The park and city need to let nature fill and dump the river .Under their control they are damaging the ecology of san lorenzo river.Stop the digging of the river mouth to fill the river up to capacity.Stop creating algae blooms.Clean the river of all the trash in it.Most of all stop interfering with the natural breaking open of the rivermouth.

I was accosted by man with no legs here. Thats right, u read that correctly -- no legs! It was a sight to behold! He battered my mid section with his tiny deformed hands before I kicked him off. Truly there are miracles in this world! This was only one of the amazing things Ive seen here! Next time Im bringing bubbles and a butterfly net to catch the crazies (who come by the bakers dozen here)!P.s. Faye will never borrow my phone again. :D

Much better now that the childrens playground is enclosed by a fence, also, the constant patrol by security and police is good. The river bridge views of the river and downtown are great. The duck pond is always fun, especially in spring when the momma ducks and geese are out and about with their babies.

The lotus in Duck Pond can be spectacular and the fountains feeding it are lovely. The litter is a shame. Maybe larger dumpsters, more frequently emptied, to process the garbage left by itinerant users.

Absolutely a wonderful little slice of greatness!! This park has plenty of shade, a small pond where birds often hang out, (ducks, Canadian Geese, & others), grassy hills to lay on, & just a general quiet atmosphere. Yesterday whilst I was there, a pack of Canadian Geese just walked right by me, & went to drink from the pond. It was lovely!!

Its hard to look at with the encampment being an eyesore talking away from the raw preserved nature basically ... But where else do u expect one that is basically due to overwhelming circumstances become residentially challenged to go and be safe??Homelessness is not a crime

Nice and well maintained park. Great playground, swings, and even a tire swing (my kids love them). Be aware the playgrounds are in sand, so some is likely to come home in kids shoes.

It can be a very pleasant place to relax. I was sitting on a bench when an older man sat down with his small dog. The dog sat next to the man for about ten minutes while I read. Then the little dog got up walked across the bench and plopped down firmly against my leg while the man smiled. He sat for about 3 minutes while I petted him. When I stopped he looked at me and walked back to his Dad and plopped down. Too cute!

Came here during a festival so I know any homeless were removed and cleaned up after. It was great for the event, just wish there was more shade. Thatd get in the way of sports though, so I understand the lack of trees in the open area under the bridge by the river.

Many transient people and makeshift homes. The disc golf course was unplayable because of this. Despite the large fenced off 12 and under Park area, I still found a place to set up my 90 foot slackline so it was a solid three stars.

This was a nice park. Lots of wide open grass fields, a man-made lake full of water lilies and turtles, and a river/creek running through it. The grassy areas were a bit muddy, which made it difficult to push a stroller, but thats to be expected after rain. Overall, it was a nice experience.

This is a quiet little slice of loveliness. I was there today & about six Canadian Geese, just walked on by in a line one behind the other. (I captured a photo or two). They walked over to the pond & sipped afternoon water. It was such a lovely & unexpected experience. This park has plenty of shade under large trees, & alot of grass & grassy hills to relax on. Bring a blanket & chill out!
