Shallow area for little ones to play, not as crowded as other spots. Were able to park close to the water.. Had fun..

Breathtaking views. A photographer’s dream. A quaint little place to enjoy with your family and friends. We drove back the following weekend so that our other son and his family could enjoy it. (2 1/2 trip one way) We will definitely be back again. Making memories.

Beautiful little Park that runs along the San Marcos River. People go to swim, fish or boat and enjoy the outdoors. It is one of the few lighted pathes in a public park in town, so that once the sun goes down you can see where youre running or walking or jogging. Lots of things to see and do. Baseball fields, swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball courts and the River. Great place to hangout.

This park is one of San Marcos best family park . And skate boarding swings,and fun. Id advise yall to check this park out.

Beautiful park where you can rent a float and hang out with friends and family in the local river, have a picnic and enjoy nature. Pet friendly.

A great place to relax and fish,swim,or just people watch, this is where the Lions club tube rental starts. There is also a really nice venue here that we rent 4 family reunions,theres a small area 4 the kids 2 play with swings and slides and stuff like that.

Good flow and constant temp year round, crystal clear water

In my opinion, this is the best park in town. It’s a great place to bring dogs that aren’t shy of water, and get some peace and quiet away from the student dominated areas of the river. There’s some great cliff jumping spots, shallow and deep areas for all kinds of swimmers.

One of my favorite parks. Has a beautiful river running through it with several paths connected with bridges. Great for hiking, swimming, and running.

Tubing was very relaxing... Family friendly too!

One of the gems of San Marcos. Just dont visit on weekends. Wayyyyyy to many people during the summer. Hop in for a swim, relax and get a beer at Ivans River Pub.

We entailed upon training by the Bobcat Stream Team Water Quality Monitoring for the San Marcos River and this experience is and always will be marvelous as a certification will be submitted. This was my second training by the Stream Team. During my Texas Master Naturalist certification back on 9 September 2017 we embarked on AT training learnig the Conductivity, feild testing waster with Dissolved Oxygen and Ph, water temperature and othrr scientific parameters. I loved every part and plan on being appointed a monitor location for a monthly or weekly interval.

Became very strict. We used to have fun and enjoy cooking on small bbq pit but now thatd not allowed either. Will still go for the river but will eat before we go now.

River tubing permitted. No foldable tables allowed orb grills but other than that I like it.

Kid friendly river area!

Always light up and busy with the woundeful softball and baseball games.

My boys swam here with me watching at bay, the water was clear. Husband caught and release small fish. Lots of shade, it was nice well be coming back.

Beautiful wildlife/nature restoration project. Wide open green spaces with easy access to the water.

This facility is overpriced and poorly maintained, for the $6 admission they charge this place should be one of the nicest ballparks around!

Its okay, Im not from this area and found it weird that there was not a dedicated trail to walk the perimeter of the park and sadly due to irresponsible people there was a lot of wrappers in the picnic areas and therefore the only birds I saw were buzzards ALOT of buzzards if you block out the trash the views of the water is really the reason to come here!
