I love the atmosphere here. Slot of people come her to play tennis socialize and work on homework. This is one of the main recreational parks everyone seems to flock to on weekends, evenings and especially hot days. It includes a big playground sectioned off for the youngsters and lots of grassy hills dog owners bring their K9s to run around on. Water fountains and bathroom can also be found here.
Ive been in San Francisco for 34 years and I never get bored of visiting this park. This is a great place to sit alone, meet up with friends, or even to make friends. Either way, please mind your trash and help us to keep it clean and safe.Ill admit that I enjoy sitting up on the corner of 20th st, by the muni train stop, and blazing weed while sitting on a bench. Something about that view is especially pleasant to me, and its hard to argue against it, ha ha ha. Even if you dont smoke weed, the view is still absolutely beautiful...
Look like a nice place to go for a walk run or hike. I went through the park hoping to find a spot to take a picture of the Golden Gate bridge, but it did not seem like it was that type of place and part of the park was closed off for a special event. Go to Crissy Field if you want to get a great view of the city as well as tMission Dolores Park.
First time going here and Im a transplant from Texas and this park, while small in size was very lively and spacious given the space they do have. So diverse and i felt comfortable coming there. The have a playground, tennis courts, I think there were basketball courts? I cant recall but there was a small area where people skate. Great place. Cant wait to come back.
Everyone’s favorite city park! Must see for everyone visiting town. Small and not as many trees for shade as I’d like but stunning views, sunny for SF, and centrally located in the hip Mission neighborhood. There are public bathrooms and a water fountain. Grass can be totally soggy from watering so bring a waterproof blanket.
Before the techies took over this was a magical park that held sacred space for all of us locals growing up in the area. Once not too long ago the echoes of Congas and the ethereal singing of Santana and crew could be heard in the distance. Rolling down the hills I’m the daisies were amazing days filled with happiness.
Great place to hang out with friends, everyone is a different type of group. Great for people watching hah, lots of interesting crowds. Nice on a sunny day.Was there yesterday, and there were volunteers offering free mask.
Quintessential hippy SF park to go to for all SFy things. Toilet lines can be long potentially but still overall a great park. Makes a sunny day even better, grab some friends, some alcohol of choice, etc and enjoy the good vibes
When I first moved to the bay area and drove by Dolores park I thought there was a concert going on as I couldnt believe how many people were just hanging out on the grass, having a good time, etc. Now that Ive been here for awhile I am wiser. Dolores park is my favorite park to have a casual picnic, get together with friends, or just chill out. Its a must-do if youre visiting San Francisco, or just want to relax. I love that down the street there are so many restaurants, shops, and grocery stores that you can grab a snack and some wine before walking to Dolores park to eat there. You also get a nice birds eye view of the San Francisco city skyline. For the most part groups keep to themselves. The park is dog friendly, clean, has restrooms, and a mini-workout play ground in the center of it. Parking is a bit rough as its street parking and hard to come by, but if you keep combing the streets nearby youll find one. I came here during covid-19 and noncovid-19 times and both times had a blast! It seems for the most part people werent wearing masks, so if this a concern to you best to bring your own mask or avoid until the pandemic blows over.Dolores Park definitely has the best weather of any park in SF. It is always unseasonably warm and sunny when I come here.As a result its a favorite place to congregate and a safe space for residents to enjoy extra curricular activities that might be frowned upon in other places. In the summertime vendors roam through the park selling edibles, beers, and other things your DARE officer told you not to do.The people watching is unparalleled. The dogs are roaming freely and there is a park for kids (cannot guarantee your kids can unsee some of the things that happen at Dolores).Overall, this is a happy place with two hour street parking available around the perimeter. There is a group that does hula hOop dancing and now theres a new game where you throw a ball at a small trampoline. Theres is always something going on... including my fiancé losing losing control of his drone and flying it across the park literally to the side of ten road. Lol just another day.Great place to go with big group of friends or just a small group or just your dog or just you. One of the best places ever. At night the skyline is beautiful. I love you Dolores Park...stay high
Great place to relax by yourself or with family & friends. Lots of space to lay a blanket down and have a picnic. Parking is limited due to lack of public parking lot, so Id suggest to take public transportation or taxi/ride-share. Views of the city are awesome. Park is located blocks away from businesses, so you can buy food to bring to the park. Clean park, and has public restrooms. Also, grrat place to bring your dog to play
Such a beautiful vibing park to go to. Everyone seems happy and follow all guidelines to covid. Love the respect people have into keeping it clean and making a good experience for everyone. Oh cant forget the Gorgeous view of the city from up there!
