My good memories in lovely SF. AMC theatre, Healthy and affordable foods.
1st time ever Im this wonderful venue. Was on a visit to see Velveteen Rabbit. Wonderful performance.
This is one of my favorite areas to walk around in when I just want to get out of my room for a while and enjoy the sunshine️
A great place to have concerts. Fabulous location. Quality sound system and the stage was very viewable.
Went to an amazing exhibit. So wonderful, different and thought provoking.
Cultural arts center, dance, media music. Close to Financial District and museums. Easy public transportation. Child friendly playground.
I attended a tech conference here. The place is easy to reach, located on Mission St. There is plenty of open space - green lawns as well as tree covered areas with benches. I could also see a few people playing chess. There are takes with chess boards painted on.There is a large main auditorium and at least one smaller one.
I had a wonderful field trip into San Francisco to see the Bay Area now exhibit at yerba buena Center for the Arts. I hadnt been there since the show I attended a few years back. The building is absolutely beautiful and it sits adjacent to a large Park in the Metreon. Ybca has a small gift shop and lots of other artistic venues such as films and performances. Its a true San Francisco gem.
I saw an abstract futuristic exhibition. Makes you think of other perspectives.
Its a not as formal place to see up comming petfomers
Its got a very good performance space.
Some great performances but the atmospherics are modern and cold. You have to ignore the theater to enjoy the performance.
I have been going to the YBC for over 20 15 years now. I have been their recently for the Alonzo King Lines Ballet October 2019 season premier. I have been at the center for their Free garden festivals, MLK Day, Art Salons, the Museum/Gallery events, Community teach-ins, and annual garden festivals. Most of all, I love the MLK waterfall. I is soothing and is a great place to meet folks and then go upstairs to the few restaurants or just sit and listen to the water falls.
We had our own event there in end of August, and the space is versatile to accommodate for any kind of setup. Wonderful location.
Great space! Perfect space to spend an afternoon. Gin at the front desk is phenomenal and will make you feel at home. Rotating exhibits, inviting lounge and free locker storage.
Was there for Google next conference, good rooms and restrooms (all one needed in that context).
Great venue!!! A trendy, not over the top relaxing atmosphere.Came here for the Asian American Film Fest launch. The walls were covered with various art, there was a bar, and a couple of DJs. Nice chill joint with easy going folks.
Went for the Tribe Called Quest tribute show. Facilities are great, you can park in the big lot on Mission and 4th. Only issue I had was the fake smoke they pumped in for atmosphere. Unnecessary and aggravating to my Asthma.
This place is gorgeous! The building is even bigger than it looks from the outside. The security officers there are so nice, all of the staff really. Always smiling and ready to help in any way they can.
Culture art w/ inspiration to visit more of the city. Oakland artists are amazing. Glad and appreciate yall
Terry Riley compositions strung silver into Harmony of all the audiences Hearts. Large venue easily held the music in long returning waves of infinite goodness and Love.
Every time I come here I am enchanted. During my most recent visit there was a Filipino cultural event. It is a magical green space in the midst of a fine city.
The Curatorial Research Bureau has too many interesting books for just one visit.
Always a great place to watch high quality performances. Love it!
Spoke here as part of Google Next. Awesome infrastructure and staff and an overall brilliant experience for the speakers and audience.
Wonderful location to hold large quality events
Just gorgeous, well-appointed, and ready for your next major event. Ive been planning events in San Francisco for almost 20 years, and while Ive considered YBCA before and was even briefly negotiating a contract for a multi-space event that would have taken over the green space and Metreon too, I have TOTALLY failed until now to appreciate how perfectly suited YBCA is to a number of awesome event formats. The staff, the space, the location within the city, and the furnishings are all GORGEOUS. I cant wait to join my team onsite at the October event we have planned there. Thanks for being SUCH a gem of our city.
Was actually proforming there but it is a very nice place to go.
Check out the MLK fountain and memorial, esp. behind the fountain - wise words. Sit on the grass and relax for a bit on your shopping trip or museum hopping. Across the street on Mission is the Jewish Contemporary Museum. Go there; dont miss its contemporary exhibits, which far exceed expectations and are more contemporary/modern than other museums.
A wonderful art gallery featuring a variety of thought provoking pieces. I visited the “Bay Area Now” show and was impressed. However, some of the digital art pieces were hit-or-miss due to technical difficulties at the time I visited.
Excellent location, not very well equipped to deal with rain and weather events.
Awesome venue for a conference. Beautiful surrounding area of the city.
This is a huge center in the fri ges of San Francisco. With acres and acres of assets and open spaces, it is calming to visit. The theater is first class, and small enough so there is no bad stat anywhere
Really nice modern state of the art facilities!
Charming theater. Very comfortable seating. Good sight-lines. Convenient public transportation.
Truly horrible place with extremely unwelcoming staff. Go to the museum of modern art down the street. They are welcoming and wonderful and much more worth your time.
