored by 2 different waitstaff while looking for a table. I eventually bussed my own table and got menus for us since there were 5 empty tables when we arrived. Then it took 15 minutes before we were even acknowledged and offered drinks. The waiter completely ignored us after taking our order and it took almost an hour to get our food. I was left to find my toddler a highchair as well since we were not offered one the entire time we were there. I should not have to bus my own table at a restaurant and when paying these prices I expect a at least somewhat attentive waiter. Then to top it off my son lost his jacket there and when I went to confront the front desk to see if anyone turned it in I was ignored for multiple minutes before the people behind the desk stopped chatting with each other to realize I was there. The whole thing left a sour taste in my mouth I paid for my whole family to have day passes (4 total) and was completely ignored whenever I needed anything. That hurt and Im unsure if we will be returning.
I had no idea that GameWorks offered a venue to play local and online games for free on Tuesdays. My friends and I had gone to play Super Smash Bros Ultimate (expecting a tournament) but we had instead found a small local scene meeting up just playing friendlies, which was nice.We had also noticed a small scene playing Monster Hunter World and various other online games. That alone is enough to bring me back.
Its cool but there always seems to be one or two broken games
The first GameWorks I visited was in Miami, and that location was prime. The Seattle location seems out of place and lacks many upgrades making most of the gaming options outdated or simply janky.Back in the day, SEGA Sami owned the rights, then it was sold and downhill it gradually went. The downstairs (first floor) bar added some much needed atmosphere, though, it took away some gaming real state.
Had lot of fun at this place. It has decent bar and a good pizzeria. Good place to hang out with groups. There are lots of fun group games such as car racing, air hockey
This place was awesome! Im from the other side of the state and came over expecting just an arcade with some bar food. What I got was a multi story arcade with its own kitchen. The food was really tasty, the drinks were really top notch, and the games were a lot of goofy fun. Definitely will be coming back.
I had so so much fun! Lots of different games and different styles of games *shooter games, VR, dance dance* a bit of everything for every one! Very family friendly and the food was delicious! So were the drinks, the bartender was great and very informative on drinks and tastes so I wasnt stuck with something i didnt like *which tends to happen if I try something new*. I had my first fried green tomato too and that was mind blowing!
Pretty good selection of games, bar upstairs along with PC and console gaming area upstairs. Lots of fun! Loses a star from always running into a machine that just eats credits
Gotta love going into this place for the new upcoming games, kind of like daves. But the area is spread out for comfort and kids have a great time as well as the adults to. They have food up stairs and drinks can be bought for adults.
A bit over stimulating for my liking. Also hard when having to share a time card with someone that youre trying to play with as you have to wait at least 90 seconds between swipes. The food also wasnt anything to write home for- left overs were thrown away.
Great place to get reacquainted with those retro vid games & get an intro to the new ones. I have no interactive video skills & still had a blast! Fun for the whole family.
This place is just sad now. Ive lived downtown for years and have watched Gameworks degrade over time. The only games they seem to maintain are the ticket games. Its really frustrating to try and play a two person shooting game, only to watch the targeting cursor jump all over the screen. Or to sit in a a vehicle game and have a broken joystick.Went tonight with a friend tonight, and seriously, this will be the last time I get ripped off by this place. Yeah, I know, theyre just games. Games that I paid money to play.Seriously, plan a bit ahead and go to the arcade in Lincoln Square in Bellevue. The games are maintained, they have a bar with food, pool tables and the owners at least seem to care. The attached pictures are just an example. Things are much worse:The Sopranos pinball machine - right flippers are broken.Star Wars Arcade - joystick is broken.Frogger - joystick is broken.Terminator Salvation - first player gun cant shoot the right side of the screen, cursor jumps all over the place.Time Crisis - left gun trigger doesnt work, right gun only some of the time.Others were broken, as well. Glad I only dropped $20.00. Just avoid, there are better, cheaper places to play games and get beer and food.
Its a really cool environment. Ive gone there a bunch since I was a kid. Im a little salty about one of the prize games being rigged (the one where you try to put the key in the lock), but that wasnt on Game Works for including that. Still 5 stars
Fun & games in downtown Seattle! Good times, well maintained, ideal for family fun. Good neighborhood, clean and well lit, safe for everyone.
Honestly a great time for every age group.A good responsible time to have a couple drinks and also... Your DD stays very entertained and should have a great time if the group likes games .!
Lots of fun for various ages. Most of the employees are Deaf friendly, have only had one bad interaction in the multiple times Ive visited. Also, really good with kids on the autism spectrum...my kiddo became overwhelmed and one of the employees stopped what they were doing to try to help them out. So, overall good customer service and fun games. Food is a bit over priced, but there are other places close by that are more reasonably priced.
