The most fun foodie tour ever! Tara was great! Every place we went to was delicious. All the history we learned was fun to learn about Solvang. If you want to have a fun time do this!!!!
Had a great day with Tara! Time flew by with good food and a nice walk around town in Solvang with great local insights and lots of fun!
The tour was super informative and really fun. Our tour guide was funny and kept us interested in where we were.
We ate it all! This tour was a nice change of pace from the usual tour-guided trips and Andrew gave a lot of interesting information about the local history. The food was fantastic and there was lots of it. I will have to ask the city council if they can fund some donuts businesses though to add to the available choices.
The tour was awesome. History of salvang.Sampled cheeses, sausage, wines, meatballs, ablechevers, and received spices. Loved it.
Awesome tour! So fun! Great food/drink and fun facts about Solvang. Tara was amazing at letting us know the history of the area and the best local places to go.
Could not think of a better way to be introduced to this amazing, unique town. Tara showed us all the go to spots, as she guided us through the best places to see with the best food and drink. I would recommend for anyones first or fifth trip to Solvang.
Tara was absolutely incredible. She told us all sorts of amazing facts about Solvang and showed us all the best eateries. Thank you!
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area, as there is so many amazing local places that you get to try, that you might not have been able to visit otherwise. Id even recommend it to locals, such a cool way to spend the afternoon. The staff was not only knowledgeable about the area (Ive lived in SB for 6+ years and was surprised at how much about SB I didnt know) but also SO fun to be around, a real highlight of the tour in addition to all of the delicious eats and sips along the way!!I have to admit.. I enjoyed myself so much the first time around, I had to take their other neighborhood tours as well. (I mean who would resist a whole tour dedicated to boutique wines?)
Eat This Shoot That does an incredible job. We participated in their new tour in Solvang (and weve done their Funk Zone tour a while back), and they curated amazing things to eat and drink, we learned all about Solvangs history, we learned photography, and we learned how to bake! I dont know if Ive ever been on a tour that combined so many amazing things in one. Highly recommended.
Thanks for another great time. This was my 8th time to Santa Barbara and my first food tour ever. I had a great time. Lots of laughing and socializing. Im looking forward to my next visit. this time I will be bringing more people with me, so gear up. Thanks Again.
Deliciousness every step of the way! What a great way to explore Santa Barbara -- Culture, photography, art, history, sips and bites all wrapped up in a super fun (easy) walking tour. Even if youre a local, you absolutely will love this; I was shocked how much I learned and how much deliciousness Ive been missing out on all while learning how to take amazing pics on my smartphone!
I had a great time on the tour! I wasnt sure if the eats/drink ratio would be good but it was plenty of food (and delicious to boot). I was also amazed at how many new things I got to try in just a few hours - new brat flavors at the Brat Haus, new wines, new cheeses, new facts about Santa Barbara and new friends! I recommend this tour if you have a serious love of wine and off the beaten-path-places. Its also a great value - I calculated the cost at $95 dollars to do all these things on your own (give or take) and the tour is only $70! In the end that means you pay less and get more with your own personal downtown guide.
I have done two of the three Eat This, Shoot That tours and they were fantastic!!! The Funk Zone Food & Photo Tour gives a great background on the city and visits classic eateries and local beverage stops! The route is a leisurely stroll and gives a great overview of the city. I highly recommend the El Paseo Tour as well! Great introduction to Santa Barbaras wine country with delicious nibbles along the way. These tours are a great group activity or for social couples looking to enjoy a few hours with like-minded people who enjoy food, drink and laughs! Tara and her team are incredible!! I cant wait to try the Sunday Funday one! :)
After my boyfriend saw the wonderful reviews on TripAdvisor (yes, I know this isnt TA but I prefer Google reviews tho), he jumped to the opportunity and scheduled a lovely sunny Saturday in Santa Barbara for this tour.We met up with Graham at the Warf and it was just the three of us, which we couldnt ask for more. He showed us all of the amazing up and coming spots from food to even a freaking distillery and we had a wonderful couple of hours with him. It really felt like a friend was coming along and letting you in on the amazing beer, pizzas, and dont forget FRIED CHICKEN AND WAFFLES!Graham was such a wonderful guide and the ultimate sweetheart. But I knew I was going to get photography lessons (it says so in the description) so he gave me a few pointers regarding my iPhone camera.I recommend this to anyone who is interested in learning more about the youthful and younger culture of Santa Barbara and for the price, you will not be disappointed.Thank you so much Graham!
