Beautiful beautiful place!! It feels like a snow resort / lodging with giant fireplace and beautiful art work. I saw a small nook that some were working out of.. would definitely like to come back. Now besides the beauty of the place the staff is just fantastic. Its very evident that every single person working here truly cares about what they do.. beyond helpful and friendly, the staff went out of their way to help out the visitors time after time.. fantastic place!
Open to public and free public schedule tours with reservations check the website. Though theres exhibits with pictures that explains about the place. One big lounge area with fireplace to sit and enjoy the ambience of the place. Theres a restaurant to provide sustenance and can be use as a reception area for weddings held at the Presidio chapel.
Loved the place!Presidió officers’ club covers all the history of the region in a very well put out museum setting. The docent on site was really knowledgable, helpful and enthusiastic about the helping us and showing us around. The public room is a beautiful place with great architecture. Really love sitting there to work, relax.
We happened upon this now-museum as we strolled through the Presidio forwards the Golden Gate bridge. The special exhibit happened to be the treatment of the Japanese during World War II/the aftermath of Pearl Harbor. The exhibits were thoroughly captivating and we even had the fortune of having one of the volunteers walk us through several sections of the museum. Well worth an hour or so of your time!
A great place for locals and visitors to enjoy learning more about our culture and military history. Many places (free) to sit and enjoy the pleasant ambiance of this, one of the oldest buildings in San Francisco. Much inside this building is pleasant and enjoyable. A nice restaurant.
The old Presidio Officers Club has been refurbished into a nice museum, educational center, and restaurant. This year, they have a nice exhibit about the internment of Japanese-American citizens during World War 2, when the Presidio was a US Army base. Free admission. There is a fee for car parking, but there is also a free shuttle bus from BART to the Presidio and you can easily walk here from the Marina district.
Wonderful way to enjoy lunch and walk along the beautifully landscaped grounds.Yes, I recommend this location.
Coming here is stepping back into history. In fact when this place was restored some of the original bricks were left in their original state so that the public could see them. There is currently an event space, a restaurant, classrooms & a space for pertinent exhibitions here.
Museum is great. Restaurant looked and smelled wonderful. Did eat there due to other plans.
Great place to check out some San Francisco history. There is free transportation available in the park and lots of hiking and biking trails to explore. Mexican cuisine fine dining at Aguello.
Free interactive history and cultural museum that is fun or kids and adults. Good restaurant and cheap and easy parking. Views of the bay too!
The Presidio Officer’s Club is a nice building rich in history (few people working there have any clue) and it has a little Mexican restaurant. I recommend participating in one of the San Francisco City Guides tours if you’re interested in learning more about the Presidio. The tours are free and depending on the guide you get, they are great.
A great place to visit on your tour of San Francisco. I went with my wife and dad who served in the USAF for 25+ years. So as we toured the facility it certainly felt nostalgic and took us back to a different time in our US History. The facility itself is minimally appointed, but there is a nice, if not brief, tour that you can do on your own. One of the best kept secrets though is the restaurant Arguello inside. After your done with the Officers Club you should definitely walk down the hill and take some amazing pics in front of the Golden Gate bridge!
Free museum accessible and history well documented a treasure from US Parks to SF.
Great food and great service! Love the ambiance and the lounge room next to the restaurant! Almost like a little escape from the city life.
Great history, exceeded expectations and the restaurant is good, too.
Beautiful venue for an event, classic simplicity.
Excellent communication, super fast shipping. Great service thank you
Good museum about the Presidio. Good temporary exhibit about the Japanese exclusion act.
So grateful this place in history continues to make history with their many exhibits and presentations
Beautiful location. Some really cool exhibits.
An amazing little museum and great views of the Golden Gate bridge. Also, a free shuttle service down to the bridge!! A great place to visit and a cheap way to get around San Francisco.
Excellent venue to view exhibits. Courteous, knowledgeable staff and the surroundings bring a sense of nostalgia.
Unique programs and lectures. Rotating exhibits relevant to our history. Superb restaurant Arguello. Historical setting is the star draw!
..came for a private end-of-year social..on a beautiful SF sunny day..clean, helpful people, delicious meal!
Interesting place to learn the history. Sad history of America and local tribes.