It is a great arcade! Customer service is top notch! I get here once a month and the food is expensive, but worth it!!
Not much has changed here for quite a while. truly we had more fun on the pinball machines than all else combined, too bad so many are out of order. good place for very infrequent visits on crummy days to spend indoors.
Nice layout, alot of older games. Fair enough. First floor games are all g-rated. Lots of fun games on the main floor. Upstairs near the bar think FPS, glorified duck hunt. And less kid friendly stuff. Good, relatively inexpensive garage parking nearby.
Really nice and spacious place. Good for groups, families & gamer community. Something for everyone :)
Arcade surpasses restaurants, but still a good time. Nice views from the top floor too.
Kind of sad. Way too many broken machines. Way too big of a space, it just feels empty. The prizes are all junk except impossible to get electronics. I give it 2 stars only because my girl likes the dancing game, which is fun and good exercise!
So much fun!
Fun place to take kids, buy an all day pass and go wild!
This place is awesome! Dave and Busters can eat their dust. This place has a HUGE selection of cabinets. Their game selection has something for everyone. Racing games, got em. Fighting games, got em too. Ski-ball? Yep. Shooters? Of course. They even have a LAN center for PC gaming which is cool. The drinks from either of their two bars are always good pours. The food is good as well. Youll find your traditional bar fare here. Ive never had a bad meal here, but I cant say as Ive ever had a memorable meal here as well. Make sure you check them out Thursday evenings because they have all you can play games for hours and hours for like $20. This place is a tradition for me and my friends when we visit Seattle for PAX.
We LOVED this place! There were tons of retro and newer games to choose from it was almost overwhelming! The bar seemed a bit understaffed for a Saturday evening however everyone we encountered was very nice and welcoming! This is definitely a must do if you enjoy arcade/video games as an adult or for a family outing!
Love the place. Amazing place to spend 2-3 hours playing if not more! The all day pass is a bang for the buck. They have foosball, pool table and VR among others!
Its an okay arcade. The games arent super fun but its not bad. The video game console section is always crowded, so if you wanted do join in that youll have a tough time.
So much fun. Some games out of service but more than enough to stay busy. Bought a deal on groupon, totally worth it!
Food here is absolutely delicious! Great atmosphere, nice staff, and overall a wonderful place to hang out during the weekend.
How are people still affording this place?Games need to be updated and better laid out. 10 years ago this place was cool. Not its just an over priced Chucky Cheese.
Really good variety of arcade, sports, and your basics. Prices are decent but not cheap. Not 5 stars because some machines were broken, although they were kind to refund the credit for those. We went on a Sunday night and it was empty so we could play most of the games. Try to beat my new high score ANDD at the motorcycle game lol.
Great space to hang out before seeing a movie at Regal. Only downside is the card readers for loading cards are sometimes unreliable. But you can always go to the front desk to purchase instead!
Fun place to hangout and play but there are so many machines that are out of order that I question the value(without groupon). Would still go back in the future. Maybe call ahead and ask whats out of order.
Nice bar area, and they host a variety of game tournaments fairly frequently. Im a big fan of rhythm games, and their selection is a bit lacking in that department, but if you enjoy the more classic arcade games or toy gun shooters then youre good.
It has been a couple of months since I have been here and they added a couple of new games. My family and I had a blast. This is are favorite spot to go when its raining in Seattle.
Games didnt work, they were old and outdated. Some of the games were missing vital parts in which you need to successfully play. We wont be returning, and this was the third time having this experience...
Would be 5 stars if there were more places for dining. Granted we did stop by during comic con maybe it was set up different. Food was pretty good, normal bar food but pretty good quality. The wings were delicious these are the Bbq ones. The jalapenos on the nachos have a bite.
Gameworks is always a good time. I mean how can you beat drinks and arcade games. The bartender has always made really good drinks no matter what kind we have ordered. Some of there food choices are kind strange but we have found out that most of them are suprising good. Then you have the arcade, 2 stories of games! They have games for just about everyone no matter what you like to play. Some games are just straight play games while others you will. Tickets that can be exchanged for prizes. The types of prizes are geared toward young kids all the way to adults.
I love this place! Much better than Dave and Busters do to assorted games, prizes, and better food! They always have the classic games and all the new ones up to date! Very easy to make friends that just like playing games there! The beer and drinks selection is pretty decent! All my favorite games are here from street fighter to initial d and marvel vs Capcom. Theres ticket winning games too and a bunch of fun crane games!
Had really fun time at an office party here. Recommend anyone with a group to spend a fun time adults included.
Went here for a friends 40th birthday party! We were in a private party area that had a pool table and was catered! Food was Mexican with enchiladas, nachos, and taco bar! Was very tasty! Then we had unlimited gaming (on all the games except for the games that give out tickets) for 2 hours! I guess the only negative is that the drinks are super expensive buts that wasnt really a suprise.