Beautiful scenery of the city and the renovation they did to this park makes it more fun to hang out even in overcast weather. Also, its infuriating when big groups of people come and leave their garbage behind (was a regularly occurance w/ gorgeous weekend weather and festivals) but part of the renovation included recycling and trash bins. Hopefully people take note and handle their garbage accordingly. Speaking of, fair warning. If u do not like crowds, its a park to avoid on holiday weekends & especially when SF weather is sunny and warm (predominantly on weekends). Because it is central, it draws an enormous amount of folks during these periods.
I really enjoyed this park! Its huge, extremely spacious and well maintained. There is a big area for dogs run free, space for kids and big wooden tables under the trees for a relaxing picnic. :)When you reach the top you can have great views of the city, a landmark statue and a cool triangle structure that turns out to be one of parks entries. If I leave close by I would bring my dog every day! :)Definitely recommend visiting!
Mission Dolores Park is always a pleasant experience and friendly environment. Nice weather in SF last week, surprisingly the park had few people around. Enjoying time either by myself or with friends is fun. From the park is easy to visit Castro which is colorful and beautiful, also to go to Mission it is diverse, the community has plenty of cuisine, cafes and so on.On Summer, Dolores park has an area called “gay beach” where everyone enjoys time outside to play various games, listening different music and take that sun bath.
Had alot of fun with my family and dogs. Wish I lived closer to this beach I would probably come out daily with my doggies. It is one of the best dog beaches I have ever been to. Will be coming back soon. I highly recommend bringing your dogs here they will love it.
Spacious with plenty of seats available. The park is dog friendly & great for outdoor activities like workout, running, picnicking, etc.
Nice place to take a time off and break the routine. Great view toward the downtown, don’t come running
Beautiful park. Didnt smell gross. Loved the views. Great social distancing
Great location for a park hang, picnic, and people watching! Unique view of downtown and the bay
Clean, lovely park with spectacular views of downtown right in the Mission. There are a lot of dogs let loose by their owners as allowed by the park. A great place to come on the weekend with sunshine like weather and have a picnic. There is a childrens play area as well with lot of stuff to do.
One of the great locals parks of SF. Massive manicured green space with views of the skyline and painted houses. Whenever I have visited it has been loaded with fun people minding their own business doing their own fun thing. Dogs run and play, people have picnics, right along with some drinking games and music. Always successfully self-moderated. Love that about this part of town. Stop by.
Good experience at the park durinG COVID. Circles inscribed in parts of the park for social distancing. Definitely the peak of SF culture with lots of shops nearby. Grab some food and drinks then have a picnic nearby.
This is an awesome park with a great view of San Francisco! Me and my boyfriend stopped here after walking around and looking at some shops in the area. Highly recommend stopping here and relaxing or spending time with friends!
The park is beautiful and spacious and has a great view. However the company I was with made it awesome.
Best views, interesting people, but of course there is always at least one ranting homeless person. Be aware of your surroundings and personal items as one should everywhere in an urban environment. Enjoy the views!
It’s incredible that something of this size is in the middle of the city - and it’s not even the biggest park! I really enjoyed being able to lounge here while on vacation. Hard to beat California / west coast lifestyle! Just one of many gems included in a trip to San Francisco.
Great view of the city, and lots of space. Usually a very popular space on the weekends when the weather is nice. Its very gay, just like the rest of the city, so your perfect spot if thats your cup of tea. The grass seems well kept and there is a small playground to bring your kids. Usually people play their own music and spend the entire weekend there
Though a bit small, this park is a beautiful and refreshing green space with palm trees, flowers, and plants which truly bring the place to life. If you want a picnic or a place to go for a walk, definitely go here. It is well worth the visit.
Get here on a good day, and your definitely not the only one there.Great area, fun people, lots of san francisco glory is embodied here.
I WAS THERE ON 10/2/20 STAYED BRIEFLY IT WAS GETTING TO HOT BUT IT IS A NICE PLACE TO HANGOUT AT .
The view of the city is magnificent a variety of different groups of people through out the city coming together and enjoying the moment
Only thing I can say is very peaceful park and great views of San Francisco, wish I could have spent more time here. Has great local bus connections and park is well maintained family friendly and restrooms are provided. Enjoy
Excellent park to chill and relax. Nice sunny environment. Perfect for outing with friends.
One of the best parks in San Francisco! Great views and great people watching with a few decent Cafes near by. Gets very crowded on nice days.
The largest and busiest park in SF. Apparently it has the highest density of people using the park across the USA. The place gives you a feeling of having come to the beach, with people relaxing and kids playing except that the sand is the trimmed grass and the sea is the city in the backdrop. You get a beautiful view of the city skyline from the highest point. Nice place to spend some time with friends, family or just by yourself.
No trash on the grass like last time and bathrooms were open and rangers on patrol, felt safe, would recommend
A nice large park in San Francisco Mission District. Very popular place with locals. Weekends it will be filled with people enjoying outdoors, Great place to hangout and picnic. There are play structure for kids. You can also enjoy the view SF Skyline from here.
