This is a fantastic place to watch a movie! I love theaters like this. The theater was very impressive and the staff was very courteous and pleasant. There was also a very beautiful widescreen that has a very nice sound. I also love the classic films they showed! This experience was truly a remarkable one!
Visited from out of town and had never heard of the chain before. Nice theater complex, although a tad dated in some parts. The concessions could use a little more expanding and what’s with the no free refills on large popcorn and fountain beverages? Auditorium had great sound quality and was spread nicely in regards to seating so enjoy the show! #toystory4 #kidatheart
So fun to go to a movie! Very adequate physical distance provisions. Popcorn was great...staff conformed to Covid restrictions.
Very good place to enjoy our loved ones. Cozy, I was with my children watching frozen 2, very good movie, we ate popcorn, which is never missing when watching a movie. The architecture is very beautiful.
Very outdated movie watching experience. Locals dont have much choice here unless a more modern chain buys it up someday. Many people dont know or mind because they havent experienced what is out there in most of the country. Ventura /Oxnard is a better choice. Still has first come first served seating so you have no idea what to expect on any type of busy night. Even concessions are bare minimum. Hard to believe in a wealthy town like Santa Barbara, that we dont compete with any typical city in the US.
It’s a small and basic movie theater with a lot of character. I saw Free Solo here and enjoyed it. There’s no frills here but that’s why it’s so affordable. I was able to bring my blankets and socks in with me without being harassed too, which was awesome for me. They seem to have some cool films here. So I’m definitely looking forward to coming back.
Excellent movie theater. Watched Polar Express with my 3 year old and it was awesome.
Dangerously loud for children (or anyone). We took our three year olds to see Toy Story 4 at a 12:30pm showing. They and several other children were holding their ears from the start. We asked the manager to turn the volume down and they replied that they actually turned it up extra high on purpose for kid movies because kids talk so much.We left, much to the disappointment of our kids. The theatre did agree to give us a refund.Read OSHA decibel guidelines and you will understand how disturbing my decimal meter reading is for this theatre.*Google is not publishing the photo of my decibel reading. The high was 121db and average over 100db
It is a small theater with a good variety of snacks, amazing location and good shape chairs and structure in general.
Very cool little theater. They have multiple screens. With a parking lot above them its easy to park and walk down to the theater. You do have to pay for parking but the first 75 minutes is free. Its located right on State Street.so theres many options of restaurants and shops and makes a good date night location. Easy walking distance from Paseo Nuevo. The concession stand is a little small. But you can get everything you typically need for a movie.
Fiesta 5 is one of my favorites!Stadium seating and courteous friendly staff.Metropolitan Theatres is a great company and ambassador for the movie industryMetropolitan deserve kudos for hiring people with disabilities and allowing them to take part in the process of having productivity in life.Visit the big screen and help our economy grow!
Love the retro feeling but in serious need of new seats
It was good...the movie, The Art of Racing in the Rain cant wait to see it again...
Fine seating and snacks. Fairly empty on a Sunday night.
Parking lot is right above it, very reasonable. The theater is pretty clean, good quality, the usual overpriced munchies. $25 Tix for 1 adult 2 kids + $25 for 2 small kids combos and a Gatorade. Nothing bad to say - the staff was smiling and friendly. The worst part about it is stepping around the many homeless and over their stuff on the short walk down the alley from the parking garage
Well managed theater. Projection was top notch
Nice spot to see a movie. No Hassel. Good parking garage super close. Right on state so you can go for a walk afterward.Seats are semi comfy.
Older smaller multiplex theatre, but with modern searing upgrades, in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara.
Really nice people work here. The place is a little out dated but the seats are nice and comfy! Good theater
Just a small town theater vibe with a good variety of movies. Sometimes popular and/or family, sometimes independent/hard to find. Appreciate the variety.
Good picture. Good sound, not too loud not too low
It was great. We saw Black Panther. The sound was terrific & everyone was cheerful & helpful. Had to walk from public parking about a block away so leave a little extra time as finding a parking spot was time consuming.
Great place to watch a movie!
Enjoyed our evening in Santa Barbara, including this movie house
Amazing theater, honestly the best movie theater in Santa Barbara. Amazing customer service and just overall amazing seating and movies. Great place for a afternoon time watching movies.
Not the most modern theater. It is nice enough, but as far as it goes in Sb, I think it must be the 2nd oldest one in town and I havent seen much in regards to up grades. My seat was comfortable and the AC was nice on such a warm day.
Best sound Ive heard in a theater. Clear, extremely well balanced, vivid.
