Nicely planned out, with children areas by age group. Large play structures encourage imagination and play. My granddaughter had a great time there. Really good ride like structures that are a lot of fun.

This park is so awesome! My children love it and so do I. There is a section for small children 2-5 including joint swings where you may swing with your baby. (so cute!)The other section is big enough for adults to play with their children as well. The theme is pirate/mermaids. There are two zip line swings and several balance walks and monkey bars. Lots of place for hide and seek fun too!Bathrooms and picnic tables make it perfect for staying as long as you like.

My children and I both are extremely satisfied with this park! It is very clean, safe, and fun for kids of all ages. It was remodeled a few years back and was a definite upgrade. It has two different play areas. One designed for younger children and the other for older kids. The part designated for the older kids is pirate themed and the one for the younger kids is a mermaid/under the sea themed. The park has many different attractions, too. It has 2 different types of zip lines, 2 different merry-go-rounds, a teeter totter, 2 swing sets (one swing set has mother/child swings), and the playground itself is awesome! Also, it is right next to the river where children enjoy feeding the fish. All around, a great place for the kids to have fun! I highly recommend this park. Have fun!

Its a very large park. The ground is safe and squishy. Not as many people wear masks as they should, but thats not the parks fault. There a lot for kids to do here. But probably not the best place to go people overly cautious about COVID.

We love going to this park. Kids from 2-10 always have a great time and don’t want to leave. They have something everyone there is picnic tables to sit on and bathroom and water fountain right in front. Too bad we don’t live closer to this beautiful playground.

Incredibly Fun and Disability Accessible Childrens ParkThis is an award winning, huge, aquatic themed, childrens park set next to old, beautiful trees and picnic tables. Theres a pirate ship, mermaids, a cave, and really everything necessary to inspire the imagination.Its also thoughtfully laid out- theres an under 5 section which is specifically designed for little ones and a larger older kid section with more challenging and exciting equipment. Young or old, kiddos will love it. The place is very clean and the equipment is well designed and in working older. Im honestly stunned at how nice the place is and how many things there are to do- slides, climbing walls, zip lines, various see-saws, rope courses, underground play spaces, swings, etc. The place is perfect for floor is lava and any other games you might come up with.But the most impressive part of the park is how accessible it is. There are numerous areas designed for disability including a wheelchair accessible swing, an adult size swing and zip line seat with restraints, braille walls teaching the alphabet, sound play equipment, and many areas of play space accessible by ramps. Equally important, the floor is a solid rubber material instead of mulch or other loose material that would be hard/impossible to navigate with mobility aids. I truly appreciate the citys efforts to utilize universal design here and welcome all youngsters.Note- bathrooms with running water, picnic tables, and water fountains are available here. No dogs are allowed in the play areas.

Theres a few big playscapes and its all enclosed so seems safer for the kids. The play area could definitely use more shade.

I love that it is pretty much contained so easier to keep track of your children. There are trees to sit under. They have updated several features with a mister (in the mermaid). They separate out the 5-12 year olds and the 5 and under but you can easily move between the two and see each other. Parking is always a challenge here but is a great place to play!

I just had a great time with family at this playground. Its one of the safest parks Ive been to. And its right on the river walk, so if youre ever bored of the park (I doubt you will be) you and your family or friends or whoever can take a calming walk to see the river life.

We miss the old structure built by the Lions Club, but the new structure is pretty fantastic and the kids loved it. It’s safer and more secure with lots of great activities.

Ive taken all of my friends and family to this park now because its just one of the best I found in a long time, what the river so close by this place stays really green and nice.Its a very well maintained park, different sections for different age groups of children and plenty of things that still make it fun for the adults too.at night its also well lit, although Im not sure of a curfew. Its a great place to meet with friends whether it be occasionally or for a full day of picnic and play!

Tons of equipment for the kids to play on, including slides and swings and a merry-go-round. They have a special 2-5yr old area, and plenty of wheelchair-friendly swings and things like that. Theres something for kids of all ages and abilities. This was absolutely worth the 45min drive for us.

This pace is amazing - possibly one of the best parks in Texas. As a father of 5, weve been to LOTS of parks around the world. We visited this place while my wife and oldest daughter shopped at the nearby outlets, and the kids just played and played and played! Nice work, San Marcos!

*EDIT* Yeah, this place is terrible to go to now. So terribly packed!!!I love that park is inclusive for all children but there isnt nearly enough things to do for how crowded the park is all the time. We frequented the park before the remodel and still do but now there is never any parking (with the exception of street parking. Which is quite far from the actual park). We purchased a personalized picket which is a really nice touch.

Park has every cool feature that Ive ever encountered at other parks, all in one. I love it. Kids love it! We go often

This place is alot of fun. Everytime we drive through San Marcos we stop here. I can actually run around with my son on the playground bc there is enough space to walk up on the structures. There are a couple of water misters for those really hot days. Also, the wheel chair accessible swings and ramps make this place friendly for everyone.

This is one of the nicest playgrounds I have ever been to. There are different sections for different ages, and the older kids area has so much stuff! The only downside is that there isnt a ton of shade, so make sure to sunscreen before you come.

Awesome place to take your kids! They have playground equipment for infants as well. We threw my daughter her first birthday here and it was a great time. Only hang-up was that they dont have any grills to BBQ with, and parking is extremely limited. Other than that it was a fun time

Cute little park for people of all ages. Even though the park itself isnt pet friendly for safety and sanitary reasons, the area outside is. Nice place to just sit, relax, and hang out.

