Even with a purple rating the trails were packed. Also saw a few people without masks...

There are few places in the ocean in which I like to fish. Im a lake, creek trout person. But, painting fishermen, casting and waiting patiently is as restful as fishing. Point Lobos has spray and splash, up from the rocks and early fog in which the scene disappears - the same as the So Cal channel side of the Wedge. This place is very cool! Go and check it out yourself - the views, the waves, the ocean, the rocks and the flowers are fabulous. Take a short beautiful Upper Sutro Bath trail - we were able to make it with 4-year kid.

Stunning! The parking lot across the street had broken glass from car break-ins in almost every parking space!! Like 20 spaces had glass! Park on the street instead or the parking lot at the top of the entrance to Point Lobos trail.

Nice walk if sunny, otherwise can be quite cold and windy. Great sunset when the weather cooperates.

Can look at the rock from a lookout. Tremendous view anyway.