This tour was amazing! I mean what is better than brats (the sausage not the children) and wine?!! I mean seriously people, I had a great time tasting many different wines at the wine tasting rooms in SB. To be honest, I would have never known these places were even there had it not been for this tour. I mean, I am not a master wine drinker and such. I like it.. I drink it... Thas about it, but this tour was super informative and lead me to great places with great tasting wines. Now, I already knew I was going to enjoy this tour...Well, I assumed I would enjoy it since I took their Funk Zone tour last year and loved the food and the beverages (mainly the beverages WOOHOO). Hey if you are a so-mal-E-A or if you just like having a little wine buz in the afternoon, I suggest checking this out!!...... Plus there are brats...again, I am talking about the sausage...meat... yes it is a selling point for us men. Anyway, check it out!
I had the pleasure of going on Eat This, Shoot Thats Wine Tour a few weeks ago and had a great time! I went on their food tour year or so ago and loved it, so definitely wanted to check out this new offering. I am a Santa Barbara local and generally hit up the Funk Zone for wine tasting, but this tour takes you to a different part of town. I had actually never been to any of the tasting rooms on this tour, so that made it even more exciting! There are so many hidden gems in this town! All of the wines we tasted were really excellent (there were many!). We also enjoyed some brats at Hoffmann Brat Haus and I particularly loved the cheese plate from Cest Cheese. In between all the wine stops, we got little tidbits of history as we walked through the Presidio. For a perfect finish, our last tasting was in the very snazzy, Polo-inspired tasting room of Happy Canyon Vineyard. We enjoyed their Piocho Red Blend paired with a locally made chocolate. All of this to say, I highly recommend this tour for locals and visitors alike!
Was this worth $79? NO! Should you get this for your spouse/friend who likes eating and photography? NO! My wife got this for me since I love taking pictures.... read details if youd like.We were there over the memorial weekend 2015. Guide was friendly but he wasnt really informative and nor good at getting people together. Selection of wine and food was very limited and restrictive so if you dont like what they have selected for you, tough luck. Of four people, two of them opted out in turn because we werent happy with drink options. Who wants just sparkling wine three glasses in a row? And food was good but definitely not enough. We were hungry so went to eat afterwards. The WORST part is that this was misleading. This was eat this, drink that tour if anything else. Entire time we were talking, I was thinking, theyre going to take us to some awesome spot where we can take some good pictures!!!! I should have known when the guide didnt even have a camera on him. I brought my D3200 with wide lens and 300mm lens so that I can be prepared for any situation. At the last stop, couple of us asked about what about shoot that portion? And then guide said take out your iphones and take picture of your food... which really isnt photography unless youre one of those people must post every food you eat! When another lady at the tour asked about tips we were supposed to get, the only tip provided was turn on HDR on your iphone...... SERIOUSLY..... lol What if you got Android or Nikon D3200? I dont think it comes with HDR....If they presented this as eat and wine tour, they would get gotten 3~4 stars.... 4 stars if they had more food and 5 star perhaps if they had flexibility on the drinks. Its not hard to say choose between two pre-selected options. in fact at the last stop, they had bloody mary & sliders. My wife & another member in my group hate tomatoes so she asked for Sprint instead since no drink substitution was allowed. And they refused to even give her tiny slider we are supposed to get. So we ended up sharing tiny sliders we got... what a rip off! LOLThis was worth maybe $40~$45. And completely misleading. They did have couple good spots and decent drinks but not worth $79. They need to set people straight on their expectations and put up the menu so that we can expect what well get and that you wont be taking real photography pictures, just food pictures for your FB.
