The hike was lovely. Don’t agree about it being intermediate but there are a lot of incline changes. Hiking shoes are not required but lot of loose gravel. Not a bad place to take your dog.
The views were beautiful and there is a lot of different plants to see. I was wearing closed toed sandles and did fine, however walking or hiking shoes would be better. The dog loved the hike the biggest problem was to stop her from smelling the cactus and I have to admit it would have been nice to have a bench along the way. But will worth the visit for a quiet relaxing walk.
Very nice group of trails. Well marked and the views are nice. Im used to a lot tougher trails so for me they are far too easy and not very long. I can barely stretch to an hour the whole outer circumference of the space. Nice for something super casual and easy to find.
Great views!! Expect an uphill and downhill hike. Hiking shoes recommended. Open hike suitable for family, friends, and maybe that special someone.
This place was a lovely little hike close to town. Great for walking the dog or having a chat with friends while staying outside. We went after work on a Friday evening and it wasn’t very busy at all.I really liked the little placards that told info about native plants and animals.
It was a great hike. Beautiful views. A little noisy from the highway being nearby. But it is a gorgeous hike. Gorgeous cacti and beautiful hike to the top where you can see all the mountains around.
Nice walking or jogging trails. Choice of three loop lengths. The longest is about 1.7 miles
Private trail. Beautiful mountain views, polite fellow pedestrians wear masks & maintain social distance. Option to take shorter route or do full 20 mile run. My dog loves walking and exploring the trails.
Moderately rugged trails, the best mapping at trail splits, impossible to get lost. Short uphill climbs, that challenged me, Im not used to elevation. 45 minutes to 2 hour hikes depending on route
Parking lots are small/medium sized and have a porta potty. Couple shaded parking spaces.Number of trails crisscrossing the 1.6 mile outer loop to give everyone the right walk/run/hike of their liking. Nice territorial views and of Santa Fe.Trail is in great condition, offers little shade, pretty gradual throughout, not very rocky, handful of informative interpretive signs scattered around and lots of indigenous plants.

Great trail. Easy little hike.
Its a nice short hike with great views
A beautiful hike! You can take a long way around or a short few minutes! Beautiful durning the winter months and summer, take water though! :)
Our first visit. Checked the place out.Trail is not for the disabled. Need to be sure footed. A lovely get away just minutes from town. Had the place to ourselves on a Tuesday afternoon.Note : Dogs required to be on leach.
One of my favorites close to home hikes.
One of the best kept secrets in the Santa Fe outskirts. There are actually two separate parking lots for this area. One on Old Agua Fria and the other is on Arroyo Hondo. These trails are not very busy and are excellent for hiking, trail running, and moutnain biking. The trails are quite narrow and go around the edge a large hill with a few paths that cross over. Outer path is about 2 miles round trip. There are a couple spots with large exposed rocks on the trail that some mountain bikers may need to dismouont for. Other than that, it is a fun little place to be outdoors and get some activity in!
Nice trails, close to town
Great area to trail run or hike in for those looking for a relatively easy trail. The trail is well maintained and the scenery is pretty fantastic.
Good hike. Pretty flowers. High over city.
Pretty. Nice rolling up and down hills. You can go for as long or far as u want and there are 4 trails back to the parking lot.
Gorgeous
Free parking, great location, views of water, a well identified loop trail. The only thing missing was mileage. Inclines, declines, views. 2 parking access areas. Close to Harrys Road house, off of Old Las Vegas Hwy.
Great day. Nice wildflowers and the Claret cups and yucca in bloom - more to come.
Nice hiking area at the edge ofSanta Fe. Leashed dogs are welcome here. Please clean up after your pet. Decent elevation gain (loss). I rate it easy to moderate.
Lovely 2 hour hike with stellar views.
A great trail system with incredible sunset vistas
Hot and healing
A very quick and easy hike when you dont have a lot of time and it also has beautiful views.
Great place to walk dogs and enjoy flower and views
Love it
Great place to visit.
This is an easy and enjoyable hike. And there IS a porta potty!
Easy trail, nice views.
Good for dogs and bicycles