The museum is not very large or contain anything especially interesting. What I like about the place is the great room. Very quiet and a great place to read or get work done. There is free WiFi and not many people come here. Also there is a restaurant next door if you want to grab a cocktail or get some food.
Was bowled over. A must see... that has to be put on your list. Elegant, awe inspiring, beautiful and rich in military history and tradition.
Great location and price for events!
A good place to relax for a bit.
Very nice brunch menu, including vegetarian options, very amenable to substitutions and flexibility. Unfortunately there were problems in execution of those substitutions, two of six meals had to be sent back, in one instance just gave up and ordered a new item. Really felt like it was just an off day for a few of the service staff but it was our first time there so we had no previous experience to fall back on. Great drinks, all star Bloody Mary. If wed had a few more we would have totally missed the other issues.
Kool place to go. A lot of history in this place.
Really great place to chill with your laptop by the fireplace. Its incredibly beautiful and serene! Im so happy to have stumbled into this find.
And oh wow, I attended a wedding reception and this venue offered a beautiful, cozy and historical ambience complete with photos of the past. As this is part of the museum, it offers galleries of San Francisco communities and military history.
Beautiful old building, small, interesting exhibits, beautiful setting, nice bar, high prices
One of the greatest venues in the Bay Area! All I can say is go see it for yourself! Education, history, reality, special events, exhibits, coctail lounge (for those who enjoy their spirits!) & much more! Thanks Presidio!
The exhibit describing the interment of Japanese Americans is thought provoking. The museum is well displayed. The docents are friendly and helpful.
Without table service, this Mexican Bar is a good place to have a quick small bite. After, experience a big bite of local history at the exhibition halls of the Club.. The ambiance and staff makes it a place to revisit.
Nice history display of the area. It offers free tour of the club
Excellent location. Incredible views. Great food.
Really great place to spend some time. Soak up some well curated local history. Grab a bite to eat or just sit by the fire and read. All are not only available but encouraged.
Beautiful venue for events, with exhibits, and a great restaurant attached.
-Amazing chips and salsa/guacamole.-Needs more food options.-Friendly wait staff
A highly recommended place to visit. Its a museum with many exibits about the history of the place. containing with in it an adobe structure with the original wall exposed dating from 1776, Many tourist miss this place because of the name, it is no longer an officers club
Beautiful and great margaritas
Interesting museum that contains a lot of information and history of the area.
Great appetizers!! Very nice place for Mexican food and drinks. Staff members are great!
The Presidio in San Francisco is a fabulous place to visit. A stop at the visitors center and the officers club will highlite its history since it was founded in 1776 by The Anza Expedition from Mexico. It is located on San Francisco Bay at the base of the the Golden Gate bridge. It has seen much change over the years, but displays itself well. It is a beautiful area to enjoy and explore. You can go for the historical legacy, participate in the many family oriented activities, hiking, sports, etc, or just relax and enjoy the scenery and sounds and smells of the baylands.
Beautiful building. Inside is kind of museum you can find a lot of information about the missions.
Eruc the bartender is sweet and cute. Enjoyed chatting-great place
Saw my Dads name on a list of 120k japanese people who were incarcerated along with my aunt and uncle names ...very interesting place in history during world war 2.

Enjoyed the exhibits and restaurant. Learned so much about the Japanese encampment travesty.
Very nice place to eat. Awesome views. Very nice wait staff. Food was delicious.
Very pretty.
Good spot to eat after wandering around the old Army post.
Nice place for drinks/dinner if you are in the area. Easy to get to with parking or the Presidio Shuttle
This is an amazing space to have a conference. The view is incredible
Visited the location for a conference and loved the experience. Legend has it, one can see the Golden gate bridge from the conference hall... when the skies are clear.
Good for posterity, but just average.
Fantastic museum! Staff are very knowledgable, and exhibits are pretty cool. No one was there, the word hasnt really gotten out yet about its opening.
Great service to the community and the entire San Francisco. Terrific, free performances!
I went for an after hours Disney event and it was wonderful.
Favourite place for Free Friday evening music concerts and a very good and moderately priced restaurant is connected, Arguello by celebrity chef Tracy Desjardins.
Historic Spanish style building thats a nice place to stop by while in the presidio
Great place for a meeting or wedding. Very large rooms. The staff are very nice and the finger food is excellent.
