The facility is very clean it is up on new workout equipment.the facility also take this epidemic very seriously and is doing what it can to keep all patrons safe.
Really fun for the kids and close to home. They now are doing 1.5 hour slots so not many people are there because of covid
Facility was very clean. Chlorine felt a little strong in the lap pool. Lifeguards were aware and attentive (A+). My only issue was that they were out of family locker room keys... making a visit with a 1 year old incredibly challenging with such busy main locker rooms and few places to lay down for changes (the one changing table had a line). Well try again when we have a more independent child!
Its a really nice place to go have fun in the winter since its so warm inside. It is a small place but for the price it is worth it. The only thing I didnt really enjoy was the food. The food was not really great so I recomend that you eay before or bring snacks (im not sure if youre allowed to bring food though). Also, keep in mind that my review only has to do with the Water Works. I have not been to any of the other parts of the building.
I had my kid 5th birthday party here and it was a fun time. I gave it 3 stars due to some of the lifeguards seeming to be uneducated on protocol when it come to kids being underwater for an extended period of time without responding. My son went down the red slide and was struggling underwater for more than about 7 sec which seemed like forever before the on duty lifeguard even moved to help, which was negligent on her part. Lifeguard Amy was a big help with the way she handled the incident even though she was not involved, she was a bystander. Heather also was so nice and apologetic and helped out with providing passes to come back and training with staff about such incident. Overall great and fun place to take your family to have some fun.
The water there is warm, and it is fun there. There are slides and stairs. They have a bar and grill that sells cheap food and beverages. They are in a highly populated city with many fun things to do. There is also a hot tub for 18 and up; it has hot steamy water and again I want to mention that it’s very fun there. I hope you will get to experience these things ourselves because they are very fun and good compared to the Ping Tom Memorial Park that I used to go to.
Staff makes it or breaks it. In this case, it not only makes it, but creates a brand new world you step in as soon as you cross the threshold.Smiles and jokes make you feel like youre a part of the family
The manager kicked us out because the kids weren’t swimming fast enough... LMAO! They were in the lazy “river” and they were swimming very slowly and the lifeguard called over the manager to kick us out. Horrible experience, and I am not surprised barely anybody was there. We came here for our cousin’s birthday party and the manager tried acting serious when we were getting kicked out. He talked to the parents trying to act serious but nobody could hold back from laughing. Both parents and kids were laughing at him and he must’ve felt embarrassed and I am glad for it. Stay away from this place. The lifeguards never smile or talk to anybody. They are always grumpy and the food is really bad. Retarded managers these days....
Had a party there. It was great. The staff was great. The water park was great.
Great for the kids! Three water slides, a playground for little ones, a hot tub for the adults, and plenty of locker room space. Only warning is hot tub is 18+ which might disappoint children who want to get in.
I periodically go to the Water Works to tread water. I tend to go on Saturday. If you go before open swim at noon, the deep pool is wide open. Also, if you pay out of pocket, like me, you will be asked if you want to use the Water Works, the exercise center or both. The correct answer is both as it is the same price for each option. Yes, both together cost the same as either of the other two separately. Why limit yourself.
This place is great! My 5 year old is anxious around water, and this pool is big enough and has a play park in the middle of a shallow area, so she can still do things without feeling uncomfortable. It also has big slides for bigger kids and adults, and a lap pool. There are tons of life guards, and its through the Schaumburg Park District, so its pretty inexpensive, even if you are not a resident. $8 for adults and $6 for kids under a certain age (I dont know the age though). There is also a food stand in the pool area, but you cannot take food or drinks out of that area. The food is standard frozen/ refrigererated stuff. Pizza, hot dogs, chips, etc. No Michelin stars there, but ok in a pinch.
Fun indoor water park for kids. Good zero depth play area, good slides for all ages. Good lap pool and diving area. Snack area was nice too. As we were leaving there were a lot of day camps coming. Was glad we got out when we did.