Some of the best city views. It can get super crowded during weekends. I usually dont see a lot of families with kids there. There is an unofficial gay section in the park. Masks are not required as long as you are sitting next to the people you live with. I also like different merchants selling drinks and food. They accept cash and venmo.
Great place to spend couple of hours. Very relaxing and peaceful
Lovely park with great view of the city. It’s usually very warm and they have socially distant circles to relax in and be 6 feet away from everyone.
Veautiful Day spent at the park. Its nice to see people back in the park. This is one of the better kept up ones, I believe.
Aloha! A most beautiful park overseeing the city of San Francisco. Lots of places for the kids to play. Slide, Swings and climbing areas galore. Plenty of grassy spots to hang out. Totally awesome spot. Restrooms very clean for a public park.
I was lucky to see the park on a bright sunny day, during my trip to San Francisco. The view of the city is just gorgeous! I spent a couple of hours there chilling, exploring and taking pictures. The park is impeccably tidy, therere a lot of people having a good time, kids playing and dogs running freely. The park is a must-visit for those passing through the Mission.
The group peeps were in their circles, others wandering around. Masks were definitely not 75%. Everyone was very well behaved at 4pm. Later, who knows? Much dreaded six packs of beer seem to be entering, no surrounding, the park. Time to leave.
Gorgeous as always! Lots of people but there seemed to be pretty consistent mask usage and reasonable social distancing
Nothing beats the sweet smell of dope wafting with the cool bay breeze - this is the place for it! Hundreds of people gather each day to worship the sun, drink beers, relax, chat and enjoy the unparalleled views of San Francisco’s downtown. Awesome sunrises and spectacular sunsets
Dolores Park offers an absolutely amazing view of the city of San Francisco. Great for picnics, drinks or simply just to chill and smoke up, this park is consistently one of the most beautiful, spacious parks in the heart of SF. Always a dazzling view to come back to and a wonderful hang-out spot with friends!
No glass!! Remember its a park with kids because the park rangers will! Otherwise, safe space to have some socially distant drinks and chill in the nice weather (while we have it) go to spot for almost any event right now! Enjoy it!!
I loved being here and if people have the necessary care in distancing themselves.
Great park to relax or have picnic with your friends. Easily accessible and great vibe
Great Park! Social Distancing is truly practice! Awesome weather! Bring extra clothes ofcourse! Also bring a pad, blanket or chair because the grass is watered frequently.
Great place for having a great picnic with friends, family and pets its a very family, LGBTQ, oriented plust they have a tennis court. Roman restroom for man alfresco, plus regular restrooms. You can definitely bring you food, wine/cocktails and definitely keep your social distancing is greatly encourage. Also very safe space
A little slice of heaven in the busy city. One of the warmer and sunnier spots in SF. Bring a towel or blanket, the ground always is a bit damp. Cold beers recommended
Lovely views and tons of interesting people. Definitely a throwback to old SF.
I really do not know how to review a park :)Has grass and trees, is outside - working as designed!
July 4th Outdoors Picnic with masks. Park distancing only happened when we arrived very early in the morning. After 11am the park was too crowded, so we left.
They added circles for social distancing. There were a lot of people, but also a decent number of empty spots when we went around 5pm.
Great views of San Francisco Dolores Park represents perfectly the soul of this city. From family with kids, elderly people, young diverse crow, this park has an incredible diversity. Come here to bask in the sun ️ and relax
Relaxed fun place to meet up. Beautiful evening views.
In the heart of the mission district this park is a great green space, lots of room to spread out. There are bathrooms available so thats great too.
Great park to chill and take in the city. Meet up with friends jog around all of that and more.
Green grass area in the city center that you see scenic city. Shades and sunny kindergarten clean toilets. I definitely recommend this place. However dont park your car side of park at late night otherwise probably you might have broken glass issue. I saw a lot of broken glasses there.
Wonderful scenic views of the city near and far. Great, positive atmosphere and social distancing compliant with the 6-foot circles. Bathrooms are also very clean.
Great hangout spot in the middle of town! They have circle drawn in the grass to help with social distancing and keeping everyone safe.
A fun children playground for all ages with their parents or guardians to enjoy fun time. There are many climbing areas with different difficulty levels, besides few slides that attract anyone who wonders in the park and many more obstacles that promote motor skills development. Its a well maintained open space, located in Dolores Park and surrounded by great view of downtown San Francisco and nearby neighborhood. Its close to public transportation and neighborhood street parkings.
Such a beautiful place! If you go early in the morning you can see lots of hummingbirds on the trees and a gorgeous sunrise.Very nice place to go with your children, the is a big place for them to play freely. Also is a very good place to go with your dog as its really big and your pet will be able to do a lot of exercise!
