Theres so much to say and visit about Golden Gate Park, that I feel I wont do it justice from just sharing my experiences. If you look on a map or gaze down from any of the view spots in the city such as Grand View Park, you can truly appreciate how magnificent this park is. It pretty much takes up a huge chunk of San Francisco, and from an elevation, all you will see is dense forest engulfing the city.

Located deep in the heart of the SB Westside. Equipped with a public restroom, a playground, and picnic areas. Tends to attract unsavory characters who loiter along the split rail fence bordering the creek.

The playground is good, but the park is ok at best and has the feeling of being gritty... Like maybe a place you wouldnt be surprised to find broken glass/40oz bottles or a used needle on the ground. There are regularly folks hanging out drinking booze (often juveniles) of one type or another. Overall, there are plenty of better options if you dont mind a 5 minute drive.

Wanted to walk down to the play area but there were 7-10 questionable guys loitering on the stairs. I didnt want to walk my children past them. Did not know what they were doing, if you catch my drift.

I use to go there a lot. Good times. The man I took the roses were showing and they are back in season.. Happy times b fore all the drama that comes with relapsing. Moving on.

New playground will be added May 2016. No wheelchair or stroller access on San Andres. There is an abandoned nature trail there with a rock path across the creek. The new playground at Bohnett Park serves the same age group as the old playground: five-year-olds to 12-year-olds. The new equipment does include a bay of bucket swings for two- to five-year-olds, so younger children can join in the fun.The playground features a main play structure, a climber, and two bays of swings. The entire playground area is surfaced with pour-in-place rubber with a colorful path design. The playground equipment at Bohnett Park was last replaced in 2006, in keeping with the roughly ten-year replacement cycle for City playgrounds.
