I like this theater, nice staff, nice seats, clean restroom and some sits on the fountain in front of the theater

Nice little theater on State Street. Nothing fancy, but the theater is perfectly located if you want to catch a show while it and about in downtown Santa Barbara.

Very beautiful outside ! I don’t know if the cinema is really cool, but the building, old fashioned design is so cool !

This is a good venue for indie movies. Screens are only a little smaller than average and the seating is okay. Cant beat the location.

Pretty cool, saw Zombiland double tap and john wick chapter 3 here. Im sure I shouldnt complain about this but just a heads up I think my ticket was over $11 but suppose thats to be expected.

Good small 2 screen theater. Screens are small, so bring you binoculars. Locals seems to like. ;)

This place is a bit run down and could use a remodel, but the people are nice. Theres 2 single bathrooms downstairs and more up stairs. No water fountain downstairs (again, you have to go upstairs), or you can get a free cup of water from the candy counter. Just a couple of theaters. The one we went in only had one way in/out. (Most theaters these days have 2 exits, dont they?) Overall its fine, but dont expect much.

The bathrooms were filthy and stunk. The tap water tasted like mold. It made a perfect place to watch The Joker, it was as dirty as the scenes in the movie.

I volunteered opening night Gala for the SBIFF .

I bought my tickets online because the movie had just came out and I wanted to make sure I got to see it. The lady was very rude and was trying to rush me out. she also said that I had to print the ticket when it said online that they could scan it from my phone. will not be coming here again.

Saw a movie in the Metro 1 theater. Great small theater, with good sound system.So my friend and I learned, that the way this place is set up, is that Metro 1, 2, 3, and 4 are all under one roof. 4 movies can run concurrently! Great experience seeing movies here for the Santa Barbara Film Festival

Good place! Not high tech! Not fancy! No recliners! Buying tickets cannot be done online and in person is slooowww! But its location location location... Near eating and parking and the fun of downtown!

Very nice small cinema polite staff. Getting out was tough no staff present front door stuck and slams loudly use due care exiting but would go back again

Nice place, not too crowded at night, the area is beautiful, but dont watch 3D movies, they dont look good, or maybe the glasses are cheap, i dont recomend 3D here.

Metro 4 is more like a small town movie theater than a bright and beautiful new theater. Theaters seat between 300 and 500. The thing I like about the Metro 4 is that its convenient if you just want to grab a quick movie. The thing I dont much care for is that you dont get that Hollywood, Big Movie, Big Deal feeling when you see a movie there.

Small and slightly ageing, but the employees are nice and helpful, the popcorn is delicious and the ticket price is low. Would definitely return.

Convenient and centrally located on the other side of a parking garage. The theater floors are clean but the seats are very dirty old and worn. Sound system is good and the projections were good too.

Its a mediocre movie theater. If you go during the middle of the week its pretty empty. Unless its a AAA title on opening day getting to there 15 min before will allow you to practically pick any seat. The seating is technically stadium and there are some restrooms downstairs. However, the main bathrooms are up a flight of stairs.

Some of the screens are small. 3D glasses are way more compatible for the people who cant see without glasses than the AMC 3D glasses.

This theatre has a small concession stand but beyond that it is one of the best theatres in the city the seats and theatres actually very clean and the floor staff is really nice.

Old Santa Barbara movie house playing all the new movies in velour seated comfort with a great sound system and an unfailingly polite staff. Also features an elevator for mobility impaired patrons.

Metro 1 & 4 have only 150 seats each, Metro 2 has about 250, and Metro 3 has about 350. So if youre planning to see a popular movie, check which one its playing in, and that should help you decide how early you need to arrive to avoid being turned away. Some of these theaters have entry into the aisles only from one side. At least one but not all of the theaters, have a second-row feature where the seat slides forward so you can look up at the screen easier.

Basic movie theatre, staff is very sweet. I left my kids jackets, and they carefully stored them until I came back to claim them.