Mission Dalores Park is a breathtaking scenery with beautiful trees, well maintained manicured lawns and a complete kids play area. The creators took advantage of the valley to give a view of the city living and residential areas. The tennis courts and walking alleys completes it giving room to sports enthusiasts and dog lovers to enjoy themselves
Happy Pride today! Thank heavens was warm as lots of bare skin... Lol... What a gorgeous park--and packed as usual for a gorgeous Sunday but especially for todays celebration!
Nice to relax here on a sunny weekday afternoon. Facing East on the grassy embankment I watch the wild parrots making noise between the palm trees on Dolores. It gets crowded here weekends. Did you know that this place used to be a cemetery?
It is Missiom Dolores Park that is why I love it. Sun and shade and world-class people watching. I always feel safe and cozy at Mission Dolores Park.
Beautiful park. Great skyline.Green grass for dogs off leash.
Perfect weather, views of downtown, Oakland and even Mt.Diablo make this 5 star.
Great atmosphere! Vibes are cool and really good for people watching... Especially hot guys sun bathing. Watch out for panhandlers. Family friendly city park with lots of relaxation.
Famous park offering excellent views of the city. Public restrooms are available. Also a playground. Plenty of trees so you can chill in sun or shade. There’s a muni metro line that runs right next to the park. When I went there were a lot of people enjoying the space.
Great open park! It had some tennis courts as well.
Police keeping social distance and giving away masks. Super multi cultural park with bathrooms, great views, food vendors, and perfect for impromptu picnic with friends.
Not my favorite park in SF, but still a great one! Plenty of open space and a fun little playground (Closed due to COVID unfortunately).
One of the best parks in all of San Francisco. The park is located in the Mission District and it is visited by both locals and tourists alike. The Mission district is generally warmer and sunnier compared to other areas in the city. This means that you can enjoy great weather almost all year round. You also get a great view of the city skyline! For those who want to pratice sports - the park has a basketball court and a few tennis courts. The park is also family friendly as it comes with a pretty big play area for kids. Most folks brings their dogs to the park which means there are 4- legged friends running everywhere in the park. The park has a pretty diverse crowd and it is also fun to people watch. There are people from all over the city and the park is generally safe. If you are lucky you may get to see the truffle man in action!
A great place to chill out with some beers.
Nice place to lay in the sun and hang out with friends!
I love Mission Dolores Park. Used to go there 5 days a week on my breaks from Uber. Friendly people and safe environment. San Francisco is the bomb!!!!!!
My happy place to chill. Cool the park has white circles for social distancing
If the weather is nice, there are few better places to enjoy it.
Great atmosphere!! So happy everyone was respecting the covid guidelines
Beautiful Park in San Francisco, with a stunning view of the City skyline. This park has 2 playgrounds for children, clean restroom facilities and water fountains, 2 tennis courts, a jogging and walking path, benches for sitting and many beautiful hills to sit on, and plenty of beautiful lush grassy areas to sit and take in the sun for tanning or Yoga.
What a spectacular space! Did not want to leave.
On a sunny Sunday, its such a treat enjoying the green, the views, the dogs going bonkers with happiness at every thrown ball...
Lively park with beautiful views of the city. Great place to read, have a picnic or just chill
It has been a few years since Id spent time in Delores Park. In that time, it has been updated with New tennis courts, a kids play area, a couple of off-leash dog areas, and paved walkways. I really thought they were going to mess it up but theyve done a nice job. For the pandemic, as well as the greater density of people using it now, they have chalked out socially distanced circles in the grass -- it works well.
So pretty, specially in a good weather day. Bring your blanket, music, and favorite food and drinks. Just make sure you dispose all that you brought - keep this beauty clean. It is a judgment free zone, where you do you and everyone else is going the same. You will encounter the coconut guy who had fresh coconuts and adds rum to it. Outstanding. They do have bathrooms - lines are long but move fairly fast.
People gathering there to drink and smoke for fun times.
Amazing fun place i live the i dolores sign
Great playground for kids, nice views of the city and plenty of space for a picnic or a walk with your family/friends or to play with your dog.
Perfect view to relax and take n the city!
Beautiful Park with great community around:This is the park you will love it, either you go for winter morning walk, sun bath at sunny day, sunset, or at night. Because the view of city makes your time worth each moment.Reaching their through commute is also easy. It was designed at such a huge cost and opened for the community. There was a time, where park had reservation allowance and it costs you anywhere between 30$ to 600$ depends on the group size. But as peoples anger on the charges, it is now completely free for everyone.Clean, peaceful and with so many awesome views, its worth your visit anytime!
Love the park, often times hate the polluters who trash it on a daily basis. Its always great for people watching or for grabbing a selfie with the ever changing San Francisco skyline as a backdrop.