One Of The Best Movie Experiences Ive Had*****
Fair enjoyed movies movie goers could help keep the place cleaner by discarding their own trash on the way out otherwise it is a good theater
Adams family great for kids
Nice theater. Not many video games for kids to play. But overall. Enjoy every visit.
Its downtown. Use muni parking.
Great theater!! Wonderful help! Very friendly!! Highly recommend!!
The movie theatre is basically the same as most others. However, I am a regular movie goer and I was more bothered than normal with the number and length of the commercials and then the number of preview clips. I understand the commercials are an important revenue source, however, with the live streaming and better TVs you will loose me as a customer with the long commercials. This is not directed negatively at Fiesta 5 it is directed at movie theatres in general.I am not sure where it bends the curve in your industry, however, my guess is that if you loose a regular customer they are hard to get back once they figured out a better way to see a movie.
Gross seats the kinda theater you definitely want to never go while the lights are still on
I really enjoy movies at this place
Met a super nice man at a #MeetUp who gave me a ride home since the bus didnt run when#Deadpool2 got out.
We were in time for the feature Lady Bird which was interesting. The theatre is well maintained and the staff is pleasant.
All seats have a great view of the screen. Great sound.
That a perfect place to stay with my family .....
Hidden theater. Great ac, snacks more limited than others but overall great place
Its an okay movie theater with a number of screens. There is a pay public lot just next door so that makes it convenient and its typically not busy. But its not stadium seating and the audio is far from amazing.
Film festival delight- recommend to all
Cool to park above the movie theater and be right on State Street too. Clean theater wit nice staff
Went to see Girls Trip on Thursday and it was not crowded and very comfortable seating.
Fiesta 2 theater holds 250 seats, better than the Metro 1 & Metro 4 which only hold 150 each, so you have more chance of getting in the theater if the movie is popular. Access to seats from both sides of the aisle. Somewhat stadium seating. Cupholders in armrest.
Clean, the employees are very nice there, and friendly.
It could be improved, but great location with planty of free parking.
An old theater but the seats are pretty new and comfortable
Great place to watch movies
This theater deserves some remodeling a long long time ago .....
Audio and video quality is good.
Nice small theatre. Usually not too crowded.
Older theater with no seat reservation. Not that many options in the area.Hope they will upgrade their theaters like mostly everyone else
Comfy seats...nice surround sound
Comfortable, clean, good sound, good height separation between rows so its easy to see the screen.
Seats were a 4/5 for comfort. I hate having to butter my own popcorn but most places around here are like that. Popcorn is expensive, a small is 6$
Its a quality theater with a good amount of movie selections and it has a good amount of seating. It has the typical prices for a movie theater at the snack bar and over all its a good theater to visit.
This place hasnt changed in 25 yrs!! Same old small concession stand. Only thing different is the ticket machine at the entrance. This place NEEDS a face lift!!
The theatre is a little old, a little dirty from age and use, but the staff was very nice (especially for working on Christmas eve) and the location is great.
A cozy and relatively inexpensive movie theater tucked right into the heart of Santa Barbara.
Wow! Movies!Technology is so great...
Theatres are so depressing, and this isnt any better. Its fine for seeing a movie but not a destination spot.
Uncomfortably hot. We went to an evening showing during the week, not more than 10-12 people in the theater max. It was uncomfortably hot and many people were fanning themselves as we watched the previews so my husband went out to ask a worker to turn on the AC. No one ever came in to fix it. Half way through the movie it became so uncomfortable someone else went out to ask them to adjust the temperature, but there wasnt a worker anywhere to be found (not at the snack bar or the ticket counter). At the end of the movie we wanted to find someone to point is to a manager so we could complain so hopefully no one else would have to suffer and still absolutely NO ONE that worked there was around. It was bizarre. The seats were comfortable enough and the movie selection is good, but the service has always been lacking at this theater so I finally decided to write a review after many experienced like this one. Youre better off heading out to the movie theater in Goleta by Costco or the one at Paseo Nuevo if you can.
Close to good placed to eat. Convenient parking.
New movies come out on Thursdays. Great place for movies.
Excellent place to take the kids!
Overall ok but seats a little used and too much cold air from the aircon
Good experience watching wonder woman here!
Standard movie theater experience. Overpriced popcorn and snacks, but decent seating and clean bathrooms.
Convenient location on State St.
Nice theater with comfortable seating
Favorite theaters in town to watch good movies
Volume too high.
It was a fun movie
VERY BIG SCREEN! I love the houses and stars in the theater!
The staff wasnt too nice. The lady who was in charge asked me not to go sit down because they were cleaning but the movie was starting in 10 mins...
Nice place to watch a movie
Small but quality audio