Water Works is a good destination for families looking to get in a quick trip to an indoor water park. Water works is small compared to larger parks like Blue Harbor or some of the Great Wolf locations, but its easy to keep an eye on the kids and still have fun. The prices are good, staff is friendly and the food isnt outrageously priced. Great way to break up a long winter week with kids going stir crazy.
Great park district indoor water park. Small but has several slides and water features. Kids ranging from 2-12 will have fun. Clean lockers rooms. Poolside Cafe with the usual offerings. We were here for a birthday party and the 1st graders had a great time.
I love this place because there are really fast slides that you can go on.
Greatest!! Awesome Staff, Clean locker rooms, wet clothes spinners, showers, water slides,....- too much awesomeness 2 list!!!
Fantastic joint for a birthday party. Party hostess, Abby, was fantastic.
Great facility for kids
Nice pool, just right for kids. My 5 year old son had a blast there. The price is good, the food they sell there is good as well. Highly recommend for family day:)
The water park was nice but the chlorine and bleach was very very strong in smell. The rooms were ok, it wasnt the best, Ive been to better places.
Several activities for the entire family. Very attentive lifeguards.
Clean pool for a public facilitys host was very attentive!
Great thing they got going there. Were from out of town and this was worth the drive. Well definitely coming back!
Nice indoor facility for the family. There is s small cafe indoors as well with seating that allows you to observe the main pool/lap pool and the diving well. My only concern is for the little ones play area. At times it becomes very crowded and super chaotic with some parents leaving their kids unattended to run wild. Kids will be kids and trample over one another. Again, not s big deal, just a concern big you have a small child.overall it is a nice place, clean and has family changing locker rooms.
Great place to take kids to play and swim in the water
Kids love it here.. I think water could be a little warmer
I love this place, its great in a cool day or even a super hot day my daughter enjoys coming here
It was a fun but a slide and diving well were not available. Was not cool to pay admission when not everything is working.
It was very clean. Great prices. The facilities were perfect. Very crowded but its spring break and to be expected. My 4yo and 1yo had a great time!
I have brought my whole family here and they love it.
Lifeguards were extremely attentive and helpful, fast, efficient, and a blast of fun
Wish there was more places like this! Food is economical, tasty and semi fast. Fun for all ages and entrance fee was economical too. Locker rooms need a bit more attention. Super packed (we went during spring break) lots of Moms sitting watching kids play while reserving chairs with towels bags ect. No one would ever sit, not sure why they dont have them use the lockers or cubbies offered. We want to sit too.
Nice place to get away from the the cold
This is a great little indoor water park. They have 1 drop slide into a 11 foot pool. 2 more slides that are probably about 20 feet long. Then there is the kids section that has 2 kiddie slides. The water depth for the kids goes from 0 to about 3 feet. They dont provide towels. Hot tub is available with great pressure in the Jets. It is adults only as well. Their lockers have pin pad locks. A family locker room is also available. Friendly staff and attentive lifeguards also.
Great for the priceSuprizingly for a Saturday it was not overcrowdedGreat for all ages
Great time, staff was so friendly & helpful. Facility was extremely clean, grandkids had loads of fun. Great way to spend an afternoon.
Wish we found this place sooner . Great for toddlers on up. Kids love the water slides, diving board, drop slide and more. We go once a month or more in the winter. Fun for adults too! They also do birthday parties and have a decent snack bar if you are hungry and need a break from swimming. Warning on the showers there may be a wait at closing time.
The kids area is very fun, though the water was a bit cold for my two year old to stay in for more than an hour. Free lockers, swimsuit dryers, and a great parks right next to it. The water slides and Diving facilities looks really fun too
This place is a good option but the water was really cold. My 3 y.o. was literally shivering and upon getting to the lock room, it wouldnt work and it took about 10 min to open it. The family lock room is quite tight. The staff was very helpful.
