Great neighborhood park with a large grassy open space, large playground, a public restroom, along with many picnic tables and bbqs. There is a running creek during the winter months but its dry during the summer.

Favorite things include the climbing areas and open areas for nature play as well as the bathrooms. There is a gentle trail at the back of the park which connects to the Jesusita Trail after one mile. Parking can be tricky here when it gets crowded.

Spectacular park for kids. Set back far from the road, so it is fairly safe to let the kids roam. Especially great for the kids if the small creek is running and they can play in the water. Also there is a walking path going up all the way to the mountains, 10 miles or so round trip.

A nice little neighborhood Park, with some equipment for small kids to climb on, quite a few picnic tables, and nice open space. For even more peace and quiet, walk out the back of the park, into a pretty much unused shady area. On the way there, in the spring, check the embankment on either side for bountiful, beautiful nasturtiums. And for the adventurous, keep going, across a steam bed (usually dry), and follow the trail past the water treatment plant, to where it connects to Jesusita trail to Inspiration Point.

This is one of our favorite parks. It has good shade and lots of room to explore. There are two jungle gyms - one for little kids and one for older. Theres a good amount of parking during the week. There are some some picnic tables and bathrooms. Theres also a trail that lots of people pass through the park to hike up, but I havent done it yet (kinda hard with a toddler).

Great place for hiking. Quietly tucked away in the middle of Santa Barbara. Parking is a challenge and you usually wind up on the street. A great and convenient place to get out and hike. They is also a small playground for kids and picnic areas.

This is a beautiful park set amongst a quiet residential neighborhood. You have access to the Jesusita trail from here, but mainly its a great park for the family. Its got a lot of shady spots, and great for kicking back, listening to your headphones, while reading a good book and perhaps a picnic. Its not terribly large, so probably not the best place to have a huge gathering.

All dogs were off-leash in a leash only area. Guess I had better remember this is Santa Barbara and people obey the rules only when they are convenient.