The only reason I didnt mark a five is the lack of parking close. Dont park illegally or youll get a ticket, saw it happen to a bunch of people today who felt the grass was a good parking spot. It has a great play ground with swings, tire swings, rope swings and accessable swings. Two places to play for little ones up to 5 and big kids. Its fenced all around but the entrance. There is a water fountain with multiple spigots and one for dogs. Dogs are not allowed on the playground though. There is a restroom but its not that great. They need some updates but generally clean. Bring a picnic and eat there or walk down by the water. Play as long as you want because they turn on lights so you can play when the sun goes down.

This is a must see if youre visiting. This park is easily a million dollar park, and probably the best FREE park in Texas. There is so many amazing features for the senses. As parents, we had a great time watching the kids discover all the treasures in this park. After a long day on the river, this was a great way to end the night. I would be here every day if we were local. A true gem in San Marcos.

Awesome place for the kiddos. Soft padded ground pa Los chikillo so they dont get hurt if the fall. Its also fenced in.

Very nice park over all. Childrens play area clean with various energetic equipment and 2 age sections of play equipment. River was clean with lots of lively people. The only issue I had was law enforcement on the paths along the river. The paths are not wide enough to fit both pedestrians and drive quads. I did not feel safe having my family walking not knowing if we were going to get hit by a fast driving law enforcement on a quad. My kids couldnt stop to look at nature in fear of being ran over. Officials need a safer plan to patrol so innocent people dont get injured.

This place is simply the coolest park ever! I even played on the playground with my boys and siblings.

Were out of town visitors. I randomly found this park on the map. Im so glad we stopped here. The equipment is great. Friendly environment. Would go again if we lived here.

Its most definitely not made out of wood anymore, however, it hasnt lost too much of its local charm. All its missing is a cover over the playground to keep the children from boiling under the Texas sun. Seriously, its toasty. But hey, it has some phenomenal trees for great shade. And they have a couple spouts for spraying water into the air so your body doesnt over heat.

Really enjoy going here a good alternative to Zilker park. It has a whole bunch of play areas that are not found anywhere else. I like the updated playground, rubber floor makes falls easier, zip line, water sprayers on hot days, the fact that it is closed in to one exit makes it easier to watch your smaller children. If there was a down side it would be the parking. We will visit this park again as it is fairly close to south Austin and Buda.

We were so glad we found this park! Its a beautiful hidden gem in the loveliest part of Tyler. Such a special memorial to lost children. The statuary is gorgeous. The water features are beautiful and relaxing. There is no formal playground but our grandchildren loved running and playing throughout the park. They also loved climbing on all the different objects as well. Just a beautiful place! Thank you to all the families and sponsors.

Playing tag here is fun, hurdling over small kids and breaking their ankles will never get old. Except for the odd looks their parents give when the kids start crying. If the parents do that just break their ankles too.

Great childrens park in San Marcos!! Very clean and lots to do, my nephews loved it!!! Begged to go back one more time before they left to go back home to CA.

Honestly the only decent playground around. Despite that, interesting and fun. I have three kids - 11yo, 8yo, 6mo - something for everyone.

Such a great park with plenty of things to do! I love that they had more than your standard playground equipment and there was a lot of adaptive equipment as well. Two things I wish they had were more parking (I sincerely hope they plan to add more because street parking is rather far) and big kid swings in the 2-5 year old section but overall, it was very enjoyable!

This place really is great. Two parts in one really, half designated for toddlers and the other for bigger kids.I really enjoy bringing my son it here too burn off some of that endless energy. Lots of area and structure for kids to really use their imaginations.

Nice park for kids of all ages. It has been renovated in the last few years. It has more swings and less castle structures. Great swing zip line available for brave kids. I deducted a star for the confusing entrance. I went her with my family recently and was surprised that there is only one hidden entrance by the bathrooms. I was used to the older wooden playscape. There used to be multiple entrances from the parking lot.

My favorite park from the seguin, New Braunfels and San Marcos area. It’s great for kids all ages, it’s big and clean.

I love to take my small son to this park. There are lots of things for them to play with and do. Parking is a bit cramped but youll love this with your kids believe me.

The ground material is very nice. The surrounding fence is great. My little one loves the misters, rock climbing wall, slides, giant sit n spin, and the roller coaster swing! Nice wheel chair swing! Near the river.

The family loves this park. Im glad they finally remodeled the park it was well needed. At this park alone there are 4 pokestops including a gym. Just a tid bit for pokemon go fans. Overall amazing scenery, and great trail by the river for the family.

This Park is amazing! Completely remodeled, and reopened May 19th 2018. Soft rubber play mat throughout, stairs and ramps everywhere, Two separate play areas for larger, and smaller children, Parent infant combo swings, cool water mist area, percussion instruments, bridges and slides, and much more to entertain, and tire out your little persons.

Inclusive park for everyone. Safe, padded large hand objects activities. Great shades picnic table area. NO charcoal grills, propane only

Having two kids that are eight years apart usually makes it hard to find a play area that is appropriate for both. I am really glad they enclosed the facility because I can not worry about them on the backside of the playscapes, more than usual at least. The details were great on each that made it fun to explore with the little and the big. We ended up meeting with several families band having a blast. Have fun and be prepared to not want to leave.

They have multiple safe games and attractions for all kids ages. It is surrounded with a fenced area and close to the river. It for sure will keep your kids entertained.

Recently renovated children’s park. Lots of toys to play with for kids 10 and under. It is clean and well maintained with a bathroom that is normally open. Plenty of parking and only a short walk to rio vista for river access.

It is an amazing park for children of all ages and capabilities. They have a section that is just obstacles, a huge cave, pirate ship crows nest, and a little theater. For the little kids they have a baby/toddler section. As a parent you definitely have to be willing to walk around with your kids because it is so big.

Upgrade is wonderful and much safer for the kids. Great place for kids to run off some energy.

Almost 3 hours of playing and she still did not want to go home.