Good fun. Just dont drink the water!
Love this place. I stumbled upon it last year and now its a go to. Even though we live in the city!
My son loves it there. Very clean and well maintained pool.
Holy cow the amount of chlorine is ridiculous... we couldnt stand being there more than an hr. Our eyes burned so bad, and honestly we all left with headaches, even after showering I can still smell it on my skin. So bad!! Our kids LOVE the water/ water parks but it was so bad even they wanted to get out of there ASAP! ImSure in the summer when they have the doors open for outside, might be better since the air will be circulating! I really wanted to love it here.
Many options to have fun for kids and adults alike
I like it here but I wish there were indoor pools with diving boards. I live in lincolnwood so this location is a good long hour drive
Well our visit from an hour away was cut too short. I understand its spring break but your capacity limit should be reevaluated completely! Life guards are literally clueless just standing there staring at the ground. I saw plenty of kids having trouble, and yes their parents should be watching, thats why letting so many people in is ridiculous. 1 child threw up in the pool and NO ONE did nothing about until 15 minutes later! The pool wasnt even shut down for sanitary reasons as it should have been! We definitely will NEVER be back. Please retrain your life guards and staff.
It had alot of things for adults and kids to do. Very clean and nice atmosphere.
Friendly staff and my daughter had a blast
Everything is great it’s just that the need more things for older kids than just 2 slides. Also, the pool water has a bit too much chlorine.
What a wonderful place this is. Too hot go inside
I was there not too long ago and was pretty satisfied and loved the whirl pool too. Maybe make some baby slides too! Overall great place!
The facilities are really nice. Great pool spaces. I really liked the kids play area. There was far more for kids to do and play with than your usual play area. The whirlpool was a huge hit for everyone. The water was warm but not overly hot. Kids not constantly moving would probably get cold. I would recommend sandals for the locker rooms as the floor can get slick. Free key or digital pad lockers avalible at request. Dropped down a star because it was so LOUD, I could not hear my kid talking to me when they were right next to me.
The manager and he had no clue what to do. He was rude to my kids and kicked them out for no reason get rid of this manager he sucks. He kicked my children for fun and no running on the diving board.
Dope cool.amd warm but chilly indoor pool nice for kids and adults
First time going and we loved .. planning another trip to go back
Awesome pool, especially for toddlers. YOU MUST CLEAN THE FAMILYLOCKER ROOMS AND WATER BETTER, WE ALL GOT SICK. COULDNT SHOWER AFTER BECAUSE A RIPPED OPEN DIAPER ALL OVER LOCKER ROOM FLOOR. NO STAFF WOULD HELP. THIS WAS ON A THURSDAY EVENING
We had 2 two year olds and 1 four year old with 7 adults! It took all of our attention to keep them safe but it was worth it. Everyone had a lot of fun. The whole place was clean and well kept up. The staff was helpful.
I wouldn’t really recommend this place for kids under 10years. And that’s because at this Indoor WaterWorks place the Chemical inside of the pools are over the limit. And for proof if u look at a child’s eyes when swimming you could slightly see red in their eyes. Like today! I went to the WaterWorks and during like 20 minutes through it my eyes started to itch and get red. I also looked at one kids eye and it was RED like the real color RED. Now this is why I wouldn’t really recommend this place for indoor swimming. And just for me and my dad having our RED EYES ITCH we had to pay $14 for notthing.
Good place for kids to swim with surprising good food.
Went there with my family for the first time and it was better than I expected. The weather was freezing outdoors but the temperature of the water and indoors was perfect. The kids loved it and I had just as much fun as they did.
Very nice village facility for indoor and outdoor water sports. There rates are very economical and staff is super super nice. Both of my kids go there for swimming and I love their pool and instructors are super nice and well trained.
Good place for kids. I dont like that they dont have enough toilets and showers for the amount of visitors.
Great place to have a birthday party!! Rooms are really big! Everything is newly remodeled.