Great theatre, interesting and genre-diverse line up for the year! Love that pop of yellow
Nice atmosphere, always state of the art events
Beautiful grounds with a fabulous theater for the Arts.
Unique, exciting galleries. Enjoyed MLK event with community access for all.
Beautiful venue. Saw several shows and ballets here
Nice venue, tech history
I went July 15, Sunday pm. The rainbow-haired lady acting as security in the Future Farmers exhibit had a very negative vibe & tone, maybe power hungry. I touched something that looked like it was meant for guests to try out the movement (they were a row of boat oars held by straps) & there were no signs that said not to touch & she came up to me with a mean look and scolded me like a child. Later I saw someone else touch it to try out the oar movements, too. Put a Do Not Touch sign like professional galleries & museums do if youre going to scold guests for it when its not their fault for a lack of signs. Or at least be courteous about informing guests not to touch things. As far as the architectural exhibit & farmer exhibit, everything seemed unfinished or done with half effort & very little to look at. So if youre on a budget, its not worth the $10 for both exhibits unless youd like to pay to help support them. The cashier ladies are extremely nice though, especially the Asian with boy short hair, very positive welcoming helpful vibe.
Great place, in San Francisco to see arts
WE had 5#kids channeling Tom Jones! So much energy and Fun!Tons of refreshing New Art to enjoy&explore!
Very relaxing, but it should be kept cleaner
I just like going there to sit. The energy is great and it seems like nice people bring their kids there to play. An oasis.
This is a Nice place for a picnik!
I was here for the Vanity Fair New Establishment Summit and it is a beautiful center. It has this cinematic feeling when you are inside. And it is quite cozy. If you get a chance to go there some time for an event, dont miss up on the opportunity.
Great outdoor space. Plenty of room for small children to run around. They host festivals and fairs here. They had a live band onstage last Sunday 5-6-2018
Nice place for event venue
Staff were being RUDE and I ask a staff where is the bathroom and the staff didnt even lead me to the bathroom and left and made me find it myself and another staff was being rude assume that I had a pen which btw was clearly a lead pencil and had the audacity to have an excuse of how it was too dark when it literally can be seen
Beautiful place to relax, enjoy the view, and enjoy the many things to do in this place and the surrounding area. It,s designed for the whole family to enjoy.
Completely worth a visit when you are in San Francisco. The grounds are beautiful and the location is great.
I was there for the choreographer Robert Moses it was outstanding
A huge center. Wonderful art gallery featuring
Came here during Dreamforce 2018. Great outdoor spaces. Felt safe.
I like the location very nice seating outside and beautiful art. I think the staff isnt very friendly though.
Have seen many shows over the years at the year between a center for the arts including the Lamplighters, Smuin Ballet and Lines Ballet,. This very modern facility in the heart of San Francisco is wonderful.
Great event venue: good auditorium, and plenty of indoor and outdoor space for socialising.
The Christmas Ballet is a must-see!
Interesting exhibits.
Lanplighters music theater performed The Pirates of Penzance. It was very good. The orchestra was on point and the performance was captivating.
Theres a lot going here in these buildings. Theres dance, music, and art with limit showing times. Where can you go where a whole art display is created around vinyl records which you can spin on record players. Or write message on a wall? Watch beautify dance movements. This is the place, you have to keep track of the calendar because theres a lot going on here.
Enjoyed the free day and the displays. I grabbed this sarong and it made for a lovely picture. Thank you Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.
Smuin ballet performed, as usual ..they were fantastic
Alonzo King Lines great performance.
A wonderful downtown venue for the arts. The surrounding park is also well worth the visit, especially during a nice sunny day with a picnic lunch. In the summer there are many live music events in the adjacent park.
Very awesome. Go often.
Good value at $10
What a beautiful and peaceful place. Highly recommend it!
Great place to spend an afternoon or evening....alone ....with another....or with your Spouse.Very professional and knowledgeable staffThank you Governor Brown!!
Excellent, diverse arts programs and shows!
The curation is impressive. All of the exhibits that I have seen are extremely thought provoking and inspiring. Check out their calendar of events! Awesome performances lined up!
This place is really cool and peaceful! They had a free admission event that I went to and it was nice. It was an open artist night to put there projects up to view to see if they can make it into the city.
Very good place to visit.
I love this place, I try to go as often as I can. Such beautiful art work and amazing vibes. One of my favorite ways to spend a day in the city. Everyone should go at least 4 times cause once isnt enough
It’s a small museum with a nicely curated exhibitions and performance.
My cultural favourite place in SF.
A hidden gem (or maybe not so hidden--the place is huge), with the sort of arts that you wont find at more typical museums. Theres performance art, concerts, painting, sculpture, electronic installations, audiovisual exhibits and film screenings. I love the eclectic and community-focused approach.
Location of the Smuin Christmas Ballet. Central location but I recommend using a cab, Lyft, Uber to get there. That way you wont have to deal with the parking issues. It is a well laid out theatre. I enjoyed the show there.
Lots of cool exhibits
Great place for events!
Great place to go see art
Come through on one of their free days to check it out on a budget!