Staff are rude. They closed store mid game without any notice of imminent closure. I have no problem with this but at least credit back the fact that game just started and they turned off the power.
It was good pricing and hours of fun. Definitely worth the drive. Food is spendy but it was fun
Good drinks good games fun chill you dont got to be twelve to enjoy the place lol
Went to the Twitch event, it was great.Met folks I didnt know, found others I did.Drinks *are* kind of expensive for what they are, but thats not unexpected.Overall though, cool place and an awesome event.
Fun place with a lot of arcade game downstairs. There is a gaming room upstairs and bar upstairs. You have to pay for parking but you are close distant to Pacific Place and the Washington Convention Center.
Good menu in the restaurant and a good selection of games in the arcade area. Easy to find and access in the downtown core basically. Our waiter was quick and very polite.
Great sauce choices for the wings! Lemon Pepper Parm and Lime Sea Salt.
Im new to Seattle and searching for a place with video games. Had a very small selection of games for the PS4, and not many 2019 sports games, like Madden or NBA. Overall even for an entertainment facility that offers tons of activities for people of all ages and families, it didnt feel like an environment I could go to and enjoy, even in front of a TV screen playing a console game with headphones on.
Lovely arcade! Has a bar and food, a bit expensive, but the games are great and the place is clean with well kept games. Been back a few times!
2 floors of fun. If you dont care about points I recommend getting the hourly cards. Its a good value. The food however is terrible. Dont recommend unless youre hungry. Although I did see an amazing looking club sandwich at another table. Wish our table had ordered that. We ordered almost one of each on the menu and divided it but not the sandwich.
I actually had a great time in this arcade! Could be the alcoholic beverages that night or the bartenders showing an enthusiastic perspective to their job by entertaining the guests while reaping up my game card through the machines and playing non stop games for the special they had that night! Not to mention the food was good for an arcade bar. Had fun here and most staff was friendly and energetic.
One of my favorite places to go to unwind. Cocktails and delicious dishes served by chill staff that make you feel at home once you walk in the door.
Cool games kept in bad repair. taiko drums barely function, light guns dont stay on target, and my favorite game dont work...
It has a good location right in downtown. But the sad part is most of the games are broken or has something wrong with them. Not sure if Im gonna go again!
Live the concept of the place, but the staff completely destroy any chances of you ever getting the opportunity to actually enjoy yourself in the end. Or more accurately, they end up tainting the great time you may have been having all along. Youre best off just avoiding and and all interactions with the staff (if youre there to play video games, that is), otherwise just stick to the arcade or the bar.... Theres not much they can do the screw that up for anybody...
Fun place with selection of games for all ages. Restaurant attached has kid- friendly fare, bar area and pecials that include game cards.
Fun place. It has a mix of newer and classic arcade games. There is a PC area. Some games certainly show some wear and tear. Overall would recommend.
A fun arcade. Have been going here since back in the day. I still miss the old epic games of course. I always try to explain to my wife how cool it was. But you cant compare now vs then. It is still a solid arcade. I did a hour unlimited card for two people. We played a fair amount of games. I thought the selection of games was pretty good. I would have liked to see a couple more pinball games. The Hummer racing games that didnt have motion would have been cooler if they did. The VR stuff looked cool, but didnt try it out. I was a little frustrated with the card system, it misread our cards many times which shortened our actual time playing. Will be back️
Be pretty cool if theyd actually replace broken arcade equipment. Been frequenting the arcade for a few years now and more machines have steadily degraded then machines repaired. The staff are fantastic. Its clean and great drinks.Too bad the Taiko Rythm Game has be absolutely demolished.
My family got four cards with three hours of unlimited games at GameWorks Seattle, however we were disappointed that we could not play some games because they were ticket games. Maybe make some ticket games dual games where if you have a timed card you dont get tickets from it? Most of the games were fairly enjoyable and easy enough for my 4 year old to play, and challenging enough for my 12 year old and I to have fun. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and I will probably go back next time we are in Seattle.
Used to be great when you could walk around with your beer and play games. . But they have yummy food and it is always a fun time. Could use some updated games. But overall, fun.
After a tough outing on my first visit, I have nothing but positive things to say. Staff were very helpful (machine error was addressed right away) and genuinely enjoyed being there for the customers. Looking forward to visiting many more times
Amazing array of games. Thurs night all you can play for 15$ seems well worth it. Wish they had skiing and snowboarding videogames for those who no longer can.
We just had my daughters birthday party at GameWorks in Seattle! Everyone was wonderful and helpful and wanted us to have a great time! Eddie in the eSports area was there every time we needed help with our games. It was truly a great experience!