Had daughters birthday there, was ok few different pools, kids had fun .
Really terrific. Slides, diving board, hot tub, great amenities in the locker room including coded locks.
Water park and party rooms are nice, but people/kids were eating and subsequently dropping food on the floor of the pool deck which was gross.
Everything is very nice except the chlorine level is so high my kids cried most the way home. My eyes are so red its rediculous. Im not coming back! I never write reviews except when is really bad. This is borderline toxic levels of chorine.
More fun for the kids. If youre looking for a quiet spot just to float around, wont find one here.
My son was just was just tall enough to ride the waterslide. He cant swim, so I asked the lifeguard if I could go first and catch him. They insisted that a lifeguard will catch him at the bottom. They didnt, he was underwater for atleast 25 seconds. They said if he wanted to do it again he would have to wear a life jacket. After trying to convince him for over an hour to go again while wearing the lifejacket. He went down again, knowing he cant swim from me telling them and him wearing a life jacket. Oh they will catch him. He bobbed in the pool at the bottom for 3-4 min while other kids went down. Will not reccomend nor will be back.
Great set up for young kids but the chlorine is super intense.
A real gem. Great for swim lessons and indoor water fun.
Its a nice place but they over do it with chlorine
I took my family and we had a great time
Too cold for my kids for indoor pool
Amazing indoor pool and water play area. Shares large building with other recreational activities. 3 big kid / adult slides, large toddler wading pool with 3 two slides, regular size pool and diving board pool. Also excellent for an easy kids birthday party!
Nice indoor water parks for the kids. Water could be warmer though.
Great staff. Clean facilities. Super kod friendly. Went with my nearly 2 year old and we had a blast. Something for everyone. Dont forget to bring a towel!
Very clean and well organized. Great for kids!
We love this place, it is perfect for our energetic toddler. Food is not great but if you eat before going there you should be fine. The water in the small pool is a little colder than the big one, but still ok for our kid.
Nice place for kids of all ages, might get croded for a bit but it winds down early and late. Family room locker is very small and crowded at times and dirty. There are lockers with pin pads, close door hit C enter a 4 digit number and preass the button, same thing to open. There are also small cubicles in the pool area to stuff your things. You can bring snacks and eat them right by pool. Please be curtious and dont be messy, clean up afterwards.
THIS PLACE IS THE BEST!!! There is something for everyone in the family from the baby to the adults and everyone in between! Check of out. You wont be disappointed.
Fun place the children loved it
Pool was nice. Water was too cold for younger children. DO NOT get a family locker room. Very small and crowded.
Great place to take the kids. A lot of different swim classes available through the park district website. Just wish family locker room was bit larger.
Always clean and greeted with a smile...
Very clean & Family oriented, great price and excellent fun
The staff really makes our swimming lessons the best. The first day of lessons, there were dozens of families entering and exiting the pool. Andy, a lead lifeguard/instructor, was right there to greet us, and provide direction. Amber is another outstanding instructor. My child looks forward to seeing her each week.
Fun place. Great local option no matter the weather.
Best place for kids to go swimming indoor, in my opinion. Annual pool passes are super cheap for a family and kids have lots of fun. Water is always nice and warm and lifeguards are always there too. My kids love it here...
This place was fun in the beginning until we saw a child drowning!!!! The child was not breathing at first but this place is careless for not making rules for watching their kids strict enough! The girl bathrooms were nasty, gross, and unsanitary there was no space to change and go to the rest room! There was to much chlorine in the pools. There was not enough benches to sit on. But not including that stuff it was a good place.
Great place for the kids. big and small.
Kids (3&5) absolutely loved it. Awesome slides and fountains with a beach entrance that allows kids to enter at their own pace.
Great place to burn off energy especially on bad weather days. Only issue I have had is that the chlorine smell can be overwhelming.
It gets boring. Limited activities.
Decent places very hot inside
