This is a beautiful, tranquil, peaceful place to walk quietly around. Its not huge and it doesnt take long to walk around, but I go super slowly and tiptoe sometimes in case theres an owl! We have seen barred owls here and theyre adorable. Also Cardinals, blue grey gnatcatchers and tufted titmice. Its lovely. There is a restroom outside here too.

The whole of pinecraft is quaint and cute; the people and atmosphere here are very kind and inviting. The park itself was no different, with big clean restrooms, nice areas for the kids to play, big pavilions and since most of the locals walk or ride bikes, plenty of parking.

Very cool spot to put in your kayak and head down the creek. Plan on going one-way only as you will not be able to make it back up river as there are a couple of make-shift dams you will go over. The creek was high due to a recent rain so it was a fun trip.

This refers to the Palms Exec Golf Course..nice little course which I joined and generally play twice a week. I walk the course rather than cart it playing nine each day..worth the investment for me and I recommend it for people who want a similar experience.

Boat ramp needs work like other things around the park. Perfect if you love to people watch but the park is indeed very small. Its in a quiet community but I would still my lock my doors and hide your valuables when you walk around. If you want to watch a bit of nature or watch people then youve come to a good spot.

A tale of two different parks. During the winter/tourist season this a wonderful park. At this time Pinecraft is a safe and wonderful park with a real down home wholesome feel. Unfortunately during the summer/off season the park changes. True some of the same people are still there (at lower numbers) but unfortunately the number of homeless and/or undesirable folks loitering goes up. Its important to note that Ive never felt unsafe at the park regardless of what time of the year.As a side note, the little woodsy walking trail is great and very popular with bird watchers.

If you like watching Amish people play shuffle board this is THE place to go! You can also go watch younger people play volleyball after dark, which I would recommend over shuffle board! Also has a nice basketball area but needs a fence around it bad!

Ch
Review №52

Stopped by Yoders produce for some fresh produce. Great selection and quality fruit and vegetables from local farmers. Also take time and stop by the restaurant and enjoy some great authentic Amish foods. Make sure you finish off you experience with their world renowned pies, that are absolutely delicious. No time for a sit down meal then duck into their market for home made pre prepped dinners and some great dessert options as well. The historic Amish area of Sarasota is a must stop area for visitors and locals alike.