Shrugs. $15 for 60 minutes of unlimited play on the older video arcade games: a decent way to kill an hour and better than the ping pong place down the way.Its unlimited but the games are definitely a little sensitive and therefore not that fun when you keep dying. But you probably already know that.Best part is the basketball. Its the only thing I thought was fair enough.
No shenanigans on the receipt. Great Sunday deal for a family on eats and games. Service was upbeat and didnt try to upsell. Just a great laid back experience. Cant wait to come back!
I love this place. I always come here everytime Im in town. Ive never had a had experience with them.
Took family over to GameWorks for a fun night. Some of my favorite older games were not working and the Street fighter dual was down so I couldnt compete against my daughter, besides that all went well and all had fun.
There’s no way to fully explain how amazing the staff is especially at the upstairs bar
Came here for my grandsons birthday! Nice place! Friendly staff and nice atmosphere! Not my cup of tea but did have a beer, ate some pizza and played video games with him! Had a great time! If you like video games this is the place to go!
The staff is very friendly and courteous and they have a huge variety of games and game platforms
Super fun for all ages (there was 6 of us from 26 down to a 7 year old)! Every time I come (like twice a year) there always seems to be new machines, also the groupon makes it an even better deal to go here and the food is pretty good and decent portion sizes but the prices are a bit high ($16 for a burger and fries) but you can always grab cheaper food elsewhere before or after going
The waiter called my water boring. The food was also mediocre. Ordered mozzarella sticks and a cheese pizza. They looked like something that would come frozen. It was cooked all the way through and the things they were playing on their screens was entertaining.
Would give it a five but a bunch of stuff didnt work. Super great to have a night out here without the kids.. i bet the kids wouls love it though. Lol
Good PC cafe use the Groupon tho its over half off
Incredibly disorganized and understaffed on a Saturday night. A 45 minute wait for our drink order wasn’t the worst of it, the quality of anything that wasn’t in a bottle or can was downright terrible. 1 star for the concept itself, if only they could get the execution right.
GameWorks is your local arcade bar, mixed with a restaurant and a LAN center. They have great deals during the weekdays, and you can get an unlimited card (with no tickets for prizes) for a great deal with a dinner. Drinks are a bit pricey, but its downtown Seattle so its expected. During the weekends, it becomes 18 and over at some point, then 21 and over after that, so its a nice break of youre looking to avoid the chaos.
Had an amazing time with my kids and husband and food is actually good.
There are groupon discounts prior to entering, the prizes are diverse and possibly due to PAX West happening at the time, the prizes reflected anime and comic diversity.Theres VR, computer time with preloaded games, the normal arcade games youd expect, and access to food and drink. Overall a really good time, alone or with a group.
Had a good time at a Smash tournament here. Bar was perfectly placed next to the action. Wouldve been a 5 if they had validated parking.
Love that they have older and newer games, but really wish it wasnt so expensive. But still a good place for kid or adult fun.
Great place to come watch the game when sea hawks play
There are a LOT of games to choose from, so many in fact that someone could feel a bit cramped. Most of the games are on the first floor and include a variety of games; from table games, to ticket games, to racing games, shooting games, and more. GameWorks even includes an E-sports section upstairs! It does cost credits/money to play, like the rest of the games. Theres a decent restaurant for fast food lovers (Pizza, cheese sticks, cauliflower... drinks, TVs, etc.) This place is really popular, so stop on by for an hour or two with some friends!
Fantastic game parlor with restaurant attached. We didnt eat so I cant review that, but the game section is huge! Spent several hours there. 2 levels with multiple different styles.Lots of kid friendly games on the first floor, as well as racing sims. Lots of gun games on the second floor with a few fighters and pinball machines. Also an internet cafe for playing pc and xbox games.Prices are on the average. The cheapest game = $1.25, the most expensive was around $3. Only negative is you have to put money on a card to play - Id prefer coins, but for that, if you put on $20+ you start getting bonus credit. Its worth saying too that on Thursdays and Sundays they have deals where you can pay $10 and play for a number of hours for free.Theyve got classics like house of the dead 2, 3 & 4, pacman (4 player and original), new stuff (especially racing sims) and air hockey too. Not a lot of your Street Fighter style games and only one plane game (Raiden). LOTs of ticket games where you can win tickets to spent on stuffed toys, mugs, foam swords, etc. Funnily enough, my favorite was plants vs zombies. Good random fun.If youre still reading this far down, jump on their website, sign up for their promo newsletter and youll get $10 worth of games free. Just show the email on your phone when you arrive!
Fun place but the passes only include certain games. The premium games cost too many points, and they need more food/drink options.
Umm a pc room with games like what?! that was unexpected I’ll be back
