I had the amazing opportunity of seeing my younger sister, Alexis Jackson, perform Backstage at the Players Theater in Rabbit Hole... and let me tell you, what a great place to sit and enjoy an evening! The actors were ALL awesome and nailed their performance. The venue was small and intimate and just completely felt like I had VIP tickets to the show. I recommend any and all to visit the players theater... what a terrific experience

Love of community theater fosters my appreciation for the dedication and and hard work that these local people put into their craft. Sarasota players, as well as Manatee players are two of my favorite local theaters.I was fortunate enough to be involved in the raising of my stepdaughter who was heavily involved in theater and help me to appreciate the amount of work involved in putting time into one of these productions.If you have any appreciation for Life theater, I highly recommend this venue! ️

We love going to this community theater! It is affordable, entertaining and everyone there puts there all into what they’re doing. The performances have all been fun to attend and it’s great to see how talented some of them are (I’m talking about you, Sister Mary Clarence )! I will be sad when they move to Lakewood Ranch.

Wow, what a marvelous performance I witnessed here. Impeccable acting group, the seating was very intimate, the stage crew was phenomenal, the play itself was so incredibly fluid, the drinks were afforadble (5 dollars for wine at a play isnt a bad deal!) Great venue, the acoustics were awesome, and there wasnt a bad seat in the house! Also a fully packed house it was! The ticket clerk was a little less than friendly but not unfriendly, just clearly takes their job VERY seriously which really is a good thing, all in all 5 stars

To the Follies with two friends, the acting was great and you could tell they were having a good time. Lots of fun energy at a great storyline! The only issue was perhaps it was rather cold in the theater which stamp in the enjoyment a little bit. Great place

While the facility is old and musty, the productions in this community theater venue are almost always top notch. Sometimes, they are even better than that, drawing on enormously talented retirees, semiprofessionals who find themselves here and locals who know how to sing, dance and act with uncharacteristic terrific-ness. The productions this summer on the main stage and Black box venue have hit new heights, from Jeffreys birthday bash to The Wonder of Our Stage.

This is I believe the oldest theater in the city of Sarasota. I have been going there for years. They have upgraded the sound the lighting and the stage performances are as good as I would see in Paris London Rome or even in the Bolshoi theater in Russia. It’s the spins my believe the players and the characters are wonderful and a live orchestra is simply magic. I don’t need any virtual reality here I have real reality this is definitely the place to go for anybody who wants enjoy the play at a reasonable price

This an excellent community theatre that produces a variety of musicals, played, and classes. A real gem of creativity and team work in our city.

Good shows and they run kids programs year round for children who want to get into doing theater arts. Be ready to pay a lot of money for those programs, but they are totally worth it for your kids to have fun and do something exciting.

Great little theater. It will be missed when it moves to Lakewood Ranch. Parking can be difficult and the seating could be better.

Last week I had a great experience seeing the Broadway play hair spray and outstanding cast of actors and actresses.and I was offered a chance to get a back stage experience today with was a great experience.and I was able to find out about the history of the players theater and the cast in most of of the time are volunteers.Thank you players staff for there dedication for all that they do for the community outreach for of future actors and actresses Im looking forward to there future facility.again thank you for involved.

Never been disappointed with musicals. The only drawback is parking. Must be there at least 45 minutes before the show

Great Art in Lobby & the theatrical performances are always well done & atendees are unpretentious. They do tend to stage too many musicals for my preferences

Theres really not a bad seat in the place. Every seat feels like front row center. A well laid out facility. Shows are always enjoyable with talented artist. The bathrooms however are made for little people.

We saw the Odd couple show and it was fantastic. We will definitely be back.

We saw Hairspray. Very well doneA few technical glitches, but after all it is community theatre. Great value for the price. Parking however, is a nightmare. I hope that will be corrected with the new theatre. They will remain at this location for the remainder of 2019. Tip: arrive early to get parking and aviod the drink line.

Evening with Rodney, 1st half of show was great all classic Rodney. 2nd half not good came out in golf outfit, expected Caddyshack material and more Rodney. He sang two old songs and had audience tell jokes.

The play Bullets over Broadway was amazing. Very funny and very entertaining. I would recommend this for anyone who loves the theatre.

I just enjoyed a top notch production of Funny Girl The Musical. Outstanding cast and production. Vera Samuels as Fanny Brice is a performance that shouldnt be missed in Sarasota. Bravo to all at The Players Centre.

I truly enjoyed the play! The set was great & the theater was very clean

This is a very old facility, however, it is very comfortable with great seats with ample legroom. The play we attended was a musical and the accoustics were very good. Other reviews had similar findings but mentioned limited parking. We got there early and found parking available in the lot.

I really enjoyed Valentines night at the Players, we saw Just This and really enjoyed it.

You just cant go wrong with this little community theater. Building is old but they are planning to build a new theater. Should be done by summer 2019.

As a Sarasota performer, I have to say that the Players Theatre is an institution as ingrained in the community as the beaches we are famous for. The theatre is a pillar for many of the local performers and artists. Both the staff and volunteers have an incredible esprit de corps. Whether you are a performer or simply a fan of watching live theatre, open your heart to the Players and if it enriches you half as well as Ive experienced, you will be one lucky fan!

It was a pleasure to visit this location. I saw a play a friend was in and overall the establishment was fantastic.

We see at least four shows a year. Usually more. Our family loves the Players Centre.

We enjoyed seeing a wonderful performance of La Cage Aux Folles! The cast put on a great and entertaining show at this intimate theater.

Love the shows and have season subscriptions that is priced so reasonable.Great live theatre, it would be a crime not to go.
